Last year I shared my tent with a buddy and it was his first elk camp with me and his last. Lol the guy snored so loud I didn't sleep and was up all night yelling at him to keep him from good R.E.M. sleep so.it was at least quiet lol. Still love him tho. Awesome that Wes is got bow in hand. And I hope he gets a big ass bull. God bless boys!
Bitter sweet to see you all hiking up that trail. If you tag out I’ve got trail cams pics of the bull(s) from earlier in the summer. The wolves had been in there since mid August and it wasn’t what it normally is this year. It’s unfortunate.
Trent-Cpap machines aren’t too bad. I got diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea about 6-7 years ago. It takes awhile to get used to sleeping with the mask, but it is worth it. Might be a little tough to take hunting though. Fingers crossed that we see Wes with some blood on his hands in this series. Can’t wait for the next video!

I was thinking sleep apnea myself and then you brought it up. Met you at exo Christmas party so pretty obvious you are in descent shape but please go get tested . Complications including death can occur from it. Obviously in the back country you cant run a c pap machine but nose strips do make a difference in air flow through nasal cavity. If you happen to have sinuses that get plugged up in the evening there are also nasal drops that will clear your nasal pathways which again makes a huge difference in how well you breath at night. Even if test comes back good the nasal strips and drops will still help and if snoring you are not getting as good a sleep as you could. Excited for tomorrows episode.
Reading others comments apparently you can use batteries but obviously packing in miles it may not be reasonable to pack and that is where simple nose strips and the drops ,if effective , may be a good option
Hey you guys are so much fun to watch. You guys also do a lot better job at the intro and editing and just the overall show you put together than the network hunting shows, which are what my husband and I use to watch. Now we just watch Born and Raised Land of the Free and we did start watching the Idaho guys as well. We love how you all support each other and help each other out. We also love the positivity and the prayer at the beginning of each hunt. Thank you I have a suggestion of something that would be a lot of fun that you guys should do; and I'll put money on who would win. You all should do an episode of a "bugling contest" with all the guys from the different states and let us be the judges. Though we love ALL OF YOU, I think the winner would be Jason Phelps. Trent- Take the Sleep Test. I did over 20 years ago and have become an evangelist for CPAP. I take it on every hunt powered by batteries and it is awesome. In the meantime my wee-wifey likes me more since I don't keep her awake with her worrying that I won't actually start breathing again.
Holy crap, on my last hunt when I layed on my back I kept choking myself awake, you think this could be some sort of that? I'm so afraid to be on one of those machines tho.

I fought it for a night or two but when I started dreaming again, I thought damn this is cool. the guy who showed me how to use it said your result will be determined by how compliant you are. If you fight it you will be miserable. I lost 25 lbs and started sleeping better. BONUS! I take it everywhere no and love it.

Everyone please listen to @Andy Heffron's advice PLEASE, My father had this issue and he died at 46, he had this issue very very badly he would wake up every 5 minutes gasping for air and had to sleep on his knees leaning into a recliner! PLEASE get yourselves to a Doctor and ask about it.

Dear Trent : Sleep Apnea is not something you want to screw around with ! Get a sleep study done ! PLEASE .. When the doctor tells you how many times and how often you STOPPED breathing during the night, you will decide to do something about it. I did- and I still go Elk Hunting..
Amen to that. My late wife would go 40- 120 seconds struggling to breathe until she woke enough to grab a breath. Neither of us got much restful sleep until we got CPAP machines.

I LOVE the series, and I look forward to sitting down every night and watching. I will say though that your hunts in Idaho the last two years have been a little disappointing on where you have chosen to hunt. obviously we havn't gotten to see the entire hunt, but everytime you hunt Idaho you talk about sage brush and open terrain. of course it can be beautiful itself in many ways, but Idaho has more wilderness than any of the states you have hunted prior. More than colorado, more than montana, and more than Wyoming. What I mean when I say wilderness is true wilderness, beautiful, untamed and rugged. From the sawtooths, to the frank, big creek, and the lick creeks, the seven devils, and the lush rain forest of north Idaho, surely you guys can pick a place in land of the free 3.0 that we are all hoping to see that represents Idaho better. There is Plenty of "trophy country" in Idaho as Trent would say that rivals colorado and even wyoming for sure. Idaho has some of the most beautiful mountains in the northern rockies. I realize there is the challenge of wolves and bears, ect, but in many of these beautiful spots I talk about there are over the counter tags. Please next year pick a spot in Idaho that shows the true beauty the state I call home has to offer. It is never ending and not that hard to find. if you need some ideas let me know. Hope wes gets a bull. cant wait to see it.

I would guess they have first lites lightweight morino wool socks. I own 3 pairs of them and freaking love them

Pillar treatment for snoring. I was a huge snorer. Now I'm not
