Treavor, at the 3:32 mark, you said, "It's a great life, if you don't weaken." Memory is an amazing thing. The guys were talking about the wind, and you came up with that memory of what your dad told you long ago. But it seemingly has nothing to do with the wind. Your dad is a badass!! When you said that line, my ears perked up. It is a line from the chorus of a song called Ride the Wind, by James Gang, from the album Bang (1973). The song was written by one of my favorite guitarists of all time, Tommy Bolin, who played lead guitar for the James Gang at that time. chorus: It's a great life If you don't weaken It's a great life If you try and be strong Turn your head and face the season Ride the wind before it's gone. One of my favorite albums of all time. Watching LOF 2.0 while I work. Went through the first series already. A little late to the game. Hope you do a 3.0 in 2019!! I doubt I'll see you in the woods here in Colorado. I will be hunting during the muzzleloading season. If i draw what I applied for, I will be hunting mule deer, cow elk, moose, and hopefully the first OTC bear tag offered for muzzleloading! See you out there!!
I completely agree with your sentiments of enjoying the hunt, even if you don’t kill out. I have so many great memories while elk hunting. It is hard to explain to others who haven’t tried it but it runs in my veins now. Elk season is part of my life and I love it!
Cody, you’ve been great this whole series. I’ve really enjoyed watching Phelps in CO. Guy has a great attitude and a cool sense of humor. The name of the game is to fill a tag but when you have a guy like that in your group it always boosts group morale whether you’re successful or not at the end of the day.
This series so far has been great. Every day I can’t wait to get the notification that the new video is ready to watch. You guys are an inspiration to a lot of people keep up the awesome work and good luck
Love these vids. I watch them with my 4 year old son. He's always asking if we can watch "Elk hunting". Great videos and I love that you try to keep them kosher so I don't mind him watching with me!
Took off work early today to watch today's video!! Hahaha take off early from work twice now for these videos.. once for Elk 101 and Destination Elk now once for this one! Bring on the 4 day weekend of duck anf goode huntin and Land Of The Free 2.0!
It’s crazy how elk hunting can be such a game of inches. A few inches here or there and everybody would be tagged out. Can’t wait for the rest of the series......... and ol 3 arrow!!!
Right on brother, me too. Born and Raised in Polson, MT. Joined USAF after high school, now live in CO wishing I was back in MT but not much for good paying jobs so CO will have to do for now.
Stoked for the MT hunt vids as it's my home state. Thinking you'll have much better luck this year due to change in time frame you are going. Good Luck! Also can't wait to see the bald, ginger hunt with y'all again.
When you commented about the places and things you have been and seen while holding a tag. I never thought about what I have experienced out there and would have never known about in the 40 yrs of carrying tags. Thanks for the great vids and I'm hoping Trevor gets one.
Gary Wagstaff I agree Gary. I’m only 4 years into hunting and I’ve seen stuff my dad has never seen in 50+ years of hunting. I’ve experienced things he hasn’t experienced. It’s been an amazing 4 seasons.
Good luck on the last day of Colorado. Hopfully you get a high elevation bull. Excited for the episode. May be low on success but episodes are still awesome. Me and the wife look forward to it every day.
First..thank yall for the 30 yr anniversary shout out. I played that for the wife and she got a kick out of that! Secondly, Happy Thanksgiving!! Third..I missed the live chat giveaways but am fixing to watch that episode next. Take care and thank you again for that awesome shout out. It meant a lot to know yall found my request amongst all the comments. I can only imagine how hard it must be to keep up with everything on a day to day basis.
This method of calling a bull in works the most. Do a locate bugle, if you get a response find out where the bull is and move in closer. Then do a lost cow call, if you get a response then do an estrus call. Very effective.
Hey guys how's it going I've got a question what's the best state to buy over the counter tags in for quality bulls me and my brother and law are going elk hunting this year and want to at least see a big elk BC neither one of us has ever seen a elk before where from south carolina and we are going to archery hunt thanks we just want some good odds
literally cant wait for the live i never never win anything lol but still haha. love the series also likes the end of the video to see how you guys pack stuff.now i just need my exo.
Survey says...Ty Stubblefield. Were you guys really surprised by Casey's office? It sounded like it was genuine. Loved the re-pack of B-Mac's pack! On shift and missing family Thanksgiving but the new episode will help pass the time.
For someone who has never owned a pair of Crispi boots, which model would you recommend? Since all of you are wearing different models it is hard to decide which might be a good choice for a newbie to Crispi.
Happy Thanksgiving boys!! Catch you on the flipside. Getting up at 5am to drop a 24 pound bird on the Traeger. Couldn't sleep so i had to catch up on the 2.0!! 🇺🇸🏹
Happy Thanksgiving to Born and Raised Outdoor Team, I totally enjoy all your videos!! One thought for you, they call it Hunting, not killing, so quit apologizing for not shooting something, I'm sure I'm like most of your viewers, we like watching the tactics of the pursuit even if it ends without the kill, that's real. I think your meeting up with Ty in Montana.
