  • Here's an effective way to boost engagement on your email campaigns by resending them to non-openers in Mailchimp. However, there are a couple of caveats that you should be aware of when resending unopened emails.

Mailchimp revamped the segment filter options - gone is campaign activity, instead, look for email interaction. What has been your experience with resending unopened emails? Did contacts unsubscribe or send spam complaints?

For me, this is very helpful resending unopened emails instead of creating an automation for unopened emails.

Hello! I have a question. I created the segment just like you showed in the video. Afterwards I went to my campaign and selected the segment I want to send the email to. However, the number of recipients was slightly lower than the number showed in my segment. Why is that? Is that just an approximate number? Thank you for an answer :)

Yes, I have a question. I do not get the +new segment button. Why?

  • @hemelbrug4622

Doesn't work for me either. I sent it to 718 people, 256 opened and when I apply this it gives a 'new segment' of 711 people... ???

Thanks for the video and I have done this before but I'm in a world of pain with this time. I originally sent an email to a custom list within my audience (teachers who used Product A OR B) and included in the Do Not Send box the segment "parents". I got the audience I wanted and the original email was sent. Now I want to send to the exact same audience, but only those who did not open. I've tried a couple of ways but it tells me the audience is zero. It also wont allow me to use OR and AND in the same segment - is this normal? It should work if I could use the filters Teachers who use Product A OR Product B AND Did Not Open campaign X. But no luck and no support from MailChimp for the free version. 😞

Hi, thanks for the video! I wanted to ask if I want to send another email to those who already open the email and click the link on the email, what automation can I use and how do I use it?

  • @apriljanbergundo1298

can you prepare this ahead of time or do you actually need to do this on the day you are resending the email?

  • @exploringtaiji

The video is very clear - only it doesn’t work :( I have followed your instructions step by step. No matter what campaign I try it with, it ends up saying 0 recipients match. Any suggestions?
