Halaand plays in Germany, which is definitely lower level now, given how Bayern Munich easily dominate the league. So it's not a far comparison. Let Halaand come to a proper league first, and actually do something at international level, remember Mbappe is one of the youngest World cup goal scorers and winners in football history.

@Bao Thuy I completely disagree with you. It's a narrow minded point you're making. Every trophy won by any team is earned on the pitch, and not on the negotiating table (barring the stellar signings of course). So by your argument, teams like Real Madrid and Man Utd have not 'bought' their titles because their history entitles them to the trophies; yet Chelsea and Man City have no right to them. Chelsea bought a higher quality of player and coach to their club, as did Man City. That does not guarantee any trophy, and I'm sure non of the trophies can be 'bought' as you put it. The trophies are won through hard work on the training field and in matches. This argument that certain teams can break transfer records and win the big trophies and others can't because their history is not as illustrious as another team is so boring now. To me it seems you feel that only clubs will 500 million fans around the world qualifies any success they attain as not being bought. Chelsea earned their new owner because of what they did on the pitch to attract the new owner. Yes the weren't title contenders before, but they had a recent history of winning trophies before, including a European one. As a Norwegian it is ofc interesting to read about the international attention Haaland gets. The arguably most interesting was the (former) coaching staff of BvB
that was pretty much shocked when they started doing tests systematically on him. Haaland actually made some brass claim someth along the lines of
'there is smth wrong with our German football academies-we will never pick up potential players with physical characteristics like Erling'- the point being that
a guy like him would be sent to track&field for javelin throw, sledgehammer, pot shot or smth like that.
#1 Erling is immensely strong for his age. When they say he eats like a horse it is probably true. He needs energy like a weightlifter.
#2 For such a tall guy with some beef attached, he is lightning fast, especially those first crucial meters. He can gain space on a defender like very few others.
#3 He is a pure nr 9, almost in a classical way. He is a Joe Jordan with 3-stage turbos attached. As mentioned, his movement pattern is very much like Vardy.
Not much lateral movement on the heat map, a clear direction towards the box and fighting for his right to be there. Look at how he acts when BvB are on set pieces.
Most defenders are used to dominate in their own box when speed isnt the most prevalent factor. When Erling is in there and in the zone its like he throws defenders
up on the stands merely by looking at them. Not many strikers have that fear factor and ability to dominate the actions of the surroundings like him.
Even guys like VvD who are built very much the same way like Erling, admit he is a handful. In ice hockey, we talk about 'power forwards'. That is the easiest way
to describe him. You will always feel his physical presence.
Haaland at ST with Mbappe on the left and Sancho on the right. Tell me that aint one of the most lethal sounding strike forces in recent history
Why sancho? Why mention him in the Same sentence
Sancho can’t get his game for a mid table club
Henry has such great knowledge id love to see him more on sky sports
Sevilla keeper gave halaand the chest and couldn't take it when halaand have him some chest back. Halaand doesn't mind a banter war. Man wears his heart on his sleeve. Breath of fresh air
0:32 i see the smirk after being on top of the list 😂
Ever since I saw Harland I started praying pep would get him, this kid will break all records
This aged well
From what I've heard, Mbappe goes missing quite a bit in Ligue 1, while Haaland literally can't stop scoring no matter what. They're obviously different types of players but if I had to take one it would be Haaland.
He was leading scorer 4 times in a row..
Only similarities mbappe has with henry is pace, explosiveness and decision making. Doesnt have the hold up, link up play, freekicks, height, strength, and playmaking ability.
Mbappe is actually crazy strong though if you look at his build, remember how he brushed off Pique. His assists also suggest he's got some solid playmaking ability, but I'll agree on the others.
Mbappé’s playmaking is not bad at all. Obviously not hear Henry but he could get there
Pique in his prime would have bullied Mbappe ,now he is just to slow to play in top 5 Leagues
Mbappe isnt similar to Henry. More similar to R9. Only reason people him compare to Henry is because he is a French striker who can run with the ball
You don't watch ligue 1 much
Thierry is just pure class
I like how Henry always shuts down the laughing with a big NUUUUUUUUUUUH
It sounds like Henry is calling Haaland ‘Alan’ 😅
Silent H😂
French people are unable to say "H". When french person says to you "I ate you", he/she is actually saying "I hate you".
Real Madrid : (4-3-3) Courtois,Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Mendy,Casemiro, Valverde, Odegaard,Rodrygo,Haaland,Mbappé Substitutes: Altube (GK), Vinicius, Asensio,Van de Beek,Camavinga, Reinier, Militao,Gutiérrez (LB), Victor Chust,
@@nelsonlopes8487 Yeah and Lewandowski, Van Dijk, CR7.
@@sebastianrm1973 Cristiano will stay at Juve, Lewandowski at Bayern and Van Dijk at Liverpool... Real Madrid has already chosen the next merengues
I got to say haaland, mbappe is a bit off and on some games sometimes he doesn’t show up but haaland every game he is scoring
He’s just a different breed
Agreed, when Haaland gets in a super team and gets more help he’s definitely winning the Champions League more then 1 time if he stays healthy
Honestly I believe that Mbappes numbers would be comparable if he was in Dortmund.
Mbappe is defo clear mbappe creates aswell Look at thier assist stats
Mbappe has to juggle the ball with Neymar, Icardi, Di Maria.... Halaand has became the sole point of bVb
Respect to Thierry. Love you man :)
Thierry is still my favorite player ever had a life size poster of him in my room my whole life. Most graceful player IMO
Thierry Henry is hilarious 😂
Does Henry ever actually answer a question?
Theres nothing better than seeing a world class strikers talk about future world class strikers with such respect and accuracy.
Henry has improved soo much as a pundit! 👍👏😎
When you realise that Thierry prefers haaland but he is mbappes idol so he doesn’t want to ruin his confidence
Horrible insight.
@@nickabella876 as a french player I would say Thierry Henry is the idol football player of their country and Thierry is french so he will always support players from his country
I love Henry 😂😂 Funny guy, and what a wonderful player he was.
Absolutely Amazing.
9:20 Someone make a meme of "I loved it, I like that, I loved it, I like that, you like it?" 😂😂😂😂please
YESS PLEASE 🤣🤣
9:23 is when Jamie found out Henry is the love of his life 😂
😂😂more romance in that moment than in titanic
Mbappe is a player that you would like for your ream but haaland is a player that every team needs
Consistency, power, speed
Man is a machine

@@nelsonlopes8487 where in my comment did i ask you to reply with a line up
Thats a good comparison. This shows how hard the decision is, and not that Henry is trying to avoid the question
Thierry is right, you can't compare the two and it's clear what their strengths are. However I think there's different teams who needs one of their strengths more than the other. I think more clubs need Haalands strengths more than Mbappe's...
Hard question. But I would personally go for Mbappe. Haaland is really good. But I would like to see how consistent he can be in the next 3 years.
has been injured this season
Haaland has done unreal things in such a short period
Lionel Messi won balloon D or in his age🤫
@@shaaanuu Nobody asked. What’s that got to do with Haaland?
@@shaaanuu they and we comparing Mbap and Haaland, not messi. Messi is a decade plus older, about to retire and spent his entire career until recently, with some of the best players on the planet. Messi is my all time fave.
8:31 😂 😂 😂
😂😂😳
sus
Hahahahaaha
My guys moving like totenham
Can't lie, I paused for a sec when I heard that 😂
Hopefully see one ov them in premier league next season would be lovely
The legend, TH14, needs to be on the show regularly.
I want Henry to come back into Sky punditry but also be a great coach too...
It's Mpabbe for me. He brings a lot more to the team than just goal scoring.
like ? Do you even watch ligue 1 ? rofl
The fact that haaland is just a goalscorer is a lie they say the same with cr7 which is also a lie
@Silvestre cr7 is the goat
@@user-ye9zc2ol5v ye just after messi
@@DJ-wn2dg lmao
When Haaland is running the pitch on a break - with his size & speed - defenders look like they want no part of him. His desire is palpable.
Haaland makes it look easy, he really is special
Let’s not say anyone is better Let’s just hope Mbappe + Haaland can maintain the same tensity that Ronaldo and Messi had
please no. I dont want to hear haaland vs mbappe in every second football arcticle over the next 15 years. Thats why the 90s and 2000s were better. There were not just two guys
@@soulsmischief2626 well said.
If city is looking for a striker then they should go for Haaland. They got plenty of great wingers atm.
Dave is actually such a funny man
9:21 henry “i like that” 😂 about to spunk himself 😂
