    Thanks for the tips Jardier, I think you are one of some nicest guys in racing sim youtube. I agree with you, aggresive preset is the very good basic to start go fast. Setting up cars is only to make the car fit to our driving style, but most importantly our driving style have to be correct first. Since ACC is very realistic, we have to drive here as we drive in race cars. We can't drive like in arcade racing games or even like in AC. So I think the best way to drive fast in ACC is by choosing aggresive preset and setting up our car a bit. We can not use other racers setup, because everyone has his own driving style. Have fun and good luck guys.

    Confused with the ride heights comments. If you raise the ride height you decrease grip and if you lower it you add grip. So raising the rear ride height can only be good if you want less aero load at the rear and increase rotation.

    • @homosapien5623
      @homosapien5623 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      also think about rake angle, raising the rear increases rake angle which shifts the ground effect pressure towards the front meaning more grip at the front.
      rear ride height and rear wing both can affect the handling separately
      the ground effect downforce is a bit more effective than the wing at lower speeds, that means:
      - raising the rear can be used to increase oversteer at lower speeds (shift general downforce forwards)
      - or you can decrease the rear wing to increase oversteer at higher speeds (take away rear downforce)
      some people say you should start with the ride height to find a good balance, then use the rear wing to fine tune it

  • @alexalexandru6192

    In my opinion you need to understand your own driving style to can cope with setups. It s not an easy task and practice make the difference. Even if you change your gear, your rig, your pedals or wheel the setup may change at different level. There are so many variables to understand and thats what make the differences between drivers. For almost one year I decided to race with every car on acc to understand what means every car and which is my fav driving style. Honestly I prefer oversteer but you need a lot of practice to do that. On some tracks i'm 2 seconds slower in practice than the hotlaps and I didn't made big changes in setups. Practi, practice, practice and the practice again. Learn to be consistent and do not compare with others. Cheers.

    When you talked about the IMO temps you said you adjusted the camber because you had a colder “inside” temp but on your stats the “outside” temp was the coldest of the three or did I see that wrong?

      @thomas6063 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @thracian2072
      @thracian2072 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thomas6063 Same here. I think he mis-spoke. I'm guessing if the inner tires are colder and need to be brought up to temp, you would probably have to add negative camber which would emphasize the inside tire surface even more.

      This guy makes clickbait videos only. Whatever I've seen from him, there was nothing more than a 8-10 min video about VERY general info, and nothing specific. But you can see from his video production. This channel is nothing more like a Glamour channel for women. So I block it know with the ChannelBlocker addon. Thanks for reminding me.
      You only need agressive setup plus the right TC value. If you are 3 seconds from the track record, you can look for setups. But until then, it is just racing lines, braking points, carrying the speed. No setups needed.

    • @nomaschalupas2453
      @nomaschalupas2453 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In order for the front tires to gain grip and rotate u need to transfer weight to the front and u do that by using more front bias, not too much though.

      @@jerwatson79 then u are either braking too hard, too soft or need to be quicker getting the brake pressure up but not too much, or simply u put too much bias to the front. One adjustment usually requires others, to the car or ur driving.

    • @nomaschalupas2453
      @nomaschalupas2453 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also most brake bias adjustments are just by 1 or half a percent. every corner has its own optimal percentage that real life drivers would manually adjust at each corner. You have to figure it out based on if u can handle adjusting it while racing or finding the balance for the entire track.

      in your documents folder, you will see assetto corsa competizione folder, in that you will see setup folder. first, create a saved setup for that car at that track, any setup is fine, then you will see the folder for that track under that cars folder, then you can save that .json setup file in that folder. it will then be available in your game.

    Changing spring stiffness isn't something you should just willy nilly change like that. It changes the weight displacement characteristics as well as the transition speeds of the overall suspension. I understand this video is meant for noobies but you shouldn't say it's a minor thing to change, thats very misleading. Spring stiffness, as opposed to sway stiffness, is huge and can create many transitional issues without adjusting damping and various other smaller things that may cause damage from bottoming out depending on how close the limit is. I was like wow he did well giving some simple things for the uninitiated, then you went and said a spring change of what, roughly 10,000 N/m isn't a big change. 🤔 Edit: just realized you said you "tried something new". Don't tell people to change suspension N/m unless they are versed in weight transition, displacement, and have an understanding of damping to a degree. You are still changing the damping by changing the spring, transition from low to high speed is affected by spring selection. So you're inadvertently changing the damping percents.
