Love this! Those timings are super helpful. Do you have any more Oogie Boogie pro-tips? Sounds like we'll be dumping a chunk of time into photo ops. Can you selfie with the villains on the treat trails?
You have maybe 10-30 seconds with characters on the treat trails. The cast members will keep the line moving. There are a few that are less popular, or rather we just came across them later at night when there were fewer people where we could just stand around with them and chat. It depends on how long the line is. Biggest pro tip is to do the Villains Grove either during the first parade, immediately after, or during the second parade.
Do you know how crowded DCA is during the day when OBB is taking place? My family has 3 day tickets and our third day will be at DCA, but it will be an OBB day.
I saw him last year, but not this year. Doesn’t mean he isn’t around. He was a free roaming character and it’s possible I just wasn’t in the right place at the right time. Keep an eye out in Avengers Campus. That’s where I saw him last year.

@@Jackeeet No costumes for 14 and up in the regular theme park on regular days that aren’t OBB. Costumes are allowed for OBB and other after hours events like Star Wars. Also, no masks that fully cover the face for anyone over 14, even on after hours event days.
Are you able to do villains grove during the parades and would the line be shorter? Was thinking we would watch the first parade & then do villains grove during the second parade..
Yes. You can, if you don’t care about the parades, the first parade is going to attract the most people. That’s when I would recommend doing it. By the second parade, a lot of people have left already. The lines for everything are pretty empty. If it’s just about going when there fewest people are there, then later is better, though. 30 minutes before park close it should be virtually a “walk on”

I realize this video is older, so not sure you'll see this. I understand last year there was a dessert party for the parade. Does that mean there isn't a dessert party for WoC? Specifically someone in a group I'm in is asking about booking WoC Dessert Party for a non-OBB day, but the bookings seem to just stop after Sept 8, and CMs haven't been clear why, or if these might be posted later.
Oogie Boogie starts on August 25th, so OBB isn't the reason they aren't appearing. It's actually fairly typical for Disney not to have reservations up when they should be there. More will appear eventually. When is anybody's guess, unfortunately. Which makes it really hard to plan when to grab them. But this is very typical of them. This issue never happens at WDW, so I don't know why it's such a problem here.
@@SoCalDisneyDad thanks! I pointed out that the dessert party did carry on in August after OBB started, so that was a hopeful sign they just needed to wait it out. I recently went through a similar waiting game for the parade dining package but it just seemed to. Be not offered after middle of July for no reason I could see, so I felt for them. Thanks again for all your “on the ground” insight and expertise. I just pushed back my trip from Aug to Feb so going back to watch your videos from that time last year and now have 7 more months to keep watching and planning!

It is a bummer to see it on the calendar, but I still haven’t seen or heard anything about it. But if it’s on the calendar now, then it’s a thing.

None of the villains are actually IN the villains grove. It’s just areas themed toward certain villains.
