😂 Yes! Unfortunately, Hawaii isn’t in the cards for us next year. But we do have a different Disney trip to plan. And I’m excited for my family to enjoy Tron and Cosmic Rewind. So still something to look forward to.
Disney blues! Yes! Every time I hear Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride, I think of the Stitch section of Mickeys Magical Map, and the streamers and the kids all having fun. And think yeah wasn't a Broadway caliber show, but dang it was fun. Sniff....
Hawaiian Rollercoaster is a huge trigger for me. 🤣 They played that so many times at the different touristy places we went when we were there that now it’s synonymous in my brain with those activities.
Your videos really helped us in planning our Disney and Universal trip and to have as much fun as we could while we were there! Our kids saw you on the day of this video outside the Lion King theatre and they were pretty excited that your family waved back at us!
I’m pretty sure the House Gumbo is mixed in. It didn’t come with a side or anything. My sandwich has a side of red beans and rice. But the Gumbo was definitely all one dish with rice mixed in. It’s the best thing on their menu for sure.
Big time Disney blues. As soon as I was driving back to San Diego. I already wanted to make a U turn and go back. I love the smell of Small World during the Hawaii part. My favorite. Thank goodness that I have your channel to watch, so I won't be so sad. It looked really busy. I want to go on an off-season. Good old-fashioned Disneyland vacation. No holiday.
January is an excellent time for lower crowds at Disney. February is decent too. But Lunar New Year Festival can be busier so beginning of Jan and end of Feb are better.
Too funny that you mentioned the Disney blues. I’m sitting here watching your video with a prolonged case of the Disney blues! My son and I just got back from a week at Disneyland & DCA, and seeing these videos on my TH-cam makes my heart ache. Our last night at Disneyland, as we left the park, the theme song from Up played and my boy and I took one final look, held hands, and cried a little as we said goodbye. That Disney magic sticks with you! ❤️
That’s too cute (and sad, but also cute). It really does stick with you. You are braver than I, as I can’t even watch anything with Aulani in it. 😂 It’s like “nope, nope. Turn it off! Can’t watch!”
@@SoCalDisneyDad I’ve definitely been avoiding them for the most part. My kiddo can’t handle them AT ALL! Lol. But we watched so many Disneyland videos before our trip that my entire algorithm is Disney now. This was actually the first video I’ve watched since coming back, and you’re talking about the blues. It’s like it was meant for me. ☺️
I been there for Christmas time decorations and in January, spring and summer. But I haven't been there in Halloween time decorations. Can't wait to see it next year in October. 🎃👻🍁🍂🌻
I didn't have a chance to come up and say hi, but I did see you go into Winnie the Pooh on the Sunday of this video as we were going through the short line. This was my 4 yr old daughter's first trip to Disney parks and we all had a blast! Thanks so much for your videos! They sure helped in our planning!
yes the first time I went to Disneyland it was so fun. and then I left I felt so boared . because since like 4 months before we went the only thing I would watch was disneyvideos. so coming back was like 😥sad. I want to go back sooooooo bad to Disney
This is probably the amount of crowd I'm looking at for Sep 19-21st in 2024, I'm guessing. 😬 We originally planned that time because we thought it would be lower. But we have Park Hopper, so maybe we'll spend the Thursdays afternoon at DCA. We want to come into disneyland the first time, though, since my kida and husband have never been before.
Thank you so much for this video! Can you tell us if the rice that accompanied the kid's meal- drumstick and rice - seasoned any way? Or was it just unseasoned plain white rice?
how does this sound to maximize our trip on what we are expectring to be a busy day? Rope drop: Mansion, then Pirates and Star Tours.. we have genie plus so not too worried.. but i think Mansion will be a long line all day
Thanks for all the videos on Disneyland and DCA! We are finally able to take a family vacation this year and chose to surprise our 3 kids with a trip during Fall Break. We are a blended family so getting all 3 at the same time for a week is rare. These videos really help me to maximize what time we have. Plus this is the kids first time in either park. Blessings on you and your family 😊
I am jealous of how often they get to go. No more Magic keys, at all. As Oggie would say BOOO to that. And Yaay for Amy and Disney dad for taking us along. I appreciate that they don't get too caught up in the stuff that is too expensive and just stick to the worth while goodies, like single rider.
The Disney blues are very real! My husband and I went to Disneyland/DCA about a month ago for our honeymoon and we are STILL missing it! Thank you so much for your videos! They helped us ALOT for planning our trip and we're now living vicariously through your videos with you all, now that we're home. We want to go back so badly! LOL
Hey there! I am going to visit Disneyland Resort in October for one day. Since my friend and I are planning on getting there via Uber, I was wondering what exact address should we use to be as close to the park entrance as possible?
Search for Harbor Boulevard Guest Drop-Off in your mobile app. There’s a spot specifically for it. I mean, most Ubers who regularly do the run should be aware of where the drop off is. But the actual address listed is 1569 S Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim. However, it you type that address in directly, the dropped pin is a little further north. But it’s the general area. Close enough.
It's been a long time since you did a video on San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and SeaWorld San Diego. When are you going to do these videos?
Just went to DL in August and I’m saving to go again ASAP! I’m curious to know how much it would cost an average family of 5 to go to Aulani? Are there more/less expensive times to go?
A bit less expensive than Disney World for us. But still 😳 If you ONLY do Aulani, you can get away with some lower costs than a full Hawaii vacation, but it’s still going to be costly because most Aulani rooms only fit 4. So to have one large enough for 5 means 1 Bedroom villas at like $900/night. So 4 nights, plus resort fees, is going to be $4,000 easily. Plus flights. If you stay somewhere else for 3 nights like we did, there’s another $1,000 minimum. Plus rental car around $600 for a week if you plan to visit a lot of places. And the food is what gets you. The food is crazy expensive there. Every single meal at Aulani, quick service or not, cost us about $80-$120. And the really fancy ones, like Makahiki, cost $200+ for a single meal. But when I just priced out Disney World for next year, it’s going to run us $10,000. So Hawaii is cheaper. Might have to revisit how often we go to WDW and make more trips to Hawaii.
Mobile orders are great because you can browse the food selections and order while you’re waiting in line for a ride. Less wasted time standing in line at the restaurant trying to figure out what to eat. When your window is up, just click “I’m here.” I usually do this while I’m walking over there before I actually get there. If you’ve ordered a few meals, it’ll take them about 5-7 minutes to get everything prepared. If you order just a drink or a simple dessert, those are available within seconds of you clicking “I’m here” on occasion, so you really want to be there already in those instances.
I totally get the disney blues!! We try to go to wdw from the uk every 2 years or so. In the lead up i watch disney vlogs every single day to plan, but after it's about 6 months before i can watch anything disney again without wanting to cry 😢 i am planning a west coast trip for next year, but still can't watch wdw vlogs because i don't know when I'm going back and it makes me so sad

Very excited to come out in early November. My boys are just barely 4 and 5 when we are there. My wife and I love watching you guys as you remind us of us. Where would you recommend starting for getting littles acclimated well while also making good use of our time? Would you ever recommend rope dropping Toon Town?
Fantasyland is the best place to rope drop for them in my opinion. You can get all 12 rides done in 2 hours roughly. 3 if you take it a little slower than us. 😂 We do tend to zip around.
I have! It’s an old video, and a lot has changed. But you can check this out for expected crowd levels. Might be a little higher than this given that this was when masks were still required indoors. We did Halloween last year and it was a fantastic morning at Disneyland. We didn't have Genie+ and we got all of Fantastyland, Big Thunder, Indy, and both Star Wars rides done before noon. The afternoon started to get a bit crowded, and once DCA closed it got very crowded. I think it's a great day to do Disneyland if you rope drop and plan on leaving early.
I’m in the park once a week. I generally film three videos at once. So they stagger throughout the week, but are all filmed during a single visit. San Diego is a bit of a drive, but it’s not too bad. I know when to leave to avoid traffic and it’s really just a distance thing at that point. I pop an audiobook on in the car if I’m driving solo and it passes the time.
I'm a fan from Hawaii. Thank you for making Disney videos!!❤
The cure for the Disney blues is to start planning another Disney trip. 😊

Fyi guys. Gumbo can be eaten anyway you choose but if you want the best bite. Mix the rice into the soup. That is the proper way

Is it owl-laa-nee or aa-laa-nee? I always thought it was aa-laa-nee.
It’s the first one. If you separate the syllables. Au is pronounced the same way you’d say the au in “Maui”.
