The recent powercreep of Reposition is what killed the game for me. Older units require tons of resources to even be playable, and the new ones only last a month or so before a counter is released. It's such a shame that my first ever Fire Emblem game simply isn't fun for me anymore.
My luck on FEH seems to be on a monthly rotation, 2 banners I’ll get the character I want within 10 summons, then the next month I’ll have to go to 40/40 on every banner for a single 5* XD, skill descriptions are insane and if your characters aren’t kitted out with the best skills you don’t stand a chance against the newest units. I’ve been building Duo Palla since she came out, and while I’ve made the best possible build for her, she still falls short of someone like Brave Felix or Emlem Sigurd who just destroy the entire game by being on the map. Fun game if you don’t take it seriously tho
I stopped playing for a few years, came back when they added standard Severa, got her by grinding out the story missions, and then stopped playing again
@@Lightspeeds that's honestly super fair. And you should know that is a huge part of it. I can give you the world building, lore, and other narrative elements. But honestly story wise I feel the game hooks you in the first chapter. Also it's an anniversary celebration right now so it's a good time to try it since there's plenty of free stuff
To be fair, if you manage resources properly and do play every day, you do get about 300 orbs a month as a F2P. With proper management and saving, thats more than enough to summon 40 times to spark a free 5 star and still have some leftover to save for a fave character getting a seasonal outfit or the rarer Legendary/Mythic/Emblem heroes with gacha luck. From a casual standpoint, I completely understand though because if you log on once, twice a week maybe and dont do special events, the game doesn't give you jack. It's fairer than some other gachas but the time investment can be brutal. much less learning what units thesis statements do.
Day 1 player and it is weird looking back on it. I still play on and off, but I remember the day the game came out was a few days before my friend's first kid was born. Now I look back and wow how much time has passed. I still haven't 5 star my Reinhardt yet.
Most free-to-play players get 300 orbs a month, enough to spark on 2 banners. Complaining about the spark system? That's one of the best features of the game. I clear everything with Book 3 units. With auto-battle most of the time. You're obviously not building your units properly. Colors on banners reduces the randomness as you get more choice. Not having the color you want is just ripping the band-aid off early instead of finding out you couldn't get what you wanted after wasting 20 orbs on the entire circle.
I play it daily since launch. And What I mean by play is: log-in presents -> pick up check if there's TTs, story and/or Seer's snare check if there's a new Plumeria Close app.
I started this game last year during the Legendary Female Alear banner when I got a new phone. And honestly? With some exceptions, this game is really fun. My orb stash managed to recoup about 60 orbs in 10 days as an F2P player. My Marths have everything they want, even if it meant it took a long time to reach it. Plus I love watching the FEHtubers have to explain everything to us, it's funny and a little sad, but it's entertaining. FEH is ironically the way I relax in the evening. Plus Emblem Marth is the prettiest boy I have ever seen, I love logging in just to see him--
0:29 the first time i fell off for some time was due to L!Azura, sparking was not a thing yet and the game decided i should still not get her after using way too many orbs. And i got barely 5* at all which is super rare with a bigger amound of orbs I did pick it up later tho, and now play more casual. With summoning purely going after the sparks to get less burned by bad RNG I do take breaks sometimes, but always follow Heroes, i find it interesting to follow the effects, new heroes, and their art love the art in general
I feel the exact same way but with Bleach Brave Souls instead, and that game came out in 2016. I stopped playing 2 years ago and never looked back, it's fine to let it go you know.
I’m a day one player as well but ever since maybe 2022 I’ve been a log in every day to collect my bonuses to summon for units I like once every few months or so. If I get the units, continue the cycle if I don’t, grind up orbs with the massive content backlog I have. It’s worked pretty well for me but I’ve all but given up on the actual gameplay of the game because it’s gotten 1: so powercrept and 2: complex for a casual like me.
As someone who has played literally since launch - I have the right to say; FEH is an outdated gacha with addictive gameplay (cause I like fire emblem and I play yugioh so I am insane enough to digest walls of text lol). Intsys could have let this game last MUCH longer with people, but they hastened powercreep and complexity creep far too quickly. ON TOP of having just about the most unintuitive UI design in some areas. I understand that maybe they wanted to even the playing field between casuals and the uber whale cash cows by taking away the need for merges by making units more powerful right out the gate; but it still isn't enough. A lot of these things genuinely make me wonder what in the world is wrong with the people who spend so much money on a game that loves to invalidate their whale meta units within the span of not even 2 months. Can't even remember how long Lucia lasted in the meta, and I immediately began seeing max merges of her post-banner. Currently we are in a gamestate where a lot of units are relevant in the meta, but ONLY if you have those units. So you don't necessarily need to whale anymore, but we aren't playing FEH sorely for the meta. It's hard as balls to save orbs these days, and truthfully - this game is untennable without FEH pass. Intsys doesn't want you to spend orbs on Arcanes, weapons (you can give to anyone) that they definitely CAN make meta relevant, but choose not to. And they also choose not to release them frequently enough. They are totally content with milking high spenders who either aren't intelligent enough to withhold their funds, or those with a gambling problem - pocketing the money instead of putting more resources into making the game ACTUALLY better.
I had a phase of playing this game for a few months, but I fell off of it relatively quickly. Basically whenever I played it I just kinda wished I was playing a different FE with better combat, and I was never really tempted to buy anything to get the funny JPEGs. For the amount that that I played, though, I do remember it somewhat fondly. It was a cool way to translate one of my favorite series over to a phone for a much larger, more casual audience.
this game isn't about the combat, it's about team building and strategy, it is daunting for new players and those who haven't played in a while though because the game moves QUICK
I did over 40 summons on the Halloween banner this year for Halloween nah and since I didn’t have feh pass I couldn’t even get them on the free summons
Used to have Dancer Inigo before I lost my phone. He was the unit I grinded the most for by far but after I logged into my FEH account with my new phone I didn't have him anymore for some reason. I almost quit after that but got into it again with Halloween Xane but fell out of it when he stopped working against the Meta
I was basically pushed out because of saving for favourites and powercreep slamming them down the road. My RNG god was in a monthly banner that gave me multiple LEdelgard, Nagi, and along with some others who I liked to build to +10 max DF over the years. Had this core of 2 teams to play in arena but after awhile I couldn't keep up with all the status effect nonsense and wiki texts for skills in all game modes, then just moved onto other games. Was fun but man I'm glad I moved on.
dude i never played a fire emblem game just the gacha and liked it so much but after some time it became just a task to play it and the powercreep my god, the point when i had to use guides and specific characters or i cant beat the stage was when i quit played for like 3 years, now i just play nikke too lmao waiting for gf2.
Yeah, most of these issues were what caused me to go from casual dolphin in the game to casual f2p. I would still say Feh is one of the better gatcha's I've played, as if you play all of the side events in a month, you should have enough to spark at least once, all banners are free to start, and the game is still decently customizable. What I'd consider bad would be games like Pokemon Masters and SMT DX2 with every banner being pay gated - in the former's case, to the point where half the roll menu is taken up by having the same banner in both a f2p version and pay requirement version -, everything having an exclusive skill, and everything have a steep cost, such as the 102 pulls to get spark in masters or the requirement to buy currency to complete the download banner of DX2 before it ends
I once got 3 5-Star Summer Caspars in a row, which i really didnt want to begin with. And ever since that day, I feel like the game scammed me out of my luck
God, it's unbelievable how hard this game fell cuz of this year alone. Jesus, the power crept is so bad that you literally have no choice but to get the latest meta characters in order to keep up with the game now. I also want to point out that the community absolutely sucks ass. It's the usual crap you got to with when it comes to a community but Christ there are way too many people that are either pointing out the obvious & complaining on a daily basis about been already established for weeks or a die-hard gacha whale apologists. There's never ever anything in between when it comes to that god-forsaken community.
I remembered that fallen banner is the most rigged of all banners due to be called a “evil banner” and I got Nergal, Fallen Ursala and fallen Lumera right off the bat from my first pull and had to spark for fallen Veyle, it was my first time that I’ve acquired all 4 fallen unit before this banner expires even once, this banner was nice to me for some reasons and I’m F2P too because I don’t have a credit card so….
I used to play since launch but quit a month after Walhart's refine came out since he got powercrept... FeH foes not reward long term investment due to power cre- I mean power sprint. Walhart is my favorite FE villain so I was upset at how quickly he fell out of the meta. About a year ago I tried to get back into the game and my maxxed out blue mage with 85 attack lost to a sword user with 20 resistance. Worst part was after the fight the enemy ended up gaining health so the rest of my team just couldnt deal with it due to how crazy effect stacking is now on top of just having higher stats compared to old units.
I played until the time snake mommy showed up. The power creep situation was unbearable to the point Fallen Edelgard, who had managed to effectively calm it down by standing at the top, was either mediocre or trash. Ironically (due to Elegg being shown in the video), I now play only Nikke on mobile, because holy hell the story is something else. One second Ram, you stopped playing Nikke before the 2nd Anniversary?!
They keep dropping Hent esk outfits to keep you in. They give out like 2-5 orbs daily, all I do is do the event, do the mission then log off. Takes like maybe 2-5 min every day then save over time
Well as of late the supports usually defines who wins really I mean sure you still need heavy hitters but the supports nowadays is pretty good longevity, not perfect I'd say but it's way better than around Brave Seliph era tbh where supports tend to fade quite quickly hoping the longevity of the characters get better without foddering way too much premium characters
I played this game for a month and then stopped. Mainly, because I was annoyed at having to turn this thing on daily just to waste time that I could invest into better gamres. Like Harvestella. And Trails. In my own time and when I feel like it. I do not like gacha games in general.
A buddy of mine who plays casually asked why I struggle ti understand fe heroes units. I said I didnt need to know what they did. The bigger their text box is the stronger they are lol
Uh oh. Another future Girls Frontline 2 player... Yeah I had a similar experience with FEH, but you lasted much longer than I did lol. I've talked with a lot of friends and they also said that FEH was their gateway into gacha games. Really crazy how it got so many of us.
Been playing since Day 1, barely opened Genshin last year and I play more than Fire emblem…it’s kinda sad to me but in all honestly…I’m kinda burnt out.
You know I thought Brave Seliph was insane (still relatively is not complaining bout that) and then after a few months hiatus I get one shot by Brave Alfonse… like what?! What happened to the Weapon triangle? Why is Shamir a person who I thought was broken in the past not allowed to do damage on someone despite having triangle advantage, null follow up, works well in solo, do 0 damage??? The power creep is just insane as I’ve been an on and off player for since Book ii. All things considered FEH is the only gatcha game I play, and my RNG is really lucky, but it just seems to get harder and harder for me to keep up with it as my on and off schedule has me playing religiously for 2 weeks then I stop for like 3 months
9:09 "Why are these fairies so evil?" Hahaha! 😆 Wrong character on display. Not an evil fairy. But you're still right. There are evil fairies. And evil gods. Seriously, these gods need to see doctors to manage their stress levels. They keep falling from grace due to despair. And as for the lore, it doesn't make sense anymore. All these gods giving the heroes a hard time, nearly killing them at every other encounter... Dude, you can summon versions of Gullveig from other worlds, and they're not against you like the 1st one. The one entity that has massacred the entire universe for who knows how many times! All these gods in new chapters, she defeated them all before at the peak of her power before. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to reach the point where the universe gets reset so she can end it again. I'm baffled that they're not simply letting Gullveig tag along on every new chapter so she can solve their problems.
RamZ I feel your pain being a shill. Female Byleth is my favorite character so I literally horde all of my orbs for her. She's only got 6 versions atm. But that is a lot compared to other characters. I literally just login everyday. And let the story get far enough until she gets something new. Then I whale XD
I quit years ago bc I was sick of a new powercreep skill coming out every 3 weeks. it became impossible to keep up with, especially if you built for ANY PVP mode without buying shit. I never got far in aether raids bc I never pulled on those mythical characters or whatever the fuck they are since they seemed like a requirement for score, but I enjoyed the other modes for a while and got pretty far in arena, and was proud of my first and only 5* exclusive (at the time) 10+ Brave Ike. But eventually the new modes and reworks to some other stuff and even PVE all had to match the current situation of powercreep, meaning a unit I made only six months ago was now not able to pull their weight. If highly sought after resources that only come from a single seasonal unit are made worthless not even a year after they're introduced, what's the point of building something in the first place? Older units get buffed once via weapon refines and then if the refine ages poorly well fucking sucks to be them! And some units don't even get that at all! Instead of giving refines to literally the weakest refresh and staff units in the game, they look at the calendar and go "oh shit Brave edelgard is now a year old time for her makeover session". BST has been ever increasing. Dragonflowers are designed to mitigate this but they literally don't in many comp modes since dragonflowers don't add to the BST score. Meaning in arena, you can have steroided Gen 2 units you've built from when they first came out, but they'll never see battles against teams with the latest banner feature unless the rest of the team are ranged cavs and said newest banner star has 0 merges and unique skill not equipped or something. I have a friend still stuck in feh hell bc they're obsessed with Chrom and unfortunately Chrom features in a lot of alts now. They send me screenshots of each new unit with some ridiculously OP skill and the explanation is an entire essay plus describing how a bonus works twice bc Feh refuses to make a terms glossary. Every single time I'm like "we gotta put this game down like t's a sick cat."
i think the closure of pocket camp is a hopeful sign that feh will follow soon. seeing the newest units and powercreep compared to all the other times ive come back to play since launch is just absolutely insane atp. the game just needs to die.
fwiw azura actually is a really sollid unit typically, her special dance giving an extra space of movement is *really* good feh powercreep is completely out of hand though yeah. i've been analyzing every skill now for years, and it's just not even worth it at this point lmao. esp with the rate it's been going at- like, the completely unkillable byleth they added last christmas got directly countered by the new camilla two weeks after, and then outright powercrept by the new Myrrh alt (and ike after that) and they just keep scaling it
You didn't even give Attuned Azura all her base skills? You didn't change Masked Azura's C skill from DRIVE RES TWO?? People can't be this dumb, right...???
I was about to quit after playing the game from day 1, and most of my favorite heroes are +10 units, including getting my Lucina alts.... Until ninja Lucina showed up 😂
Yea I was able to quit for good a while ago. Looking back I'm not sure how its still around making money since it doesn't really capitalize on any of the things people like about the main series (gameplay is too basic, no real character interactions and the story ranges from bad to meh) while I've seen other gacha games be able to do them. Even weirder it seems to try and focus on semi-pvp modes (which historically doesn't really work in FE or gacha games). The arts nice though.
I have been playing FEH since launch and I understand some of your gripes with the game, but ultimately you have to play it because you like it. The thing about skipping the story and criticizing it because you didn't pay attention isn't the game's fault it is yours, also about [not having make your own team] -- you can do that and still play the maps. Some things I get and some I don't. Yeah, it would be nice to get some new animations, and at least new pictures for the story mode, since the average is turning into dance numbers and full animation. I was as frustrated as you a few years back. What pushed me to consider quitting was the match making coding. Like you I play with characters I favor, which is mostly from gen 1, so I don't chase meta. At one time, for one team I could compete against, there were five I literally couldn't touch (I am talking about hyper whales-- plus ten of that month's seasonal banner is the whole team type of whales). I had to come to a decision to why I was playing it. Was I playing it to place top rank or because I love the fantasy influence of Fire Emblem? The reason why I play is because I love Fire Emblem, and the gameplay (even with the power-creep) allows me to destress after a long day at work. You have to find your reason and not chase what is popular. We extend our happiness unto these fantastic influences; these influences don't make us happy.
Feh is shit af but i cant stop casually playing until last week when i found wizardry variants daphne god tier immersive gacha game with permadeath, the dark soul of mobile game
Man literally described my experience with the game, except I was pulling for all the cool beast/dragon units and final boss characters instead of waifus.

Welcome back you beautiful man!
I'm glad you rebranded back to the old brand.
Holy shit oomf.
Day 1 player and it is weird looking back on it. I still play on and off, but I remember the day the game came out was a few days before my friend's first kid was born. Now I look back and wow how much time has passed. I still haven't 5 star my Reinhardt yet.
7 years already? Played that when it came out. Just realized I'm mortal...
Hioly shit Ramzeas isn't dead and i still can't remember which comes first in his name a or e
love you ram.
FEH was so fun and addicting back when it was simple but now it feels more complicated than actually playing fire emblem 😂
I play it daily since launch. And What I mean by play is:
log-in
presents -> pick up
check if there's TTs, story and/or Seer's snare
check if there's a new Plumeria
Close app.
Day 1 player, I'm still there, I'm almost F2P, I pay the pass because I need to repeat turns, lol, I'm happy.
It's Friday and that means only one thing it's time for ramzaes goodness
I started this game last year during the Legendary Female Alear banner when I got a new phone. And honestly? With some exceptions, this game is really fun.
My orb stash managed to recoup about 60 orbs in 10 days as an F2P player. My Marths have everything they want, even if it meant it took a long time to reach it. Plus I love watching the FEHtubers have to explain everything to us, it's funny and a little sad, but it's entertaining. FEH is ironically the way I relax in the evening.
Plus Emblem Marth is the prettiest boy I have ever seen, I love logging in just to see him--
4:14 Are you sure about that 0__0
Not even ninja Tharja can bring me back 🥲 she almost did tho
The Weeb King returns!!! Keep up the enthusiasm bro!!!
Man makes me feel old still play but I can understand the burnout
0:29 the first time i fell off for some time was due to L!Azura, sparking was not a thing yet and the game decided i should still not get her after using way too many orbs. And i got barely 5* at all which is super rare with a bigger amound of orbs
I did pick it up later tho, and now play more casual. With summoning purely going after the sparks to get less burned by bad RNG
I do take breaks sometimes, but always follow Heroes, i find it interesting to follow the effects, new heroes, and their art love the art in general
DRAGALIA LOST REFERENCE IN A RAMZAES VIDEO LETS GOOOOO!!!!!!!
I almost quit after that but got into it again with Halloween Xane but fell out of it when he stopped working against the Meta
welcome back captain
I was basically pushed out because of saving for favourites and powercreep slamming them down the road. My RNG god was in a monthly banner that gave me multiple LEdelgard, Nagi, and along with some others who I liked to build to +10 max DF over the years. Had this core of 2 teams to play in arena but after awhile I couldn't keep up with all the status effect nonsense and wiki texts for skills in all game modes, then just moved onto other games. Was fun but man I'm glad I moved on.
1:18 “simplified” I don’t think it can be considered simplified when a new units weapon and skills descriptions are the length of the great Gatsby
Glad to find another Azurabro!
dude i never played a fire emblem game just the gacha and liked it so much but after some time it became just a task to play it and the powercreep my god, the point when i had to use guides and specific characters or i cant beat the stage was when i quit played for like 3 years, now i just play nikke too lmao waiting for gf2.
With the story missions, you could say you were lost in thoughts all alone
Your quitting experience was exactly the same as mine this fall. Then marianne and lucina got alts 😢
Eyyy, Nikke mentioned!
3:38 yugioh card effects be like
I played until the time snake mommy showed up. The power creep situation was unbearable to the point Fallen Edelgard, who had managed to effectively calm it down by standing at the top, was either mediocre or trash. Ironically (due to Elegg being shown in the video), I now play only Nikke on mobile, because holy hell the story is something else.
One second Ram, you stopped playing Nikke before the 2nd Anniversary?!
the mind of a gachta addict is a fascinating, and frightening thing to behold.
ironwill power struggling against the continuous copium intake is wild
i quit the game a couple years ago exactly because of these reasons and how absurd the power creep was getting.
I've been casual from day 1. Still play it.
Based using lonely puppeteer music it's such peak music.
Also I'd argue feh is very generous with orbs for f2p players compared to other gacha games.
Been playing since Day 1, barely opened Genshin last year and I play more than Fire emblem…it’s kinda sad to me but in all honestly…I’m kinda burnt out.
Attunded azura is one of the best dancers in the game
9:09 "Why are these fairies so evil?"
Hahaha!
The Yu-gi-oh of gacha games as I call it.
RamZ I feel your pain being a shill. Female Byleth is my favorite character so I literally horde all of my orbs for her. She's only got 6 versions atm. But that is a lot compared to other characters. I literally just login everyday. And let the story get far enough until she gets something new. Then I whale XD
I've noticed that you used Arknights music at 4:40 have you tried that game?
This is a commentary to let RamZaes know that limbus company is a gacha game that exist, better than any other.
Auntie Nerthuz in the thumbnail 🥰
Freyja4CyL btw
i think the closure of pocket camp is a hopeful sign that feh will follow soon. seeing the newest units and powercreep compared to all the other times ive come back to play since launch is just absolutely insane atp. the game just needs to die.
fwiw azura actually is a really sollid unit typically, her special dance giving an extra space of movement is *really* good
feh powercreep is completely out of hand though yeah. i've been analyzing every skill now for years, and it's just not even worth it at this point lmao. esp with the rate it's been going at- like, the completely unkillable byleth they added last christmas got directly countered by the new camilla two weeks after, and then outright powercrept by the new Myrrh alt (and ike after that) and they just keep scaling it
You didn't even give Attuned Azura all her base skills?
You didn't change Masked Azura's C skill from DRIVE RES TWO??
People can't be this dumb, right...???
Dragalia lost was amazing
Bro is also brainrotted by Burnice's song
He like me fr
I've been done playing feh for months now
Can you believe Marcus still isn’t in the game
I was about to quit after playing the game from day 1, and most of my favorite heroes are +10 units, including getting my Lucina alts....
Until ninja Lucina showed up 😂
man i remember when i played it on release. i was so excited for it. it was so simple.
So essentially, RamZae hates gachas partially because he's broke, but mostly because he can't read
I only played when they released olivia and micaiah
Try blue archive, the story and music is master piece
I can tell you why I was playing this damn game. Because... I AM SUFFERING FIRE EMBLEM WITHDRAWAL! I JUST WANT A NEW FIRE EMBLEM, NO NOT THE SUS ONES.
I had such a love/hate relationship with this game over the years. I "quit" this year too, now if only I could get all my money back :')
brave felix broke the game because he can move 3 times on his turn before you dance on him. there.
A fellow Lostie?
Feh is shit af but i cant stop casually playing until last week when i found wizardry variants daphne god tier immersive gacha game with permadeath, the dark soul of mobile game
Fastest click in my life
I come back every so often but i truly fell off at the feh pass
I only play Fire Emblem Heroes for the story 😆
hop on limbus company trust
Man literally described my experience with the game, except I was pulling for all the cool beast/dragon units and final boss characters instead of waifus.
There's so many gacha games I will never play because of its gacha system. I will never play a game unless it has a reachable pity for a F2P player.
