Hendrick Motorsports announced it won't appeal the penalty for Bowman's No. 48 being too light after the Charlotte ROVAL. It's a crushing blow for Bowman, who was one of the best drivers through the first two rounds of the playoffs. After speaking out against rumors he could be on the way out at Hendrick, Bowman proved he could be a legitimate title contender. It sucks as a Bowman fan every year in these playoffs because there's always something out of Bowman's control that gets him eliminated. 2022 gets a concussion because Nascar made the cars too unsafe, 2023 was leading the points and got a back injury that made him miss the playoffs and go winless, then this year gets screwed over because Nascar made those dang turtles behind the curbing too high and it lowered the weight in his car. I'm hoping and praying next year goes better.
