Sheeeesh, as an East coaster the biggest mtn I’ve skied by far is Tremblant and only twice…this, apparently steepest lift in the country, not having a bar is wild to to me lol

Unfortunately, it's the last lift without safety bars at Stevens, Vail Resorts decimated the others (old Brooks, old Daisy, old Kehr's, Double Diamond/Southern Cross, and Tye Mill). Best advice, just hang on the center pole and don't fall off. The ride's only 2 minutes, so it's not like you're in danger for a long time.

You made it down hehe. Not terribly pretty, but definitely not enough snow on it yet either.
Work on chaining your turns up more to keep fluid. Right now each turn is becoming a stop. Avoid pulling your shoulder. Point 'em down ❤.

It is always fun to ski a slope where you can stand straight up, stick your arm straight out (90 degree angle from your body), and touch the slope. We used to do that back in the 1980's. Has not changed much!!!

There is nothing more ungainly looking than the combination of a snowboarder and a chairlift.
That's a short lift with an insane ride, seemingly straight up, and a single span. With no less than a 5 tower breakover.

It was never open when I went. Even lousier now with new management and 60% of the resort closed.

Much better when it’s filled in a little more and some fresh wouldn’t hurt

What’s up with the sheaveless tower 3?

      ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Extra support, I suppose. I really don't know, it's just there.

    That insane break over though!

And it's steeper in real life than it looks on camera. The span bounces a lot when the lift stops; so far, I've not had to experience that.

After fall on this slope (1998 during very icy condition) I am always using a helmet.
