The Chinese have pulse diagnosis as part of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). I am curious to know which came first and if there is any difference in the methods?
pelawren - references of pulse diagnosis can be found in the ancient Tibetan texts of a monk from the South who travelled to Tibet and China. He taught them what is today TCM and the Tibetan medicine. His name in the Southern part of India is Boganathar and in China was called Lao Tsu. He was from the Siddha System of Medicine which is practiced in Tamilnadu even to this day.

Once I'm graduated, I might go further to complete my ability to practice in India. There's one thing I'd like to know, this will sound weird maybe, but meri Pita hindi hai (he is, that's right), do you see any link between the father and the dosha (meri Pita Pitta hai) !! hahaha Anyway, Thanks a lot for explaining and showing the exact position of the fingers! Namaste! Nadi Pariksha can be learnt well when you have the dedication and put in hours of practice in seeing clients. Yes! It does take years and not because it is difficult! It's because, that's the time it takes for you to experience so many different variations. For example; After 10 years of practice, while I was seeing a client one day, he experienced Ischemia (sudden drop of blood supply to the heart) and I was feeling his pulse at that time. How many people do you think would have the know of how the pulse feels when a person feels Ischemia! Good to know that aapka pita Bharateeya hain.

@@sakshis.5323 if Nadi Pariksha is your research topic, I suggest you get an experience of being the subject or the practitioner. Regarding books, they don’t do justice to the science which can only be experienced and not described.
Nadi Pariksha helps us understand the Prakrti (Constitution of the person) and also what the mother was experiencing during her pregnancy with the person, which becomes the traits with which the person is born. Furthermore, we can find the manas vrittis (emotional and psychological patterns) necessary to ascertain the root cause of illnesses. The machine cannot deduce these. The machine can find the vikrti, or the altered body type at the surface, which cannot complete a complete diagnosis. With traditional Nadi Pariksha, we can diagnose and evaluate the health conditions of organs, tissues, systemic processes and more.

First put yr fingertips on redial artery gently and listen yr heartbeats so that all thoughts in yr mind will stop then listen yr pulse with closed eyes. Best of Luck
