- Ah yes, admin events. We had to spice things up a bit to start the war, so it won't end up a greenshift. Also glad we didn't have kudzu, it's impossible to fight against. Imo Tram station is bad choice for Nations gamemode, it was fun noneless. Thanks Gwyn.

-Four madmen with high quality guns.
-Sixty madmen with crappy guns, good guns, flamethrowers, poison, bombs, fire, more fire, z0rg, large blunt objects, the ability to respawn and a Mime.

Never played SS13 before myself, but from watching copious amounts of footage from others who _do_ play it I’ve come to the following conclusions:
1. Never piss off Botany.
2. Never piss off Science.
3. Gods most often take the form of Mimes and Clowns.
You really dont wanna piss off any whole department. Can you imagine the pandemonium that a few determined engineers with their toolbelts could wreak on the station?

Botany is weird because its either going to have the strongest smurfs or the weakest newbies and nothing in between.
for some reason every time nations happens engi tries to turn into flypeople, hence "ceaze thiz azzault"
It’s always stuff like this that’s gonna keep me coming back for more
to be fair with kudzu, if you know how to cull it for mutations in a non tray environment. it can also be beneficial to the crew and station at large.
since a few mutations affect atmos and can scrub out any gasses, or add in gasses to make it harder to burn shit down.
eg kudzu that eats away all plasma, possibly oxygen if you got smokes healmix with space tabaco trait for subatol.
and toss in fire proof trait + temperature stabilization and some timid so it doesnt make stuff hard to access, and you got a solid anti burn kudzu that is very beneficial.
makes a plant with mannitol mix base, pea's for 5% water > laughin' peas for 5% sugar, and grass for the hydrogen, this is more then enough to cover gaia's earthbloods potential for brain damage.
toss in the subatol to ignore oxygen needs, and whatever other low od dose healing chem you can get, avoid omni due high od risk. and you got some amazing smokes.
also there is nothing stopping you from also adding this onto the killer tomatoes, to give them the same heal chem treatment.
or go for a mix that is more deadly with liquid contents + gaseous, and some rng blessed toxins.
if you instability farm you can basically run any normal chem that isnt outright admin level drugs, or very restrictive used blacklisted chem in general.
turn the other crew into ash lizards, plasmamen or flymen, if you get the toxins rng going with instability farming. obviously such toxins should not be used gassous due friendly fire.
gassous is magical, it makes chems that are single reaction category like ingest only, a omni category instead. so its ingest, inject, vapor, touch and patch to force chem to work.
be very careful of when to start using this trait.
xenobiology if given time can be conventional top department in terms of power, however a botanist who keep themself bussy and fight rng with time and skill.
yea it will make xenobiology endgame look like shit with the funny chems you can highroll.
this comes from a botanist who once used botany, and a shower room with a few rnd boards to turn plants into slime infecting advanced mutation toxin.
a gassous advanced mutation toxin delivery veggie, i blocked the shower door with a odysseus(it had like 600 chems scanned through botany farming)
and let loose 400 monkeys cubes in a corner, wet them and tossed in mutation veggie to infect all 400 monkies to become random slimes. used a frost oil veggie to kill the slimes.
i ended up with a xeno botany ghetto award, if i would stop sliming 400 batch monkeys at the time for randomized slime cores.
sorry for the wall of text, but yea botany like xeno if given time. outscales it if the botanist are truly the top of there respected codebase. this one is mainly tg stuff done on Citadel.

@@Manwoker its rng level is the highest ingame though, its easyer to predict potentail loot generated per round in mining and space. Then to see where botany rng is going to get you, but yea knowing your own style to go at botany with a good focus helps. Since getting into a rythm despite the shifts chaos is key to accelerate your progress to highrolling earlier.
Also amongst chems one could roll, migth also be antag chems, like uplink chems, ling skill chems and even syndicate mediborg nanites, which despite its name is still a chem. Its pretty much a 20 second delay adminzine, minus the revival part.
Oh and then there is the dna station goal, nothing stops you from ordering more then one. You just need to consolidate the rounds scan goals, and you can unlock as many vaults you build.
8 perks to be gained total, each vault rolls on 3 random results.
You can get all 8 perks just fine, they are seperate from genetics dna.

Botany is the strongest subdepartment, yesterday i made a flower that slips, shocks, burns, and drugs anyone who walks on it and you can wear it on your head and lay down for it to work too, coulda made it condensed too but i crashed campbell by accidentally destroying the plant fridge FULL of plants first
That mannitol mix used to be my G for making super gaia healing plant that had every single healing chemical in it.

Botany
Botany is the most scary shit and can become a tool for pure powergaming.
It has Kudzu. A mass destruction bioweapon or a cleaning atmos or in other codebases (Para) creates materials diamonds, gold, silver and plastic, amd the basic metal glass and wood. On tg/cidatel bases it changes atmos and can help cleaning it, like a giant lung. Pretty usefull to counter atmosia if you know a little of piping.
You have some special and pretty destructive combos.
Bananas can slip if you eat them, but you usually get full.
So what if you dont need to eat them?
Tomatoes, tomatoes are really squishy thanks to its main trait.
Take it and add it to a banana. Now the banana will leave its peel once launched
Impressive, you have made mass producing bolas, but we can go further, did you know, death berries have tirizine? A chem that makes you really sleepy at the same time as giving toxin damage?
Did you know that the reason you cant pick death neetle with a bare hand is another trait? Did you know that if you mix the banana mentioned before, with tirizene and the neetle trait once it hits its target, all the tirizene will be transfered instantly?
Did you know, Bicard and Kelo can be mixed with Space tobaco and removing the bad part of smoking, and make healing smokes? What about charcoal? You got it.
But we can go further.
Did you know, Earthblood only downside is brain damage? Get mannitol pills.
Add 10 mannitol 5 earthblood.
Now you have anti stamina stun for a moment, or insta recovery.
Add 5 of meth if feeling funny.
Did you know.
The same plant that gives you charcoal, gives you morphine? Pretty cool
But we can go further.
Strange plants.
Did you know strange plants can get ANYTHING? Yea, they can get a milk mutation yea, not interesting, mannitol? You got it.
Sindie stuff? There you go king.
But the most scary and broken thing is 1 trait.
Gasseous decomposition
The powergamers delight.
Have you ever dreamed of mass producing Gas grenades? Thats your trait, add it to a tomato, and add any chem you want. You have now the best one.
Also, did you know botany used to have a trait called separated chemicals?
Wait, you didnt know chems interact instantly once you harvest little jimmy? Yes if you plan on doing a nade, once you harvest, you WILL explode.
The fun thing is. Separates chems was made to prevent this. Add prickles and you have mass producing nades.
But as you can guess, there was a reason for their removal :)
The best part is that, EVERYTHING is chance based and extremely time consuming on tg/cidatel codebase. Reason that if you plan on min maxing you better be making grass and putting plots EVERYWHERE

Spacemans move instantly on tile on movement, animation is slower. Sometimes you visually can hit 2 tiles away especially diagonally.

Great War, honest i would have gone everyone Podperson, but instead of just Killer Tomatos, i would just spread Kudzu everywhere. It's a natural Sword/Shield for Botany tators.
