I am only an amateur photographer (and am very content with that) and my little bridge camera does me fine. But it does have one massive advantage, Leica glass at the business end. I would rather have Leica lens than 50 more mega pixels. I can see why you like your prime lens.

Nice to meet a fellow Scot! Beautiful work Brett. I have a GH5 with a Sigma Art 18-35mm, Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8, V2 and a Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95 Lens for low light. I am about to buy a wide angle lens 8-18mm by Panasonic, but your video has got me thinking! If I am doing filmmaking like you, would you say that I have it all covered? Or should I get a prime lens or wide angle lens?
Alexandre Silva Also a good option for the price. For me, I want the fastest aperture giving shallowest depth of field. Any prime will be good to learn with though 👍
Brett Currie if you compare them it’s really hard to tell the difference. The difference between f stop is so small. I’d rather use the money to buy another lens. I’m stuck between sigma 50-100, LUMIX 50-200 or 100-400 to add to my kit. Just can’t seem to figure it out.
