You settled the matter for me. For the last two days I have been researching so much about cheap manual lenses and costly fast lenses for low light. I hope all the three lenses you use have pin point auto focus facility. I just bought a g85 two days ago with a 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens
The kit lens is great for family stuff. However, you'll see a big improvement with any of the lenses mentioned in this video. As they are native lenses, the autofocus accuracy is spot on!
Thanks Clickumentary...it really is a special lens! There's just something a bit magical about how it renders the background and the fact that it's razor sharp even at f1.2 means it's still one of my favourite lenses. Definitely an investment that helps your footage stand out from the crowd!
My personal best are lumix 12-35 2.8 and lumix 20 1.7 They cover all for adventure filming plus give you some outstanding low light on e.g. Panasonic GH5. In my opinion a perfect combination, especially that 20mm is sized like a small box of matches
Good starting lens choices for those wanting to go down the prime route but I would encourage people to experiment with a lot of other options too. Especially if you want your work to stand out of the crowd. One of my favourite recommendations is to go super-wide on the dancefloor. I've got some amazing results using a speed booster and a Sigma 10-20mm 3.5 set to 14mm (about 18mm full frame after all the maths). Going wider than 30mm actually accentuates the feeling of being in the action even more, and the super-wide feel of view gives a really epic, dramatic feel to the footage, as well as reducing any visible unwanted movement either handheld or on a steadicam (I use a steadicam). In my experience it's easiest to compose shots on the dancefloor (especially on a tight dancefloor) when you're either very wide or quite tight shooting through people. I wouldn't recommend the super-wide for much else other than the dancefloor though (except in unusually tight situations where it can be a handy lens to have) as the lens distortion and soft corners can be an issue.
Hey Rhodri. Great to see you here in the comments section :) That's the great thing about MFT...there are so many options available to suit your particular needs. I tried some dance action with the Tokina 11-16mm and I agree you get some really cool footage. I chose the 15mm in this video because it's a great all-round lens, amazing in low-light and sooo small and light! I still use it throughout the day at every wedding. P.s. Sorry for the slow reply. The channel is going to be a lot more active this year so stay tuned!
For me right now I can pretty much shoot a whole wedding with the Panasonic 12-35 f/2.8II, 35-100 f/2.8II, and Mitakon 25 f/0.95. Throw in the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 for some establishing shots and it's a super great tiny kit (especially compared to my old Canon C100II kit!) Nice little video, I'm really interested in getting either the Panasonic 15 f/1.7 or the Voigtlander 17.5 f/0.95 for the reasons that you outlined above, sometimes the 25 is a bit tight.
Hey Kevin. Sorry for the really slow reply. It sounds like you've got a nice lens setup. Have things changed much in the past year? Look out for lots of new content coming soon! What type of videos would you like to see from the channel this year?
Thanks Benny! Yes, all of these lenses will work with the GH5S. The 42.5mm and 35-100mm are a particularly good match because they have lens stabilisation, so you can still get decent results when shooting handheld.
Hey Ramil. So glad you enjoyed the video! I use the Gobe Variable ND but more recently I've switched to this brand as they avoid getting the dreaded X effect when turned to their maximum darkness: geni.us/pdDg.
@@CameraGeeks I've been considering the 42.5mm f1.2 Nocticron vs the 45mm 1.2 from Olympus. Have you used the 45mm from Olympus? If so, how do they compare? I really gravitate to the Olympus because of the manual focus clutch. Thanks!!
@@CameraGeeks Thank you so much for your response Ben! I use the GH5 so i'm not so worried about the stabilization. I keep my 25mm f1.7 on there and am more than satisfied with the stabilization. I just might have to rent them both. Thanks again!
This is so helpful! I’ve been learning more about the GH5 as I’ve started to become a video content creator and don’t know where to begin! Thank you for the tips!
@@CameraGeeks Thanks so much!!! that means so much! I still have a TON to learn so excited to follow and learn from you! and aw so cute! congrats on her going to nursery!
@@CameraGeeks What do you think of using canon/sigma lenses with an ultra speedbooster? I got the 18-35 sigma and metabones ultra, how do you think those will compare with these lenses?
Nice footage. I use the same 3, ideal set up. Sometimes swap the 35-100 for the Olympus 75/1.8. I also get much better candid shots with the small 35-100 rather than the big full frame 70-200 I used to use.
Ben Pendlebury - Wedding Filmmaker 75 is sharp wide open and nice bokeh, great for focus pulls with the GH5 focus transition. Focal length is bit restrictive but if you can work a shot with it it’s usually a good one.
Hi good day, I'm looking for a lens recommendations, I've started shooting and lot of events at church and sometimes I'm so far away like 75-100ft away from the stage but I need a lens that can still get me a nice mid-shot or close up shot from 100ft away, I was looking at the panasonic 35-100, olympus 75mm, or Rokinon 85mm, or any other suggestions you may have. Can you make a recommendation please?
Hi Jireh! For maximum reach, I'd consider using a Canon EF adaptor such as the Viltrox along with a second hand Canon 70-200mm lens. Also, be sure to switch on the Ex-Tele convertor lens as it will crop in to the shot and get you even closer to the action. Hope that helps, Ben
hi im currently using 60d canon. but planning to move to mft because of stabilization for run and gun shooting on handheld, better sharpness and smaller compact camera easy to carry around. because im tired carrying around the monopod especially during special events like weddings, its kinda took long time to move from monopod to flycam/gimbal. do you think its good? im planning to get g85 with 14-42 lens and 25mm 1.7 because thats the only camera with kit that suits my budget. do you think its kinda miss moving from aps-c to mft? since i always love to shoot scene bokeh for more cinematic, i realize that panasonic have 25mm 1.7 but when converting to 35mm focal length is 50mm 3.4 i believe, so do you think the bokeh good enough since i got used to creamy bokeh on apsc? i dont really mind about autofocus since i prefer manual focus, on gimbal seems no problem as well for autofocus since its able to tap focus or using focus wheel on gimbal. so i would like to know your opinion since im planning to change my camera very soon. thanks
I own the G85 and it's an amazing camera for weddings...like a mini GH5 with a small crop when you film in 4K. The stabilisation is amazing so you'll be able to film most of the day handheld (you'll still want a tripod for ceremonies and speeches). I moved from Canon 6D, to Canon C100 and now GH5...so I've gone backwards in terms of sensor size. However, I love MFT for all of the reasons you described. I find low light performance and bokeh to be great so long as you use prime lenses. You'll be able to get brilliant results with the 25mm 1.7 all day. In terms of whether the 'look' and bokeh is what you're looking for, just look at lots of example footage and decide whether you would be happy with it. In general, I have no regrets whatsoever with moving to MFT. They are fun to use and perfect for weddings! Just do your research and maybe rent or borrow one and do your own test to make your own mind up first. Best wishes, Ben
Great video and you are right about being a part of the party with the 15mm, but the closest to the eye is 50mm, which means the 25mm on the GH5. That is why the 50mm is so popular on other camera brands and called “nifty fifty”.
Excellent video and great lenses, which I also use and love. Do you consider Olympus 12-100 f4 a good alternative for wedding photography and video, when compared to Lumix 35-100 f2.8? Or is the difference between f2.8 and f4 too big? I am curious to know your opinion as I am considering replacing the Lumix 12-35, 35-100 f2.8 and 14-140 (which I use on vacation), with a single lens - Oly 12-100.
Thanks! Whilst it would be lovely to strip things down to one lens, I don't think f4 aperture would give you enough brightness in dark settings to be honest! If you didn't mind using a prime, the Olympus 75mm f/1.8 could be a great way of reducing your kit down as it would do a similar job to your two long zoom lenses. It just depends if the reach is long enough for all of your needs. I recently did a review of the 75mm lens so be sure to check it out!
Hi Ben, nice video. I had a question. So, I'm on a budget, but I have a wedding coming up, and I will be the only shooter. I currently own the GH5 and the Sigma 18-35. Do you have any tips for me if I were to only use that setup? I am considering purchasing the Leica 15mm 1.7 to use alongside, and if I did that, what then would be your advice? Thanks in advance.
Hi Shred Studios. The Sigma 18-35mm is a fantastic lens for weddings! I actually used it myself for a few weddings during the pandemic. I think you could keep this lens on your camera for the whole day pretty much. You'll just need to keep fairly close to the action during the ceremony and speeches. I'd recommend using the Ex-Tele photo function to crop in to the shot and get that extra reach when you need it. You can find out how to set it up in my GH5 setting video here...th-cam.com/video/u9CUV8NuC8k/w-d-xo.html. If you are using a second camera for the ceremony and speeches, the 15mm lens will be perfect for capturing a continuous "safety" shot from the back of the room! The next lens on your list should be a longer focal length, such as the Lumix 35-100mm or the Olympus 75mm. That will help at weddings where you are forced to film from further away. Hope that helps! Ben
hi amazing video.. dear i have my G9 and i m beginner so let me what best cinematic videos which lense is the best to buy and definately all above lense also compatible for G9..right?
The G9 is an amazing hybrid camera! I have one myself and love it! All of the lenses mentioned are compatible with the G9. All of the lenses mentioned are amazing. I've since bought some Olympus lenses and they produce a beautiful bokeh too. If you want a good cinematic lens that does everything, the Sigma 18-35 with a speed booster works a treat!
@@CameraGeeks Yeah I guess. Lol. For instance the 35-100 you recommend is a 2.8, but as I understand it it will actually be 5.6 on the GH5. If that's the case I'd lose the DOF I'd be able to get with a true 2.8 (Like a Canon 70-200 2.8)
Hi, thanks for the advice. Can you share some info about ND filters that you mentioned are needed for the 42.5mm lens? What filter(s) do you recommend for various scenarios.
@@CameraGeeks sorry to be a bit thick Ben but the link goes to filters that range is size from 37mm to 86mm however there is no 67mm option which I think is what the 42.5mm needs?
You presented a lot of good points about the 15mm... it really does make people feel like they're there experiencing it themselves. A lot of filmmakers, I've noticed, will shoot everything very zoomed in or very zoomed out, which has its place, but for weddings might not be the best style. Anyways, just stopped by because I'm a fellow GH5 user (love this camera). You seem to know what you're doing with these wedding films! I'd appreciate it if you checked out my channel - I think there are a couple videos in there you might enjoy. Keep up the great work, cheers! -new sub
Hi Mark. Yes, I own that lens but don't use it much. It's a lovely lens but I tend to stick with prime lenses instead these days. It's fine for most of the wedding day but can struggle in low light. However, stick it on a GH5S and it works a treat. The dual IS is great for most uses but would fight with pans and tilts when using a tripod. Worked great on a gimbal though. You'll find some lovely examples of the couple shoot in this video...th-cam.com/video/-Y0C-7vN8cA/w-d-xo.html
I hesitate between acquiring Lumix 35-100 vs 42.5 1.7, don't they give comparable results in video at the same focal length? In other words, is it 15mm + 42.5mm a set to go for stills VS 12-35 + 35-100 as a set for videoshooting? Thanks for a meaningful and beautiful material, liked and subscribed 💙
Hi--love your film--can I ask how you get the focus on people with a blurred background on the GH5--is there a setting on the GH5 or is it the lens--thanks.
Hey Rancho! No, it's mainly down to what lens you use and what aperture you set. To get a blurry background, you need to set the aperture value to the lowest number available. If you search for 'how to get a shallow depth of field', you should find some really useful information. Hope that helps :)
Thanks for what you do, I enjoy your style of videos, doing a great Job! I know you use GH5 and G9 cameras, are you using tripods/mono pods most of the day or free hand using the inbody stabilisation? A video on this topic could be helpful :) I have a Panasonic G7 and a G95 (its like a baby GH5) I use the Panasonic 12-35 f2.8, 35-100 f2.8, 25mm f1.7 and a Kamlan 50mm F1.1.
Thanks Phil...that means a lot! I go free-hand most of the day, only using tripod/monopods during the ceremony, speeches and dance. The in-body stabilisation is so good, especially when using I.S. lock when needed. I'm planning to make a BTS for how I film weddings once everything gets back to normal a bit more. Those cameras and lenses you own make a great combination for weddings!
@@CameraGeeks Thanks for the reply, I hope you are holding up ok in the current climate... wedding industry has taken a hit! Ive gone as a second shooter a few times two friends of mine do what you do, Steve Ratcliff and Karl Partridge they both have their own videography companies here in South Wales they both leaning more towards the sony cameras now for the low light stuff... I just picked up the Kamlan 50mm F1.1 for £89, its a heafty little thing! Too bright for outdoors really and most usful around f1.4 - its very tight lens on MFT! great for details tho and no problem at all long as I can get back far enough! All the best to you mate, please keep doing what you do ;) Phil
Thanks! Sorry the channel has been quiet for a while but all of that will be changing this year. By the way, I just checked out your channel and you've got some great content too! I speak good Spanish but not German unfortunately...otherwise I would definitely subscribe!
For wildlife, would you use an Olympus 40-150 mm? what would you recommend for the most zoom possible? This is the best video I have seen on shooting for weddings.
The 1.7 is a great lens with really nice bokeh, especially when you're starting out. It's perfectly usable for wedding videos and captures beautiful results. However, if you are getting consistent bookings and want to take things to the next level, the 1.2 will produce astonishing results that look really 'glossy' and high-end.
Liked and subscribed--love this--seriously considering the Leica 42.5 but am finding major difference in prices ranging from £700--£1200--are there 2 different models of this lens?
Thanks Maggie and for the subscribe too! There is only one version of this lens but the dramatic price differences will be down to whether it's being sold from legitimately by a shop from your own country or through the grey market (usually China). Buying through the grey market can result in much cheaper prices but there are sometimes risks concerning warranties, and you may still have to pay the tax on import.
Hi Ben, just found your channel and great videos by the way very well presented too. Was looking for stuff wedding related for the GH5 as I have been shooting weddings (2 yrs) on the Sony A7sii & A7iii but after it over heated the last time (in 1080p!!!) and shut off during the vows I said enough is enough! So looking at the GH5 but obviously worried about the low light issue, so maybe a GH5 and a GH5s? The 35-100mm you reviewed you mention it's ok in normal setting lightwise, how have you gone on with it when it's really dark, say in a dark Church or reception? Do you take a light, if so which one are you using? Thanks Ben for your help and keep up the good work! Julian Voigt
Hey Julian! Thanks so much for your kind words :) The channel has been quiet for the past 8 months but I'm fired up and ready to produce lots of new videos soon. What type of stuff would you find useful? Glad you've switched over from the dark side ;). You must have been petrified when your Sony shut down during the vows! I've heard problems of overheating but why do these things always happen at the worst possible time?! I just checked your channel and saw you've now bought the GH5 and GH5S. It's a great combo! How are you finding them? Your films look really nice.
@@CameraGeeks Hey Ben nice to hear from you! Yeah so far loving the GH5 & GH5s; only shot 2 weddings with them so early days but so far I think they are great. I have been shooting weddings just 2 years last month so still getting my name out there but doing well have booked up (almost) 2020 and now taking bookings for 2021. Any stuff about what you have found useful with the GH5 would also be of interest mate as still getting used to these cameras. I shoot on the Cine D profile and use a LUT to grade it. Like the colours you get from the GH5 very Canon like in in my opinion, Sony colours were always a bit of a challenge.
Unfortunately, due to the fall of the ruble, lenses became very expensive at a wedding cost of $ 300 to $ 500. I use the adapter "kipon" and lenses canon 50 mm 1.8 canon 18-200 mm, there is another 17-50 mm 2.8-4.5
Hey Ben, I'm starting to shoot music videos, therefore i'm purchasing the GH5. which one lens you suggest me to start with? the 12-35 2.8 ii or the 42.5mm f/1.2? (or else) if you had to pick one of them to start for my purpose, which would you take?
@@CameraGeeks thanks for the response Ben, when i compered the image quality, colors and depth seems like the 42.5 is more impressive and like you said storytelling.. i really like the image quality of it and sharpnes, its seems to be better, but in the other hand i'll loose the low range of the focal, witch is better for perspective and wide shots, we will start shooting at some places with low lighting too, probably with less extra equipment, do you still think 12-35 is better choice in this case?
Among the many camera's I want to purchase the Panasonic GH5 and GH5s are among them. How are you finding the Panasonic GH5 and are you based in London
I also am now interested in the Leica 12-60... my main concern is reach and low light for weddings but the same time a lens I can use for personal travel videos..i am concerned the 42.5 is to long a focal length and not very versatile for run and gun work. I am also happy to use ex tele conversion to get that extra reach when needed
That's a tough one! My initial thoughts were go with the Nocticron because the results are the best you will find on micro four thirds! However, coming from such a versatile zoom lens, the change in shooting style might seem a big jump. I think I'd get the 35-100, which is the cheaper of the two, and if you could stretch the budget a little, get the Panasonic 42.5 F1.7 (listed in the description area) or the Olympus 45 f1.8 as well. You'll have a zoom lens that performs much better in low light as well as a brilliant prime for getting cinematic shots. If you enjoy using the prime, you could always sell it and upgrade to the Nocticron at a later point in time if you wanted. Hope that helps :)
Thanks for the reply.. I actually owned the 42.5 1.7 but sold it as it felt cheap and didn’t use it much!.. I can actually get the 12-35, 35-100 or the 42.5 1.2 for The same price right now so that’s not a problem.. it’s just what is the right lens for me.. thoughts on the 12-60 Leica? Don’t like the lack of constant aperture but like the range.. wouldn’t the 35-100 be too long for run and gun?.. also don’t think 2.8 is good enough for low light..
Really enjoyed this video :) I love my GH5 but have been stuck about what sort of lens's to upgrade to next. This has given me a lot of food for thought. Do you have any advice for filters on footage in post? I use premiere pro but struggle to treat the footage in a way that doesn't ruin the image
Nice review Ben, gorgeous wedding footage however perhaps your title ought say ‘ my top 4 lenses for the GH5’ and include the sigma 1835 because isn’t that the lens making you look good on this review video? Thanks for sharing your Pro insights! I’ll buy the 17ml.
Hi Sane. It costs a fortune but the results are the best you can get on micro four thirds. If you've seen it for 800 euros, it's probably a grey import which will come directly from Hong Kong. Only the Olympus 45mm Pro appears to produce a similar level of results but that lens isn't stabilised.

@@CameraGeeks Thank You
Great info Ben!I was thinking to buying a lens and this video is supper helpful. Thank you for making this video.😀👍
thanks you brother got lots tips abs lenses
Great video Ben. One of my favorite lenses for the GH5 is actually the Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 EF mount paired with a Metabones Speed Booster.
Hi !Kerry
Tamron SP 35mm f / 1.8 EF + Metabones Can it be autofocus ?
Thank you
hi im currently using 60d canon. but planning to move to mft because of stabilization for run and gun shooting on handheld, better sharpness and smaller compact camera easy to carry around. because im tired carrying around the monopod especially during special events like weddings, its kinda took long time to move from monopod to flycam/gimbal. do you think its good? im planning to get g85 with 14-42 lens and 25mm 1.7 because thats the only camera with kit that suits my budget. do you think its kinda miss moving from aps-c to mft? since i always love to shoot scene bokeh for more cinematic, i realize that panasonic have 25mm 1.7 but when converting to 35mm focal length is 50mm 3.4 i believe, so do you think the bokeh good enough since i got used to creamy bokeh on apsc? i dont really mind about autofocus since i prefer manual focus, on gimbal seems no problem as well for autofocus since its able to tap focus or using focus wheel on gimbal. so i would like to know your opinion since im planning to change my camera very soon.
I'd say : Sigma 16mm 1.4, Olympus 45mm 1.2, Olympus 40-150mm 2.8
Cheers Sergio. I've since added a couple of Olympus lenses to my collection and they are pretty amazing too!
Thank you very much Ben !
Great video and you are right about being a part of the party with the 15mm, but the closest to the eye is 50mm, which means the 25mm on the GH5. That is why the 50mm is so popular on other camera brands and called “nifty fifty”.
I thought the focal length that is closest to what the eye perceives is 35mm? hmmmm
Soul Tech
I have only read and heard about the 50mm should be the closest. Please let me know if you find out more about 35mm.
would you recommend the lumix 42.5 1.7???
Merci pour la vidéo
Is it possible to get the luts you use for weddings?
Ben again thanks ,I have bought 35-100mm for gh5/gh4 , I already have 12-35mm 2.8 so missed 15mm. 👌
No problem Sandeep. Keep an eye out for lots of fresh content soon!
Do you not double the F stop as well on this 4/3 sensor?
Are you talking about a 1.2 aperture lens having the same depth-of-field 'look' as a 2.4 full-frame lens?
-new sub
Hi! Have you tried the 12-35 f2.8 before? And what is your experience with dual IS? Does it fight panning/tilting movements?
@@CameraGeeks thank you so much--absolute star.
Thanks for what you do, I enjoy your style of videos, doing a great Job!
I know you use GH5 and G9 cameras, are you using tripods/mono pods most of the day or free hand using the inbody stabilisation?
A video on this topic could be helpful :)
I have a Panasonic G7 and a G95 (its like a baby GH5) I use the Panasonic 12-35 f2.8, 35-100 f2.8, 25mm f1.7 and a Kamlan 50mm F1.1.
All the best to you mate,
please keep doing what you do ;)
Phil
Very good video/review, keep on doing.
Thanks! Sorry the channel has been quiet for a while but all of that will be changing this year. By the way, I just checked out your channel and you've got some great content too! I speak good Spanish but not German unfortunately...otherwise I would definitely subscribe!
have you looked into the voightlanders 42.5 and 17.5
Hi. No I've not considered them because I use the lenses for photography occasionally too so I really need automatic focus from time to time.
For wildlife, would you use an Olympus 40-150 mm? what would you recommend for the most zoom possible? This is the best video I have seen on shooting for weddings.
My favorite Olympus 25 1.2 + Olympus 12-40 2.8
How does the 42.5mm f1.7 version compare to the f1.2? Apart from less light, how is the image quality and sharpness?
The 1.7 is a great lens with really nice bokeh, especially when you're starting out. It's perfectly usable for wedding videos and captures beautiful results. However, if you are getting consistent bookings and want to take things to the next level, the 1.2 will produce astonishing results that look really 'glossy' and high-end.
@@CameraGeeks thank you this really helps out!
Thanks for the lens information. In you opinion what is the highest usable iso with the Gh5?
Ben Pendlebury - Wedding Filmmaker thank you for the information, that really helps.
Thanks for the comment! Keep an eye on the channel as I'm going to be producing a lot more new content this year!
@@CameraGeeks Thanks
Quick question if I may. Do these lenses need a meta booster to be used on GH5?
None of these lenses need a speed booster...they're small and light and perfect for weddings :)
good video!the 42.5 lens look amazing,
I was wondering, are you use log all the time or?
Cause everything looks good in your video.
@@CameraGeeks that's help me a lot, thanks
Hi I can get either the 42.5 1.2 or the 35-100.. which one for weddings should I get if I had to choose?
Hey Lee. What lenses are you already using?
I have the sigma 16mm 1.4 and lumix 14-140
I can actually get the 12-35, 35-100 or the 42.5 1.2 for
The same price right now so that’s not a problem.. it’s just what is the right lens for me.. thoughts on the 12-60 Leica? Don’t like the lack of constant aperture but like the range.. wouldn’t the 35-100 be too long for run and gun?.. also don’t think 2.8 is good enough for low light..
do you think the Panasonic 42.5 1.7 is good enough for low light? how it is compared to the 1.2? there is a huge difference?
which lens do u use in the video? and which of the lens make the best bokeh on indoormovies if i dont have plenty of space to make movies?
Have you compared your Panasonic 15mm f1.7 against the Panasonic 12-35mm f2.8? Is the first one significantly better regarding resolution and colors?
Really enjoyed this video :) I love my GH5 but have been stuck about what sort of lens's to upgrade to next. This has given me a lot of food for thought. Do you have any advice for filters on footage in post? I use premiere pro but struggle to treat the footage in a way that doesn't ruin the image
Do you do private tutorials or can you please do a film on field of depth and aperture on the GH5--failing miserably.
I can definitely do private tutorials. You'll find my email address by clicking on the about tab for the channel so feel free to message me.
I appreciate this video, thanks!!
No problem at all! Look out for lots of new content this year!
Hey Moz. Thanks for your kind words. Good guess work... It was the sigma 18-35 that I used to film this video.
i bought 35-100 f2.8 ll and gh5. please recommend another one lens for me !
@@CameraGeeks thank you for giving me a nice comment !!
What nd filter size fits the 42.5mm please reply
@@CameraGeeks thanks alot
how nuch does the leica 42 5 mm f1/2 cost ??? I see on some website 800euros: is it the good one ?
Hi Sane. It costs a fortune but the results are the best you can get on micro four thirds. If you've seen it for 800 euros, it's probably a grey import which will come directly from Hong Kong. Only the Olympus 45mm Pro appears to produce a similar level of results but that lens isn't stabilised.
Great help this video, thank you! I just wish that 42.5mm f1.2 wasn't so expensive!
Me too! Definitely worth the money if you're in the business though as the results are beautiful!
Do you shoot in manual or auto focus for weddings?
Hey Carl. I shoot it manual focus and really enjoy it. I'm a bit of a control freak so don't think I'd trust autofocus enough, lol!
Hey, nice reviews on the lenses and helping me make up my mind, has your opinion changed any since this review, do you favour any other lenses now?
I see your from Derby, me too though I have moved a little north now into the Peak.

Hey Steve. Sorry for the really slow reply! Great to see somebody else from Derby in the comments section! Did you recognise Darley Park and West Mill in the video? I still love and regularly use the lenses mentioned in the video. I have since bought a couple of new Olympus lenses which I'll be talking about soon. Best wishes, Ben P.s. Cheers a channel name change too ready for the re-launch ;) ?
Dude! Amazing Slow Motion clips! Could you help me with that? I have some questions:
1. Which framerate were you recording on the GH5? 60 fps? 120fps? 240fps?
2. How did you get that fluid slowmo? Only slowing down velocity on premiere? and what framerate was your timeline there?
