Looks yummy I am going to do the apple first then try others. I keep a can of white frosting on hand to use for glazing it works great. I use it for the toaster strudles pillsbury has and dont have to mess withthose little icing packets. ever since then Its so easy to just scoop out what I need from the can tto use for a glaze.

My grandma made honemade apple strudel like the test kitchen but used reg homemade Doug check it out
I would add thin slices of cream cheese before folding and only sugar cinnamon topping

Frozen Puff Pastry is my favorite pastry to use for apple strudel. Defrost in the fridge and make your strudel like you do with the crescent roll dough.
Yes, that’s my favorite too! In fact wherever a recipe for crescent dough comes up I substitute with the Puff Pastry 🥐!
I made 2 of these today for the Packer Game, it’s halftime and they are both gone. I made one with apples and I drizzled some Carmel over the apples and than I put cinnamon sugar on top, AMAZING
The other one I put strawberry pie filling and I whipped up some cream cheese and put this on top of the strawberries. OMG. They did ask me where I got these and I said I made them, they didn’t believe me. So I showed them your post and than all 4 of them said I have to bring them to every game.

@@CatherinesPlates they were out of grands, so I used normal Crescent rolls they had and made the turnovers. Didn't use milk in my sugar but water to avoid salmonella if they sit overnight. Yummy!! Delish. Just like the old Pillsbury turnovers they used to have.

Fun!! I have been playing with crescent triangle dough and sheet, as well as making really easy cobblers, even, using the crescent roll dough and the Pillsbury pie dough. When I make it using crescent dough, I take one sheet and I blind bake it, poking fork holes so you won’t get lots of just bubbles!!
On the stovetop, I quickly cook a qt of fresh strawberries (cut in half after washing and removing the green tops) plus a pint of blueberries. Then, add a half a lemon’s zest OR juice, (you can use both if you like a tart cobbler); finally, 1/4 c sugar .
Once the berries begin to simmer two heaping taking of cornstarch blended with water, a tiny bit, a slurry. Let it come to a boil so the cornstarch can do it’s work, then cool about 20 min.
Pour your slightly-cooled berry mixture in the blind-baked bottom crust. Then take your second sheet of crescent dough, stretch it only slightly and push along the top of the bottom crust. Just like Catherine does with her strudel, I beat one egg very well and brush all over the top. Take the point of your knife and make 3 to 4 inch-long vents.
Cook at the temp on your crescent dough triangles or sheet. Depending on your oven, you might need to add 5-10 min. We like to put our cobbler in a shallow bowl and pour cream just around the bottom. You can whip the cream if you like; we just love a small puddle of cream. Yum.
