Asante sana! I lived in Lindi from '93 to '95. It's nice to see how well it has progressed. People look so much healthier and wealthier there now, but it's still so laid back. It would be great if you could catch a scene of old men playing Bao.

Thank you so much for showing Tanzania. I've been to Dodoma and Kondoa. Would love to live there. My wife and I are retired teachers and have taught children in Chimba and just wanted to stay. We know that going to language school in Morogoro would be a top priority. We want to contribute to the country.

This is a very good video of Lindi. I appreciate that the camera stays relatively steady as you walk and pan left or right. (I suffer from motion sickness with lots of camera movements). No problem at all. The walk through and your explanations are very informative. I too noted how clean the streets looks, especially the concrete ditches on the sides. The people of Lindi obviously care about their town and the cleanliness reflects very well upon them. I wish some of my neighbors in the the U.S. cared like them. There was a very 'peaceful vibe'. For traveling at night, I'm certain I would fall off into a ditch if walking. Maybe you can evaluate the towns in terms of day and night travel. Thanks.

The government has to build an industrial park in this area so that people can get jobs and in turn they will spend money buying things and the city will get revenue which will be used to update and to keep up the town like this. Also, when people are working, they will update and build better houses. This town need a woke up call/booster.

I only grew up in Lindi just for one year age 8yrs in 1957 before my father moved to a village 22 miles away from Masasi. I was sent to Zanzibar for schooling. Before Mtwara Port was built Lindi used to be extremely busy and prosperous. I have stopped over Lindi every year on my way to visit my father in village known as Nangomba. It is a bit sad to see Lindi like a ghost town. There were hardly many people to make Lindi viable for businesses to set up.

Bagamoyo being near Dar es Salaam and soon there will be a big port, I would suggest you may it compare to Lindi.
