I made #5. My Mama is big fan of red, white and black. She is in a nursing home. I made the lap size. She won't use it because she is afraid someone will take it. She does love it though. Thank you and happy quilting.
I'm just finishing up Easy Street --my 2nd pieced quilt. It really was easy -- after I read the block assembly directions about 12 times! (🙂)But once I just did what the directions said, I got it!! Bought the 3 yards at the Beaumont quilt show earlier this year. Thank you for all these easy quilts for this beginner to try.
Not surprised at all by Old Glory. Add a wide border and it is a fast, easy, perfect Quilt of Valor. Thanks for the recap of your top 10! The stories were a fun bonus!
Donna and Fran, After watching more of this video, I saw the pattern " Sew Quick" I have the book . That features this pattern. This just answered my question on using directional prints. I also like this pattern and it will look great in the directional print. I have with the two solid colors as fabric choices 2 and 3 Thanks again .
So I finally see them all and they were magnificent but my pick is #2 -- pattern was quite simple and the fabric patterns/colors (unquilted ones) were picked for the uniqueness (women carrying water jugs on head). That was so fun to watch!
I just started a beginner quilting class this month and bought your book pretty darn quick. I’ve made three of the patterns so far. So easy for a beginner to understand.
I made the Stepping Stone Pattern and made it as a Quilt of Valor. So my colors were Red, White and Blue. Had the LARGE red and blue with cream background and used that as the large block. I turned out beautiful and the young man who lives in Austin, Texas loved it. Turned out to be one of my favorite Q of V that I have ever made. Stepping Stones and Cornerstones are my two go to favorite patterns. For baby quilts the most favorite patterns is Carefree. Please continue to come up with great patterns.
Loved this show - you two are great! I made the #4 with a large coffee themed print for the large square, a brown coffee bean print for the smaller square, and coordinating cream for the background -turned out great!
What great fun!!!. A hard choice for top ten because I love them all.Beautiful fabric kits for all chosen. 3 patterns out of the 10 are the ones I made before Christmas. Very clever choices.♥️🇦🇺
I’ve always wanted to make quilts but, never learned. This coming year I plan to take a class in quilting. I crochet blankets and have donated a few to the homeless. I would love to do the same with the quilts that I make. I have just found your channel and fell in love with it! I’m a subscriber! ❤️
This video was so much fun! What a great concept. You are all so creative. I found myself just as excited as Donna and Fran to see the pattern rankings. I love all the 3 yard quilt patterns that I have made. I was excited to see that several of my favorites made the top 10.
Town Square was my first actual finished quilt. Made for a friend who has since passed away. She loved it! I actually used four fabrics with a music theme.
Olde Glory is my favorite pattern….fell in love with it when I first saw it!! Christmas Forest is diffinately second. Thank you so much for this fun show that I got to enjoy from my own living room.
Kudos to Hannah and you two. That was a fun and fantastic video. I always love watching your videos to see all the exciting patterns and fabric choices.
I think, I better go check, I think I worked on this with my hubby help at times. I was so excited to do this one. #10. I love this pattern to as well.
I just loved this episode! I had so fun seeing the unveiling of Top 10 "Three Yard Quilts" in 2021. Many gorgeous quilts made with beautiful fabrics and truly creative , stunning designs!
Turns out I've done almost half of these. I had no clue that Olde Glory would take #1. However, I've been requested to do Olde Glory so many times. I guess I'll give the people what they want. Lol
Loved this show - you two are great! I made the #4 with a large coffee themed print for the large square, a brown coffee bean print dor the smaller square, and coordinating cream foe the background -turned out great!
Love ,love the presentation. I am truly delighted the actual quilt was shown amidst each nomination. The post card picture didn't give ANY justice to quilt. Presentation was adorable. 🎷
I love making quilts but I am not very good at matching material I just wish I could work with you guys sometime and you match my material for me love listening to your show love both of you thank you
I made the Stepping Stones quilt for my niece this Christmas. I used the kit Sophisticated Christmas II. It turned out lovely. I backed it in a light gray fabric with white dots that looked like snowflakes. And bound it with a gold flange.
Stumbled on this site when watching Missouri Star Tutorial and was fascinated with all ten of the patterns - HAD to order! Am imagining how I can use up my stash that has me pushed out of my sewing room and anxious to get started on some quick gifts!
Welcome Kathryn! 3-yard quilts are an awesome way to use up your stash! I invite you subscribe to our YouTjube channel to see some of the fun things we have in store in 2022. Donna
Thank you you “darling duo!” A great video ( as always) and fun, fun, fun to watch. We know there are many talented people you work with and I don’t want them left out. Thank you EVERYONE at Fabric Cafe for a fabulous year. 🥰
Easy Street was my first 3 yard quilt! I consider it my first love 😁. Because of today's video, I have decided on Stepping Stone for some fabric I have had in my stash. Thank you for giving me my inspiration! I'll have to post it when I finish. (It is going to be for a charity auction in September) Happy New Year!
Wonderful show, loved the top 10 you girls can keep designing. I have loved your patterns because of the speed to get them done! My problem is deciding what one to do. I have only done two so far-not quilted as yet but plan to!
Thank you for this video, my favorite patterns are in the top ten. It took me all afternoon to see the whole thing but I saved it to my playlist because I found a new one that I love and I might have to get it. I have a book on order from Reb’s Fab Stash and waiting for it to arrive
The number one pattern "old glory" is a great pattern for Valor quilts. I love the colors that you chose for this one would work nicely for our female warriors. My favorite quilt this year is the bear paw from the newest collection. I've made that particular quilt three times this year!
Happy New Year to all of you at Fabric Cafe love the top 10 video Donna and Fran you both are so sweet and Hannah did a great job putting it together. .
I have made several of your quilts. I have a habit of making small changes in the designs. They have turned out beautifully :) Oddly enough, I haven't made any of the top 10, lol!
This was so much fun to watch! You two make a great team! Loved the concept of this video- nice job Hannah! I’m partial to Sew Quick but there are other kits/patterns I have to make and looking forward to trying new ones! As always, enjoyed watching your video! Happy New Year to everyone!
I loved your reveal and think of trying the African quilt as I have also been wanting to do the African queen. However I am disappointed my fav did not make it in and sometimes I have so much trouble finding that pattern
Have made them all except Christmas Forest… the rectangles I tried to do on another pattern but got all mixed up so I’ll stick with the half square triangles! 🤭
I made one too, but with 6 yards of fabric! I’m sorry but I can’t remember the name of the pattern. I loved making it and have plans to make another! (If I can find my book). Thank you so much!
Donna and Fran, great video I have a question ? Could it's a snap pattern work with a directional print ? because one of the Prints that i want to use is directional. The other 2 prints are more solid colors. Please let me know I like this pattern . And think it will look perfect for this quilt I want to make for my granddaughter.
R these quilts ur showing for just a full dice bed? I want to make a queen size so how much material do I need and do u ever sell the white if u want strips in between or on the edge more. Cost also for queen size. I saw several patters I would like to do.
Hi Debbie! All of our individual patterns are for lap sized quilts, approx 45x60 inches. However, our quilt books contain the instructions to make a queen sized quilt! To make a queen you will need 12 yards of fabric. You can find our books here www.fabriccafe.com/books-printed-s/1823.htm
I made #5. My Mama is big fan of red, white and black. She is in a nursing home. I made the lap size. She won't use it because she is afraid someone will take it. She does love it though. Thank you and happy quilting.

Some of my favs weren't in the top 10.
Roman Holiday, Bold Blocks, Hopscotch.
Roman Holiday is only in a book, not a single pattern yet. But I agree, it is one of my favorites too! Donna
Chevron would be great in the Charlie Brown shirt colors for Snoopy fans!
I love that! What a great idea!
Awesome video. The #2 pattern "Sew Quick" quilt that you showed, is the yellow and black colored fabrics still available? Love that combination.
Hi Diana, No, that one has sold out.
I had also done it in the same blue/white color scheme! Burrrr..... from Lake Okoboji IA.
I made one too, but with 6 yards of fabric! I’m sorry but I can’t remember the name of the pattern. I loved making it and have plans to make another! (If I can find my book). Thank you so much!
I just remembered, I made 2! 😊
Donna and Fran, great video
I have a question ? Could it's a snap pattern work with a directional print ? because one of the Prints that i want to use is directional. The other 2 prints are more solid colors.
Please let me know I like this pattern . And think it will look perfect for this quilt I want to make for my granddaughter.
Hi Marion! It’s A Snap would not work well with Directional Fabrics due to the Units and Blocks being turned in various directions. - John
