great videos fella well done, as a diy'er i've been calling myself kirbside motor for the past 30yrs, would love to see you go through more of the diagnostics menus, i have the otofix d1 pro which i believe is approx the same as your autel, so leaning from your diag use would be awesome, thanks for the content fella keep it up!!!

Did a turbo on one of those Mercs the other day. Was passing quite a bit of oil which leaked past seals on intercooler pipes onto the auxiliary belt which snapped. Rear bolts on turbo are a twat to undo on floor but I had previously drilled out as had to remove before because customer had supplied new intake manifolds (flaps had seized). I also stupidly tried to remove glow plug but drill went slightly off and I drilled into water jacket. Found head for £79 and got skimmed and new gaskets. Fitted with old chaining place, bit of a fiddle but worked and didn't cost me too much in long run ( actually made money from job as whole thank God!). Bit of a money pit for the customer tbh, he keeps throwing parts at it and Is happy for me to fit them. No guarantees from me though.
Sounds like a nightmare 😂😂 yeah I have told him there a fair bit of work that needs doing and it’s not all cheap things either

Great video as usual mate. Just wandering (I do similar work), when you service these late BMWs, are you able to enter the service on the iDrive? It's something I'd like to do but I believe it requires a subscription charge? Cheers and keep the content coming!
It is possible mate yes, I believe you are right regarding the subscription. I haven’t done too many newer ones, and I’ve always just given a receipt/invoice to keep with their records
I never buy modified cars, you never know what you will find, that's just me though.
Can be a minefield no matter if the car is modified or not sometimes
Yes you are quite right when people think they know how to do something with limited knowledge when they mess around with cars you can end up going down a rabbit hole ......
Some of the “modifications” I’ve seen over the years have been dreadful

I've had them cut out when taking jump pack off and it's been high resistance in the battery.

What was wrong with the Transit? Didn't sound exactly like a wheel bearing.
Turns out it was a warped disc 🤦🏻♂️
That was quite a roller-coaster of a variety of jobs... A very interesting week 😊😊
