He sounds very similar to my favorite narrator of all time, Peter Coyote, now 80 years old, who narrated for the Ken Burns documentaries. This is the highest compliment I can pay our narrator on this channel. He is very good!!!!
Hello, I am an Iranian and I have been happy to see the films of these two for many years. I thank you for this film. I wish one day I could visit this place.
This has become my favorite channel on YT. The work; narration, storyline, image series, & research is impeccable! I love documentaries, especially well done ones. Cannot wait to see more from this Channel. This is a content creator I definitely would support in every way.
Gosh, this was so awesome to watch and learn about all these great people. My grandmother would have loved this video of her favorite comedy team, Laura & Hardy and their co-stars. My favorites is all the Laurel & Hardy movies with costar Mae Busch. She was awesome. Thank you making this historical and video.
Thanks for the nod to Buster Keaton. By far, he is my favorite silent star. A production came to my town in which an actual in-person orchestra played along with the Buster Keaton films. It was truly a fun day.
This bring tears of pleasure and enjoyment. I grew up with these duo as a kid. Other films, Swiss Miss, Babes in Toyland, Great Guns, and many more. Thank you so very much. Tom.
I thoroughly, loved and ENJOYED this documentary! Although I grew up in the 80s, we always watched reruns of the old movies and comedies. Thank you for doing such a good job in honoring those who are not around but contributed so much to good clean fun! ❤️
It’s amazing how their work still survives to this day and is still watched by many. Being only in my early 20s it crazy how generations have all shared a laugh at their genius and I hope many more will. Videos like these are so important in preserving the past and the many characters and places that aren’t as well know but still played parts in the making of the films and careers of many people
👩💻I grew up watching Laurel & Hardy on T.V. I thoughly enjoyed them then, and continue to do so now. I ran across a film on U2b called "Stan & Ollie," 2018. The movie can be rented or bought. It gives a background on their careers and personal lives. The pair of actors that portray them are excellent and really worth a watch. I didn't know Stan Laurel wrote all their stuff, a very talented man. Much love and peace. 🙋♀️🪔🥰🐞☯️🧘♀️😷🇺🇲
Thank you for your kind reply, and at the same time thank you for the two film parts about the history of all of them who are constantly entertaining us even though all their film partners, film directors and all those who participated in film production at that time are no longer here with us.
Watched them in the 50s as a kid along with the “Little Rascals “! They were truly comic genius at the early years film! Great presentation! Thank you-
Well done. I used to watch Laurel & Hardy movies on our local tv station as a young child. Years later, I still enjoy them. They always make me laugh !
I remember the piano one. Where they try to get it up the mile long stairs 🤣... Buster Keaton will always be the king of the silent films for me. I just watch "Steamboat Bill Jr" the other day, but my favorite will always be "The General". It is hysterical, even for today's standards in my opinion!
My father (who bore a striking resemblance to Stan) introduced me to L&H when I was a kid. We watched them together for years until Dad died. However, he created a devoted Laurel & Hardy fan for life -- me. I'm happy to say, I did the same thing for my son, and today he's a huge L&H fan. It's great when we can pass down something wonderful to our kids.
Stan Laurel was a comic genius and I love him to this day, the funniest person I've ever seen, and along with the great Oliver Hardy, became to this day, the finest comedy double act ever
Great upload. Fantastic that someone is keeping the memory of these early pioneers alive. Sad so many died quite young. Must have been quite hard in those early movie days.
Thank you for a very enjoyable and informative video. There is no doubt Laurel and Hardy and all those that starred with them were unique and we are unlikely to ever see their like again. Fantastic production which the creators should be justly proud, now off to find the next one.
THANK YOU FOR GIVING EACH, AND EVERYONE THE RECKETNISION AND HONOR THAT THEY DESERVED. I ENJOYED TAKING THIS JOURNEY DOWN MEMORIE LANE. I AM GRATEFUL TO EACH ONE OF THESE ACTORS FOR WORKING SO HARD IN ORDER FOR ME LAUGH THROUGH HARD TIMES THROUGH MY SIMPLE LIFE.
Great, realy great! I cant understand everything, but i know the Movies and the most of the Acters. Thanks for that great thing!!! UI wish i can vist the places one day! Best Wishes from Germany
The genius of Laurel And Hardy is that I loved them when I was a child because they were goofy and funny. And now that I am middle aged adult - I see the humour that I missed a child and only understand as an adult. Now that was clever and that makes Stan a genius.
I am 55 years old but I sure watch Laurel and Hardy every Saturday along with the three stooges it was my Saturday lineup eating my cereal in front of the TV special these were great shows that children of today most of them will never ever know but if sometimes you think about it just turn on TH-cam and find them pull them up on your fire stick and let these kids of today watch some of the funniest comedy ever and they all rest in peace they gave me a lot of laughs as a child
I so agree, they make me cry with laughter, brilliant, their humour for me is the best medicine if I’m a little down or whatever, rest in peace Stan and Ollie, 🌹🌹🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️
An excellent and at times moving video which rightly brings together those people who albeit often unsung were such an important part of the Laurel and Hardy "family." The commentary is just right too. Thank you very much
I was introduced to the boys by my dad in 1966. They never grow old. Talent to the human condition an laugh about it is something I cherish deeply as I get older. More now as the world seems to get smaller and people forget we need fun time more then ever.
You sir, deserve a some sort of reward for accomplishing what you have done. I've watching Laurel hardy for years, and if not for you I wouldn't be able to appreciate all the people you mentioned in this video,. For one, I never made the connection from charter to character. This is a beautiful Documentary!!!!! I am a retired New York City Public School Teacher, and I will be visiting the locations of many of the gravesites and movie scenes when I fly out to California!!
Thank you so much for these videos about Laurel and Hardy! They are a wealth of information and are very entertaining. I had forgotten how much I loved the boys as a kid growing up in northern California watching their timeless films and the cartoon series in the 1980s. It is truly amazing that going on 100 years the collection of work the boys left behind is still entertaining new generations making new fans and reminding the old ones how comedically awesome the boys and their co-stars were. RIP boys and company. Thanks for the memories and continuing to make us laugh for generations to come.
Back in the days when there were only four television stations to choose from, my sister and I would stay up late during summer vacations and watch all the classics and loved them all. Fast forward thirty years, I would always scratch the top of my head and make a pouty face just like Stan Laurel often did, and my children would always mock me in return. Twenty years later I would remind them of it and show them where it came from and they thought it was just hilarious.

@@oliviaquijano9018 I believe they are buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in The Hollywood Hills, the same cemetery where Stan Laurel is buried.
