Matching pairs are very powerful when solving sudoku puzzles.

I'm appreciative of your tutorials! I played Sudoku some years ago, but I gave up because I was solving them without any sense. I did not understand as the puzzles became more difficult.
I started trying to solve them again because my friend bought me a book as a gift for my long flight; she told me that since I like numbers, she thought the book would make a great gift. Thanks to you, I'm on my way to using the methods you show!

I am on my third tutorial lesson and loving it! I have always wanted to do Sudoku but was intimidated and had no idea how to really get going ... tried a few times to just muddle my way through puzzles and got discouraged. I am hooked on to sudoku now. Growing up I thought what a lousy game my grans and elders like to play, while at the same time I always knew that this mysterious game held a hidden power within it. Now, I feel just as one does when he's finally unravelled a mystery.

That's Ok Elaine. Many players try difficult puzzles too soon Master the very easy puzzles first. Leassons 1 -4 cover the very easy puzzles Lesson 5 - 12 are easy to medium puzzles. So much depends on what you know (tricks and techniques) and using a procedure.
