Big mistake getting rid of Caverna. It's one of the best couples games out there, great at two players. Is also simpler to learn than Gloomhaven and Root :)

There is a town called Tennessee, Ontario, somewhere between Windsor and Toronto. A club I was a member of in college took a bus trip to Toronto to watch Rent, and I remember that being a topic of (very brief) amazement when we passed through. Since then I've learned that the Cherokee tribe migrated to modern day Tennessee from the Great Lakes region, and both the city and the town take their name from a word in the Cherokee language. So yes, technically Tennessee IS north of Ohio.
I love shelf tours. They're better than a top 10 to know what games you think are worth owning. P.S. every time I see Chai: Tea for 2 on your shelf (or J&J's) I start wondering if I'll ever see it on mine...
My daughter 7 yrs loves dungeon mayhem I have it's expansions it adds interesting characters. It's not a long game, lot of fun and a fast dnd game which could appeal to kids as well... You could try the expansions before culling it and the box is also not big to occupy a lot of space... 😊
Hanabi is fun cute coop Max :) I think it might have won the Spiel des Jahres at some point. Great to finally see your collection as a whole. Many great games.
Concordia Venus is a top 3 game for me. The team variant is so great and almost the only way I’ll play anymore! You’re always in the game which is awesome for a euro.

Me with Caverna: Take off the shelf. Open the box. Look at everything. Close the box. Put it back on the shelf. Maybe printing 3D inserts and dwarves will help me get it to the table finally. It's just a mess of stuff otherwise.
The copy of Caverna I bought second hand even has tackle boxes, printed out papers, etc. all helping with rules and organization…. And it still seems like a lot.
This video I LOVED. I had to pee so bad (tmi I know) but literally held it because I was so engaged with this. I know I could have paused it and officially did when you guys were fighting about the Everdell tree! 😂
I've seen these culling videos and what I can take away is that culling the games wasn't that big of a deal. Compare that to other videos where the cull is a sad funeral. Cheers on the awesome games. I'd play the whole collection.
Hey, thanks so much! That’s a good way to look at it! I like to cull. It means giving myself more space, more $, and typically, giving someone who actually *wants* the game a good deal. Love spreading the joy of games and culling is a great way to do that!

Great video! These cull videos are so informative. I know you probably get a lot of guff for them.😁 We just got Long Shot...I am surprised it didn't go head to head against Camel Up. I don't know. I love both, but Long Shot might replace Camel Up for me. 😬 Also, I have some girls too (8, 5, 3 year old). Dungeon Mayhem has been one they grab for their sleepovers and play and teach their cousins by themselves. It's the only reason I've kept it, but it is just so simple that the girls love it. Castle Panic is one of their favorites too.
Oh I definitely have compared LongShot and Camel Up internally… I’m not quite sure yet but the conversation is happening ;) Might be worth holding onto dungeon mayhem then!

However, the combo of interesting mechanic, collaborative play, ease of teaching, and speed (as well as small shelf space/portability) give it big ups. It helps to communicate some norms - like "this is the side I'm going to discard from" to help players defend 4s and 5s. It's also good to point out the assymetry on the back of the cards as it can aide hand management.
Hanabi is a classic!! Clank! Legacy is fun and only 10 sessions long. And it leaves you with a playable game of Clank! at the end. Targi is wonderful!! One of my wife's and my go-to games. It's cool to see Max getting into miniature war games! I have dove deep into the painting world. Still need to actually play a game of something...but the painting has dragged me in hard core. Our tastes are...not the same. *Looks at my 18xx, Splotter, and Lacerda collections* 🤨 But always neat to see different perspectives! I wanted to keep my collection on a 5x5 kalax, but I think I'm doing a 150 game limit personally. Only ~130 games actually fit on there and I'm happier with a round 150. I pack mine more tightly than yours, though, for sure.

@@Tablenauts :) I was just so surprised, because I got Dino Rawr & Write because I didn't want the table hog three hour experience of it's older siblings and it definitely does the job for me- I don't think the decision space is that big that ap should be a huge problem for most. If you like roll and writes give it a chance. For me it's up there with 3 Sisters and Hadrian's Wall.
I have only played it at 2 & 3 so far! I think higher player counts will be preferred but I would ABSOLUTELY still play it at 2. I had a very good time at 2, just a slightly better time at 3.
Haha, hey, I think we’re there with ya! Blood Rage has way better / more impactful drafting, but that can be both a positive & negative. Drafting games can be hard to introduce to people I find. Still holding onto Blood Rage for now but we’ll see!

sell mechs vs minions! I kinda hate riot games though, so im biased. Wonderlands war def is one of the best games in a while and can eliminate games in your collection like quacks
Lots of great games but one: Nemesis! It's simply terrible! Too random...boring...slow...90% of the time you do the same two actions, move and search...no interaction for an american...you can win without put too much effort because other players can randomly do things for you! It's a solo game played in group...the worst I have ever played! Also the quality is not there for the price...every time we play it's a pain in the ass...
Oh man I love Nemesis! Granted, I’ve had good and bad games, but I still wanna go back to it. It seems very polarizing though, def not for everyone. :)
@@Tablenauts I mean I love amerigames where you get involved in the story, but this is just annoyng to play. Mechanics don't work for me...they have tried to match the reality into the game, but the result is a boring and slow game in which you repeat the same actions at 90% of the time! And on top of that there is no interaction...and I love Alien movies too. I do have Battlestar Galactica and Dead of Winter, which I consider the ultimate semi-coop games with a common and visible goal to reach! Anyway...thanks for the chat! Bye...

100% agreed with Doolin’s comment re: Land vs Sea. The second Cascadia came into my collections LvsS was out too!

Concordia Digital is pretty good. And Concordia is just so smooth. It's themeless trading in the Mediterranean, but it just goes down smooth.
Sherrif of Nottingham takes 3 min to learn the rules. It's super easy and fun. They have an app to help w scoring that I would recommend as well

My littles Love dungeon mayhem, they are 7 and 6. There are a couple inexpensive expansions that make the variability more fun.
I have heard the expansions go a long way! Might be worth looking into it.

For me Wonderlands War is so much better than blood rage. But I’m not a blood rage fan so I guess that means of course it’s better.

Blood Rage has way better / more impactful drafting, but that can be both a positive & negative. Drafting games can be hard to introduce to people I find.
Still holding onto Blood Rage for now but we’ll see!

Lots of great games but one: Nemesis! It's simply terrible! Too random...boring...slow...90% of the time you do the same two actions, move and search...no interaction for an american...you can win without put too much effort because other players can randomly do things for you! It's a solo game played in group...the worst I have ever played! Also the quality is not there for the price...every time we play it's a pain in the ass...
Oh man I love Nemesis! Granted, I’ve had good and bad games, but I still wanna go back to it. It seems very polarizing though, def not for everyone. :)
@@Tablenauts I mean I love amerigames where you get involved in the story, but this is just annoyng to play. Mechanics don't work for me...they have tried to match the reality into the game, but the result is a boring and slow game in which you repeat the same actions at 90% of the time! And on top of that there is no interaction...and I love Alien movies too. I do have Battlestar Galactica and Dead of Winter, which I consider the ultimate semi-coop games with a common and visible goal to reach! Anyway...thanks for the chat! Bye...
