see Fantano knows how stupid he was for giving MBDTF a 6, so now in order to keep his credibility as a critic he doesn't go back on his opinion of MBDTF and instead he acts like he feels the same way as he did before. Ever since that backlash from viewers Fantano has always been trying to troll Kanye fans and busting their balls by saying the most outrageous things like Famous being a top 5 Kanye song because he knows he fucked up bad with that MBDTF score, so instead of being remembered as the critic that didn't love MBDTF he's instead trying to make his legacy as the critic who had a really different and edgy opinion of Kanye's music that was so unique from everyone else's opinion.
I think he's just giving his opinion on which tracks he enjoys more since (a) that's his stated goal with all of his reviews and (b) he's always been pretty consistent about what he enjoys and why he enjoys it. Reading some kind of ulterior motive of being "Edgy" to get more shock fans doesn't make any sense. His channel was wildly successful before the MBDTF review and he's never been in this to get massive viewership without good content.

saying "Devil In A New Dress" is a weak track is disqualifying for anyone trying to do a Kanye West bracket imho. one of the best & most effective examples of Kanye sampling the human voice and using it as an instrument in a discography dedicated to doing just that
Joseph I mean, I hear that, I think the track is pretty beautiful until the Rick Ross feature. It's a pretty lame and weak feature. That takes it out for me. But yeah, saying it was one of the weaker tracks on MBDTF was pretty harsh

see Fantano knows how stupid he was for giving MBDTF a 6, so now in order to keep his credibility as a critic he doesn't go back on his opinion of MBDTF and instead he acts like he feels the same way as he did before. Ever since that backlash from viewers Fantano has always been trying to troll Kanye fans and busting their balls by saying the most outrageous things like Famous being a top 5 Kanye song because he knows he fucked up bad with that MBDTF score, so instead of being remembered as the critic that didn't love MBDTF he's instead trying to make his legacy as the critic who had a really different and edgy opinion of Kanye's music that was so unique from everyone else's opinion.
I think he's just giving his opinion on which tracks he enjoys more since (a) that's his stated goal with all of his reviews and (b) he's always been pretty consistent about what he enjoys and why he enjoys it. Reading some kind of ulterior motive of being "Edgy" to get more shock fans doesn't make any sense. His channel was wildly successful before the MBDTF review and he's never been in this to get massive viewership without good content.
