Looks amazing! Really loving what's been done so far. Please make it so we can rescale the UI, some of us like smaller UI. Will defo be buying the game when its up for purchase!
This looks awesome. In case you haven't already heard of it, check out a game called Delta V: Rings of Saturn. Your game seems to share some design philosophy with it. Also, not sure if you're planning on doing this, but it would really cool if the different ships in your game came with different HUD designs that match either the ship type or ship manufacturer. Can't wait to play your game!
I played Delta v briefly I need to spend more time in it. Is I hear there is quite a bit of depth in it Different HUD per ship would be cool but that's a stretch goal for sure.
Can you introduce auditory and visual hallucinations around the anomalies? Chromatic aberration on the HUD elements and the screen. Then occasionally you can hear faint transmissions seeping out of the anomaly. Lost travelers yelling ghostly "mayday"s and "help us" "Is anyone there?" "hull failing" etc. The player would imagine the stories of those lost shipwrecks torn apart by gravitational effects. Could even base mission around them. Or you have a character who was pnce rescued from an anonaly and came back changed.
yeah this will need to be integrated to automatically scale based on resolution and screen ratios, so hopefully that leads to some easy customization options as well.
This looks amazing. Since I noticed those bridge-like structures on the new designs, are the decks oriented vertically relative to thrust, like in the Expanse or horizontally?
So is there like a crowdfunding page or anything where can possibly secure a key early or is this all just something you are doing for funsies out of your pocket?
That gunship destroyer concept goes HARD.
These ship designs are so much better than a lot of other sci-fi games at the moment, they seem way more grounded in reality.

noted and yes it something we were already planning to look at.
That new ui is so much cleaner. Love it
The shot leading reminds me of Battlefront 2. I like it! Also, that gunship looks awesome. With every new ship, they look cooler and cooler.

all i ask for HUD wise is the ability to rescale the UI or remove individual parts

the sounds are good
Nepotism is a hell of a drug

now i need to rewatch Exapanse for the 4th time
It would be cool if a tractor beam came out and dragged the cargo in rather than the magic grid.
Why are the ships all just rectangles with thrusters?
