Howdy from the US! I was just able to find one of these 25% off - 205USD from REI here in the states. They may be going out of season and you can probably find a good deal as it starts to warm up. I'm 6'2, 175# and found the large to be a great fit - though you are right, it is a bit long compared to FJRs other jackets.
How warm would you say it is at say -10 to -5 degrees? I actually got a similar jacket (Thorium AR by Arcteryx), which is slightly warmer (at least more down), but not entirely happy with the fit. This Fjallraven seems like a good alternative.
@@BackpackingUK Thanks! Seems like a touch colder than the Thorium then. Would've thought this one would be okay if you layered under it at -10 (maybe with a shell as well). Do you use this as your main UK winter jacket?
Check your brand name spelling, just a tip….I love my gear, the most favourite is a Winter Wax coat, more of a parka really, for dog walks etc. superb kit, if you can shop around and wait for a deal ( try Amazon) you may get a really decent bit of clothing for a fair price. I think my coat rrp. £390, and paid £185 in the summer (off-season)
Great video, I liked it, keep up the good work. By the way, I also recently started making videos about hiking and bushcraft, look at it somehow, I assure you it will be a lot of fun. 👍
No such thing as "ethical down" mate, it's all being plucked out a defenseless bird who's feathers should be worn by only them. Plenty of alternatives these days, absolutely no need!
lovely jacket,, you can really see the quality of it... really smart.. fjallraven really know what they are doing with there gear...
Absolutely! It’s a lot of money but the quality is on another level.
A very sincere review of what looks like a great fortress. Thanks!
Thanks 👍
Great review mate lovely looking jacket. Love the green colour 👍
It’s fit it perfect too, probably my best fitting jacket. It’s nice and long and the collar is spot on. No more cold draughts!
Lovely jacket, never had any fjallraven gear but going to give this jacket a try👍🏽 cheers for the review
I’ve always liked their gear but always kept safe with Rab and ME. So glad I took the gamble!
Yeah me too, I’m a massive fan of rab and montane! Hopefully this jacket compares
Do it I am a huge fan of these products.
I’m looking at getting this. My only concern is around the neck, if my stubble/five o clock shadow would rub along the neck.
Unfortunately, all these jackets have quite tight necks. This is to minimise draughts.
@ this is good to know prior to purchasing. Thank you!
As shown @02:20 there is a soft, plush, material arpund the chick area to provide comfort.

That’s exactly what I did, I got one in the sales when they’re trying to make space for summer stock.
Do you also find the down around the elbows to migrate? mine has sagged to the back of the elbow and none is left on my inner elbow.
Quality review. 🙌🏻
Cheers 👍
@@BackpackingUK what trousers are you wearing in this video please?

It depends if you’re still or active. Either way, -10 you’d be freezing cold! You need the full version for those temps 👍

Doh! Thanks for the heads up! I got this jacket for £165. I love a bargain!
@@BackpackingUK Good deal, I will keep an eye out, …it’s freezing this morning!
What size do you wear?
Small, I’m 5’8” 173cm. 👍
Amazon has it for $219.
Good stuff but prefer swedteam neither are primark prices but quality and lasts years
I’ll check them out 👍
If it’s as good as their tents,it’s great.
But Decathlon do something similar for £49.99…
Don't get me wrong, there are lots of budget jackets that are great too!
@@BackpackingUK I must admit though, Andy, that one you have, is smart.
Stay well.

Out of interest, why did you watch this video if you’re so against down?
This down is plucked out of a dead bird going to be eaten anyway. At least that’s Fjällravens proposal.
I do agree with you but rds certified down is at least plucked from a dead bird instead of a living one.
some people like to eat birds you know
