This is one of my favorite themes in the entire game. I don't understand how David Wise managed to create something that's so upbeat and happy, yet beautiful and emotional at the same time! Themes like this one is why David Wise is my favorite game composer of all time.

I agree, I listen to this every couple of weeks and I just feel so moved.
I consider this piece to be worthy of being part of my ultimate playlist. I've beaten DKCT a few times, and I don't particularly love Wing Ding. Instead, I love Twilight Terror, Sawmill Thrill, and every temple. However, I consider the song from Wing Ding to be superb. It is among the best in the game. I'd give it second place, if not first.

This is my favourite track of the whole soundtrack and one of the best tracks I have heard in a videogame soundtrack ever. It's just a perfect combination of a catchy melody, a great rythm and enotional atmosphere... If there is a world for describe this track would be "beautyful". There are some parts that really makes me want to cry becouse of how deep and emotive this song can go...
The best thing is that all the different music versions of this song are playing, when you arrive in each area, I remember starting by this level when I have started hard mode, since it was my personal level, I have finished on the first try with all the letter KONG, it was a great sentiment and at that moment I thought "this is my personal favorite level of all DK games" ^^ Also the same theme is used in the ending song of the game, that I'm in love as well.

There is actually three more versions of this song- 1.) the windmill, 2.) the platform in front of the barrel that shoots you into said windmill, 3.) inside the barrel itself. Pure Genius.

I wish so bad that this was at least a 10 minute long journey! That ending bit feels so much like it’s the calm before a truly life changing storm but then it just ends... Still I’m infinitely grateful for the masterpiece we got in this!

What, seriously?? I just thought I hadn't unlocked the rest. Why would they only give you a few rather than all of them??! We do own the game after all, and you can turn off sound effects to just listen to the music in the level.

christoferkk Grassland Groove hasn't been taken because it has like 5 different versions in it. Music always changes through the stage, difficult to make an audio out of it.

Didn't realise until now that this song starting at 2:00 has a remix of Mountain Mania (from about 1:51).
I love that David Wise managed to fit in so many rearrangements of the same song over different levels and still have them feel completely original.

DKCTF has more tunes and more work went into the soundtrack. The combination of modern sounds and classic DKC sounds makes it the best among the DKC franchise.
In my opinion the soundtracks go (from worst to best) DKC3, Returns, DKC1, DKC2, and Tropical Freeze. Tropical Freeze just BARELY beats DKC2 IMO

Hmm, you'll have to ask me again in like 10 years. DKC2 has the "nostalgia bias" going for it while DKCTF has the "recency bias" going for it.
Quantity wise, it seems like for me DKCTF has the most (in terms of songs I absolutely love). DKC2 is one of my favorite games, but if I removed my nostalgia I may just have to pick TF. ;) The only thing that pissed me off was not using stickerbrush symphony on "Bramble Scramble", and instead using it for the first 10 and a half seconds of Twilight Terror, Lmao.
