Harstems new strategy: the enemy can't know what im doing, if i don't know it myself.
The ultimate mind game would be to start the game going ground army while doing double-cyber upgrades (bonus points if you do all the fleet beacon upgrades too). Then when you're 3/3, you make a mass switch to air. If the game goes even longer than that, maybe you go double forge and then switch back to ground.

BGWSS challenge:
Variation on only harassment : The Kitchen Sink. Do a list of all the ways you can harass, Mine drops, regular drops, mine run bys, liberators, landed vikings, banshees, battlecrusers, helion run bys, anything you can think of and try to do all of them in one match. You can attack or defend as you like but you must complite the list you make for yourself. You can do this for all 3 races.

Beat enemy with siege tank but it's a WOL version without research siege mode

I tried to jump into some SC2 today, played 5 games 1v1 and got completely shredded. I'm used to play super slow and casual WC3 with my cousins like 15 years ago
I'm not really getting what I can do to improve so I just play against KI and try to have fun : D but I still like to watch pro gameplay, very funny and entertaining
Learn the basic build order, continue to make workers until you hit 60-80, don't get supply blocked(make a pylon/depot/overlord) a few supply before you're about to be blocked, and spend your resources. With all of this you can hit diamond with decent macro
Look into VIBE's Bronze to GM (B2GM) series. Replay the campaign (if you own any of them) to get used to the hotkeys, if you feel like it, or mess around in custom bot games, then just listen to VIBE. You should get into gold within a couple weeks at the worst, if you play a couple games a day looking to improve.

Idea for the next "Beating grandmasters with stupid stuff" - Pure Zerg Casters (maybe with a supplementary rule of up to 20 Supply normal units so you can get to the end game casters without being 1/2 Base all-ined).
- Queens
- Infestors
- Swarm Hosts
- Vipers
- I would argue and say due to the mechanics, Corruptors would count as a "Caster" (they can vomit on buildings which is a "spell"), also allows map mobility without being dependant on Brenda to slow walk across the map with her Creep.
that first game was a super bamboozle
maybe extend on the idea by not only confusing your enemy but by trying to bait him into thinking you're building a specific unit, so he trys to counter it, but in reality you're building the counter to THAT. You could for example build a fake production proxy directly at his natural - show it to your enemy - when he's gone and the buildings are almost done: cancel them all and use the resources to build said counter to the counter of your bait. Beating GrandMasters by being another step ahead. Or in short: Beating Brandmasters By Being BigBrain.

Ideas for stupid stuff. 1) You can only build your base inside your opponents main base anywhere past the top of the ramp. You get extra points if you can mine their main mineral patch. 2) Nukes Only. I've seen you go mass ghost but mass nuke is where it's at. 3) Tower Defense. I am a very defense heavy player. Idk what that really means but it translates to me building a ton of bunkers, siege tanks, mines, canons , spines crawlers ect... I love 2v2s where i just go mass cannon it's stupid. Anyways Love the stupid stuff and your 1v2s .

the biggest counter to mind games is being oblivious to the mind games being played.

BGWSS idea - use overseers to contaminate as much as possible, delaying production, upgrades, etc.

Use the sentry hallucination to make your opponent believe that your build is going a certain direction (e.g. two Phonixes = Skytoss). Your opponent will build a hard counter to the hallucination and you build a hard counter to his hard counter. Insta-Win.
Starcraft doesn't work in hardcounters. You adjust your build, but don't completely change it up.
That first game was brilliant
Idea: Attack with 200 supply army. Meaning you dispose of your workers before the attack and use the resources you have in your bank to build up to 200. You are allowed to rebuild workers after reaching 200 and losing some units.

Save the environment! Your opponent is taking too much gas! Defeat your opponent by stopping that greedy poluter from taking more gas while using as little as possible for yourself

Hi harstem. I don't play SC2 but I still have been watching all your videos. I use to play sc1 a lot but i never had friends to play SC2 with. I really want to play but am so bad and lost at the game. There isn't many recent beginners guides on how to play. Can you consider making a Video on how to learn to play SC2?

His last opponent was Kas, I don't think he was maphacking.
Imagine calling ex pro player Kas a maphacker or a clueless player.
How about a Mi casa es tu casa build? Ie: build your base in your opponent's base?
Beat your opponent with building only planetary fortresses first at every mineral patch then every where else you can afford so he runs out of minerals and move possibilities. Air defense is allowed

I feel like you should do this one while stream sniping and then ask the streamers if you can include their thoughts in the video so we can tell if the mind games are working.
If you fake proxy a pylon and then pretend to all in on one base until you actual proxy a nexus...that's just an all in minus a 100 minerals? :D
