I finally decided to do the sharpie technique on my mafex Spider-Man. I must say that turned out quite well. I was worried using a sharpie on the figure would ruin it. But ultimately I got really sick of seeing the fading on the torso and just went for it. I also justified doing it with the knowledge that the marvel legends NWH version will be coming out anyway, what do I have to lose? So I went for it. I was surprised with how well it turned out.

Does the pen ink stay or is it not permanent? When you put the ink on the figure did it feel sticky?

Not really, just the hands, but if you put matte spray sealer it won’t
