By the way the real paint problem i think is in the red as it should be brighter, in the movie he looks so cool cause brightness, red is the hardest color to pull cinematically cause it either goes orange (warm light ) or purple (bluelight) perfect customs man, I did enjoy the full video
Thank you so much! The red is definitely a bit dull on the figures. I think Andrews was the closest figure to movie accurate but definitely still had some issues. I repainted the red on mine as a personal thing recently 😅
You should 3D print the missing hands that Hasbro didn’t put for the remakes of the no way home 3 pack, cause I would buy them for Andrew because I really want that figure cause I didn’t get the original and it sucks how they didn’t give him his full accessories for the remake.
Paint job looks good. How did you pop off the torso even with hot water I still can't pop off mine, by the way for Tamiya Acrylic paints I suggest thinning them with a drop of water to get the right consistency and become blobby.
Thank you, I show it in my first upgrade video, it took a lot of work, I had to use a rotary tool to reduce the walls. I used nail polish remover to thin down the paint, I would usually use acetone based but the stuff I used was acetone free so I don't think it works properly. Experiment gone wrong 🤷♂️
@@CraftyGecko yeah don't use acetone for Tamiya Acrylic paints you should use a drop of water to thin it down or use the Tamiya Acrylic thinner to thin it.
Thanks so much for the shoulder tip, im going to try it on tobey cause articualtion there is pretty much useless and i really would love that extra range

I come back to this video from time to time because I love the articulation upgrades & how the blue turned out. I FINALLY have this figure, but not the tools to upgrade the articulation. I'm thinking of repainting the entire figure, the red sections, blue sections, webs & the soles. But I don't wish to ruin it with a bad paint job that ultimately feels sticky. I need some quality paint that's accurate to TASM 2, sticks well to the figure & isn't overpriced.
@@CraftyGecko Is citadel red paint good for repainting the entire TASM 2 Marvel legends figure? I want this to be the best custom of my life. I want to repaint the entire figure. This includes the red sections, symbols, blue sections, cobweb pattern & even the soles.
@@CraftyGecko Would you recommend the Tamiya Acrylic Mini X27 Clear Red paint for repainting the TASM 2 Marvel Legends Legends figure? Please respond as soon as you get a chance. It's a important question because I'm looking for quality paint at a affordable price, not settling for leeser quality this time. I need to make sure it won't feel sticky when dried, & won't require more than 2 coats max. Also what brand paint brushes would you recommend for painting thin web lines like the ones on the TASM 2 ML figure? I ask because I'm looking for paint brushes that won't be damaged within the first 3 days of being used, & will evenly distribute paint across the figure.
I accidentally scraped some blue paint while upgrading mine. Unfortunately couldn't get the torso off, but that's kinda whatever for now. Like I was saying I scraped the blue, but I recently got into painting warhammer and used the blue and black from the space marien starter set to almost perfectly match the blue of the figure.
I wish it could get the range of the AF spiderman, since with the torso mod he can bend all the way down , to the point he can touch his chest with the knee
Yeah, normally I get bad comments about "damaging" the figures by doing too much, never thought someone use the n word over me not painting something blue 😅
So I’ve just bought thousand sons blue from my craft shop and I’ve attempted painting the figure but it’s too bright. Did you mix some black in the blue?
@@CraftyGecko I don't mean to be a hassle or anything but the video you linked doesn't showcase how to remove the shoulder joint Great set of videos though-I really enjoy your content

@@CraftyGecko awesome, can’t wait to see it. Perfect timing with the single releases coming soon so I won’t mind modifying them. Is the butterfly joint loose? I remember some figures had loose ones after cutting the peg
The top of the boot isn't a straight line, it has a curve which means I would either have to cut more into the blue or it wouldn't rotate properly, cutting along the straight web line helps to keep it more seamless
Andrew Garfield is my favorite version of Spider Man and I can't wait to get the single release with the Andrew Garfield unmasked headsculpt plus I'm thinking of customizing the shade of blue.

I explained it in the first modification video I did: th-cam.com/video/ikOek3ahVGk/w-d-xo.html

So I’ve just bought thousand sons blue from my craft shop and I’ve attempted painting the figure but it’s too bright. Did you mix some black in the blue?
At 3:58 I show the black and silver that I used with the blue
Was curious do you just use wire for the toe articulation?
I have other videos on the toe articulation but it's a thin metal rod that runs through both parts

what about the leg joints? ive seen people breaking their andrews and tobeys :/
This is the 3 pack version, the single releases are the ones with leg problems. My recent videos on the final swing suit cover how to fix these joints
Why does the thousand blue looks soo bright on my end ??
