I actually think Madonna has a pretty and unique voice. I find it soothing to listen to, especially her ballads, I know for a fact that others agree. Her voice is extremely adaptable suiting various songs. She has a character voice that has a way pulling you in. She does not strain her vocals like many other female singers. That fact has actually enabled her to preserve her vocal chords all these years. That's a fact, I've read. She is also a skilled dancer. The prob with Madonna that she lost her mum when she was very young. She felt that she had to be strong & protective of her siblings, and responsible beyond her years. She was raised with a step mother and too many siblings in a poor neighbourhood: as far as I remember from her life story. Women who experience things like that usually grow strong, and often confuse strength with harshness. So I think coming from where she came from, she still did well.

In EVERY role she's ever played, she just SHINES. She elevates everyone else's performance in the cast as well. And, she's held her own acting against Meryl Streep TWICE. I don't think we'll EVER see Madonna do THAT in particular. Perhaps she came close in Evita, and Harvey Keitel got interesting things out of her in Dangerous Game (which is probably her BEST acting) but that STILL couldn't touch Cher's level of performances. Cher's acting talent is indisputable no matter WHAT she's been in. I ❤️ her as an actress. It's the BEST part of who she is as a performer.

Madonna is more hits than Cher, even though Cher has a longer career. Both are insanely iconic and have maintained cultural relevance for extremely long periods of time. THey both are talented and are better at different things. If they focused on their similarities, they would probably be pretty good friends. Madonna is rude- but that’s part of her deal. I think she has toned it down with her maturity and growing older. I’m old enough to appreciate both. But truth be told, lady Gaga is more talented Han both of them in terms of music.

Cher always seems so approachable and giving. I don't recall in the time the limelight, press ect has been on her ever seeing her mean, rude or not having time for her fans and being thankful to the normal people; helping her reach the heights she has. I think it’s Madonna’s defense mechanism, which is to be aggressive to people so they don’t walk all over her. Men in particular have been taught this all their lives. It’s that ‘get them before they get you’ mentality. Basically I think Madonna finds it hard to trust others, particularly other celebrities.

I actually think Madonna has a pretty and unique voice. I find it soothing to listen to, especially her ballads, I know for a fact that others agree. Her voice is extremely adaptable suiting various songs. She has a character voice that has a way pulling you in. She does not strain her vocals like many other female singers. That fact has actually enabled her to preserve her vocal chords all these years. That's a fact, I've read. She is also a skilled dancer. Anyway who's to define what talent is, it certainly is not Cher or anyone elses ( not that I dislike Cher) I think talent is like beauty in the way that is in the eye of the beholder.

The prob with Madonna that she lost her mum when she was very young. She felt that she had to be strong & protective of her siblings, and responsible beyond her years. She was raised with a step mother and too many siblings in a poor neighbourhood: as far as I remember from her life story. Women who experience things like that usually grow strong, and often confuse strength with harshness. So I think coming from where she came from, she still did well.
