The reason Madonna turned out to be the biggest name in the music industry is because she stayed TRUE TO HERSELF. She doesn’t CARE what negative criticism she receives from the press or fans. She lived her life and did only what ever made her happy. And is very intelligent and SMART when it comes to THE MONEY.
agree. she is strong and focus.
Technical sound engineer. Soprano at seven years old
An absolute icon.
@@soulprosperitypioneers you know Madonna and MJ?
@@soulprosperitypioneersLiterally how did Michael look to fans for validation? He didn’t do anything but appreciate the people who made him.
She is a very intelligent lady.
She was a straight A student while a cheerleader and a guitar player, quite remarkable.
I wish I was smarter …
This is one of the most mature, classy, intelligent interviews she has done. I wish she could be in this head space the majority of time.
I agree, but we wouldn't have the amazing moments she has provided us lol
She's not dumb. She went to the University of Michigan.
@@MrAschiff and yet currently looks like a boiled egg. That’s not a sign of intelligence.
@@eccremocarpusscaber5159 Even bright people do dumb things
He constantly cuts her off in a question when she is answering perfectly well, but I love how Madonna always just lets him cut her off and just carries on with the next question. I wish I could be like that.
She was 45 or 44 here. People already called her "old". She looks fantastic, classy, mature. I miss this Madonna. 2022 Madonna is just so vacuous.
@@soulprosperitypioneers nahh. She is FAR from being the most beautiful woman. She looked good. Certainly better than how she looks now
@@soulprosperitypioneers ok. Beauty is the eye of the beholder anyways. I find that other women were way more attractive.
@@gabbyb7347i'm dissagre with you every woman is the beautiful in some way. Madonna looks so hot and beautiful in this video. She also look so gorgeous with black and brunette hair.
@@gabbyb7347 she is better looking than you.... weird how you judge someone for something you don't possess yourself
just remember shes outsold every other female and gave birth to any pop act post 1982. That gets me through my day, every day
Absolutely!!!! LONG LIVE THE QUEEN 👑 👑👑
She looks terrific here, and also she gives really great answers to someone who is really not a great interviewer... She is a very very smart woman.
Yeah its before she started all the plastic surgeries
@@jurigagarin5741
Well if she is fine with it.
She doesn't care, like she said in the interview.
It's so good in part because Larry King does a good job.
Lol Larry is one of the best SMH
@@Jantonov1 he keeps cutting her off when she speaks
It's a shame when anyone's parent dies, but I do believe that it's because of that, that Madonna went onto achieve everything she has today. She's said several times over that she'd probably be quite different if her mother had lived. Madonna has a steel exterior which has taken her so far, but you can see that she also has pain and a longing for love and, again, I think that comes from the death of her mother.
I lost my mom when I was six. Madonna and her music helped me get through as I grew up. I look up to her because she was that motherly figure I never had.
I've watched a few madonna interviews over the last few days. I have grown to respect her tremendously. I know business very well and I do not respect celebrities because they capitalize on perpetuating the disempowerment of the masses, but this is a woman who IS NOT PERFECT, but has sincerely done more to improve the world than most and though she's played by the rules of the business, she's used her position to truly change the world and though I would have made different choices, overall I find myself somewhat impressed by her.
Totally true. She is very impressive, very intelligent lady. I wouldn't won't to mess with her lol
Well put.
I think her intelligence is underrated especially since she’s labeled as a pop star and of course she is. It might have something to do with her era or her intelligence but IMO she’s head and shoulders more creative and lovable than the countless number of pop stars that ripped her off years later. I don’t like her music but I rlly like her. But I also have the biggest crush ever on her so I might be biased.
If he would just let her talk... Damn. He asks a question and before she can even finish giving her full answer, HE ASKS ANOTHER!
So annoying and rude.
Benny Flores It’s his style; he’s just eager.
Stop whining! The interview was fine and she was totally comfortable
I think he's just really excited. Jimmy and Letterman get like this too.
The only thing this woman is , is WONDERFUL
I hate when interviewers talk more than their guests.
Same
He is always like this!!
Same tbh.
Hahahahaha
A great business woman.
she looks beautiful, like all ways
This is one of the best Madonna interviews I've seen!
She was so relatable and likable for a few years during this period. She never really has been interested in approval, as she says here, but it's frustrating to admire Madonna's career and to so often find her off putting or aloof or humorless. The woman in conversation here seems so grounded and self-reflective, totally different than the Madonna of today and early in her career, who seems to be all about 'causing a commotion.'
watching this with tears in my eyes in 2022 sigh...... what happened girl..
life happened 🤓
@@effdonahue6595 life isn't 1000 mls of filler a fake botched ass job and an overdone facelift lol. That's all her choices

20 years happened....
She was very natural and grounded back then. Wasn’t it the time when she was married to Guy Ritchie? Still loved her when she did the Super Bowl Halftime Show. But from Eurovision Song Contest to today… oh, boy… 😢
She sounds really intelligent. Beautiful. Wise.
She really looks stunning here. She should look like this more often rather than trying to be 20.
Yes, I thinks this is before the major plastic surgery and face implants that she now wears....she looked better here at least human.
true she seems more like her age here than now
Jimmy Stinky she had face implants? where?
aisey100 more like ugly
No implants, just tons of filler.
I can't imagine how it would had been not growing up dancing, reading hearing and watching Madonna.. Thank you Madonna for being in my life. I'm looking forward to hearing and watching more Madonna.
She puts on a amazing concert. Madonna and Janet Jackson are the Best Live Entertainers ever. Both so Gorgeous & Unbelievably Talented
+Jonathan Ballard i also like kylie minogue seeing in concert, she is amazing
And whitney houston
She looked incredible in that interview. She's also very dignified and intelligent, but she was a cheerleader in high school and you need to have a 4.0 grade point average to do that.
Lol , no, you don't need a 4.0 GPA to be a cheerleader
Madonna looks well.
bravo
Not that I'm a fan of Guy Ritchie, because I thought that BMW ad was humiliating, and it seems he treated her poorly during "Swept away", but she seemed happier than ever when she was married to him. She was calm, balanced and classy. She looked incredibly good and her wardrobe was a lot better. He seemed to have a good influence on her.
It seems to me she was trying her best to last and enjoy that relationship. Maybe the idea of being married with children was unconsciously attractive to her.
omg i didn't know madonna was from Detroit!!! Yet another MAJOR STAR that came out of my great city!
She's from Bay City but she's ashamed to admit it
She looked so classy and comfortable here.
Great interview. She's beautiful, talented and one sharp cookie. I don't believe for a minute though that marketing "Madonna" as one name was by accident, or simply the result of Madonna Ciccone; it was VERY intentional.
Agree. The MTV appearance she referenced was planned, rehearsed, etc.
@@ranlive1 I thought the MTV performance was a result of a wardrobe malfunction? She kicks off her shoes before getting off of the wedding cake, and rolls on the ground to pick them up (we are discussing the 1984 Like a Virgin performance right--)
@@sandfire1255 At the '84 MTV VMA, she deliberately kicks off both pumps in order to safely climb down the fake cake. Once on the ground, she locates both shoes and puts them back on. I think at the last minute she realized the life-sized wedding cake was too steep and dangerous for heels/pumps. Rolling around on stage with dress up, panties/garter tops showing, humping the stage 'in heat', was no accident...it was a brilliant move to set her apart from everyone else. th-cam.com/video/gkSxhG4cbPo/w-d-xo.html
I love that. "It's Important to see the end in the beginning." Quote by Madonna. I just totally totally love this chick. I love her now and from the moment I met her and every moment in between.
Madonna is my Queen and I'm going to see her live in December! I still cannot believe I'm going to be in the same room as the worlds most famous Star!!
How was the concert years ago? Where was it?
This woman has a lot of sense and wisdom.
Madonna's beauty is so hard to beat. I always found her otherworldly.
Madonna looks so good here. Like a real woman. So well spoken and sweet too.
Damn good interview. I like the color of her suit outfit and the space in between her front teeth is lovely.
Shallow
+damo damo lol
Yeah me too. Love her signature gap. So sexy!
Her teeth look nice actually. It males her smile look so nice. So real
Wow, it's crazy to see her here. She's an entirely different personality to her 2022 personality.
I think she's currently just doing her old tactics of being a provocateur. She always does that and then she turns around and does interviews like this where she is much more human and vulnerable. And to be fair it's worked well for her. When she goes too far with the narcissism, she eventually dials it down.
She's always calm and collected in interviews.
Great interview, I like seeing Madonna as open and as comfortable as she is here.
if her mother had lived Madonna probably wouldn't have become a star. Her mother's death drove her crazy
Imagine the way the world would have ended up. I feel sorry for her heartbreak but for this we are all so lucky and much better off.
1:20 that pic of her father is from the Arsenio Hall show. The 1 where Madonna and Rosey O'Donnell were on together
I miss this Madonna without any plastic surgery
She looks way better here then she did in swept away i just watched it thats why Im watching this. She got soemthing done cause she looks 50 plus in the movie and looks perfect here.
This Lady is so smart and beautiful love all her work thru this decades wow AMAZING!
She's a VERY eccentric unusual mysterious lady BUT who likes Normal? Certainly not me. NORMAL SCARES ME. Madonna is artistic, wacky, unforgiving, stubborn, controversial, hardworking (and hard-work!), a true musical Diva, BUT she is also incredibly gifted & devoted to her art. Love or Hate her - she is one in a million and has made her mark in this mysterious universe. The world will NEVER forget Madonna.
Larry King is really not good here in this interview. He asks her questions and doesn't let her finish her answers and cuts her off before she can finish. Borderline rude to her. Madonna here is mature, open and honest. Not trying to get attention. She speaks very well here.
Larry King does that to everybody. It's so annoying.
Aaah such a lovely interview, I love you Madonna!
I love how real she is
Undoubtedly, the Queen of Pop! 👸🏼♥️♥️♥️
Wish this interview was longer. She looks really beautiful here. I like the fact that she's not doing her typical "maniacal blinking" thing and is actually and surprisingly maintaining eye contact with Larry in this interview! :)
¡Madonna es una persona muy agradable!
Madonna is a really nice person! who cares, I just practicing my Spanish.
She’s a lady who doesn’t let people control her and she knows what she wants and she knows how to get it
Madonna looks pretty here.
This is her natural state no surgery and it looks real . And this interview seems real . Looks like she is talking to her dad !!!
What a great interview!
Is that the entire interview seems pretty short thanks for uploading
I love it when She says Her own name ♥
I can’t stand her sometimes ... SO BEAUTIFUL AND SO SMART ... TALENTED ... ETC ... 😻😻😻🔥🔥🔥💜💜💜
Awesome interview! Very smooth - lovable - and real!
Could you imagine if this Madonna met the Madonna of today?
Such a great comment!!
I wondered what would Ray of Light era Madonna would say to the Madonna of today.
I saw her in the west end on stage, my sister took me. It was weird being so close to her. Her eyes are striking and they are the first thing you'll notice. Wide-set and large.
She is a modern day Cleopatra.
Her eyelash curlers are made of solid gold!
Her beauty is awe striking
Like an ancient beauty, lost long ago..
Best madonna interview I've ever seen.
I really hope to see her live this year.
I love Madonna. And I love throughout the interview she's laughing at her own jokes.
she was gorgeous back then when she had a human face
she's got such a cute and sexy voice.
She looks stunning edit: actually madonna in her 40s was her prime, looks wise to me. I think she looked kinda awkward or something in her 20s and 30s but her 40s were so gorgeous.
Yes, her Guy Ritchie era (2000-2008) was THE BEST she ever looked, she was so classy and sophisticated at that time, 1996-1999 were amazing years style-wise too, sadly she was been a trainwreck post-2017.
@@Juandomngzi think she really loved richie

She look d awkward in 20’ & 30’s?? You’re completely out of your mind, she was absolutely stunning.

How do you know .. You Dont even know her .. its all Media
she is so sweet and well spoken!
Great interview!
She was so beautiful, elegant and relaxed during this interview. I wish she understood that she could still be a refined middle-aged woman without all the mess she's making with her image and behaviour nowadays.
he does a great job interviewing her here and before (twice). not sure if this was when she was married to Guy but I think she looks and appears the most relaxed. Love the outfit
Fantasticaaaaaaa
great quality
In my opinion, this is one of the best interviews she's given.
QUEEN OF POP
I always love listening to M.
World Class!! She is timeless..
Madonna so brilliant and beautiful here
She is so brutally honest about herself, as real as it gets as well as beautiful. Rare in Hollywood.
“Its important to see the end in the beginning”. Wow. Just wow. 3:13
she's so lovely
It was sort of sad hearing her say she needed police barricades to get her out of the theatre venue back then. I waited to see her after one of her Madame X Tour shows this October and there were only a few of us fans waiting at the stage door. Maybe 50ish, idk. Possibly less. I expected a lot more madness. It was very calm.
She looks so good here!
I call her one of the greatest icons of 21 century
Does it exist in full?
ah I just love her, always
Lol I like the way she says her last name at the beginning
Shes great
Smart business woman
When she stated to talk about theater i just thought about the Madame X tour.
In 2011, Madonna's older brother, Anthony Ciccone, revealed he had been living under a Michigan bridge for a year and a half after losing his job at his dad's vineyard. "My family turned their back on me, basically, when I was having a hard time," he told the Daily Mail. "You think I haven’t answered this question a bazillion times - why my sister is a multi-bazillionaire and I’m homeless on the street? Never say never. This could happen to anybody."
Am I crazy or they had the exact same conversation in the 1999 interview?
Well put!
Why does he blurt so much
Well she was respectful with him.
None of her usual spice and sarcasm.
Gosh she was so nice and beautiful here in and out
Yes. She does have that accent... very subtle.
I don't want no lies
I don't watch TV
I don't waste my time
Won't read a magazine
That's what she says in this interview and she will write a song with this lyrics after
I wish this Madonna would be here more these days. She was more balanced then.
I love her so much
Yeah- Living in the Moment!
Wow I Love the Queen she's amazing
