Basic football questions were like trying get blood out of turnips..a whole lot of textbook coach speak as you said. So refreshing having a true, genuine leader representing OUr University.

    I'm a LONGHORN. Been one for 40 years. I wasn't too worried about OU in 22 because of their dis array. But after watching this, you have something going on here in Norman. Brent is bringing something here that will absolutely make champions . What a fantastic vision. What a heart for his players !!! Gonna see some Big things come out of OU. Gonna see some true young MEN developed. What a GREAT HIRE FOR THE SOONERS !!!

But at the same time it felt like we were letting the best guy go. Listening to him now makes me believe that OU will benefit from his time at Clemson so much that it seems to be the way it was supposed to work out.

    I think the real question is how will you treat this man if he doesn't live up to the hype and expectations? College football is a buisness unfortunately but if things go south yall better show this man the same respect and kindness that he's shown us and this program, no need to be 🤡.

    • @Gutslinger
      @Gutslinger 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly my sentiments. Keep seeing people who are seemingly hyping the team up to the extreme. Reminds me of last offseason. Then we saw how fans started reacting when we were quite living up to the expectations that THEY set, despite us not losing a game yet..
      Our fanbase is the most active on Twitter, which is a con in many ways, because criticisms and drama is going to be amplified WAY more than it would be for other teams.
      I'm, personally, not going to set any major expectations. I'll just remain patient and hopeful for the best.

Questions that either never got asked or answered. Lincoln was a good offensive coach especially in scheme and play design but he never seemed to grasp strategy. He never was very good at making adjustments. This just feels right. Brent feels like a Sooner and is so excited to have the honor of leading this great program. We are 100% behind you coach. We were playing poorly this year. Offense was lackluster, defense had regressed again and thoughts of Riley wasting the chance he had been given. Not happy how he snuck out of town and the ditch he left us in. Fast forward to where we are with Brent, total difference, imagine a dynamic offense matched with a defense that will smack you senseless? His attitude and energy will be infectious. I can’t be more thrilled that this man is our head coach. He speaks and coaches with infectious energy and intellect. This program is going to force young men into becoming MEN.

    Here how he described recruiting Jaren ...told him he might leave for Oklahoma.... but he should STILL should go to Clemson. He's the polar opposite of Riley. His subtle shade at Riley and Roy Manning of USC is fair and justified.

    Kids today need to know, yes, life is fast, but you have a long time to figure out what you are actually BEST at. Once you know what YOU are really BEST at. Put everything you got into it. And you have to know, sometimes. who you want to be, is not who you truly are. Once you know who you truly are, only then you can you really become the best at your craft. What I'm saying is sometimes the speed of the game can make YOU make a quick decision. and it ends up being a decision that ruined yourself.
    College football fans don't like it when players land in a dead end spot. We just want to see success at what what YOU are best at. Trust the coaches. They may go work somewhere else, but their job doesn't change. They are here for a reason too, and its to mold the future and to guide you in the best way they have known to do in the 20 plus years that they have been doing this. The game is fast, but listen to the old heads. Don't make a fast head decision on a slow heads game .

    There is a reason why TBV has been successful
    as a person/coach.There is a reason why we are
    fans , asking questions, and getting bent out of
    shape because of transition,misdirection,and re
    -direction 😉😏🤭🙃🙂

    I wonder how many guys have entered the transfer portal because they're having a fight with their girlfriends? That's how unstable this is right now.

    Lincoln would never consider that his offense created huge challenge for defense. Brent understands without an attacking and physical defense you can't win championships.
