Top five Stone Circles of Cumbria

Cumbria is also well-known for its prehistoric marvels including the stone circles. These ancient stone circles were built during the late Neolithic and early bronze age, going back to 3000 BC. The purpose of these stones is unclear to date. Here you see the top five in my opinion. I find these remarkably intact megalithic structures more fascinating than the Stone Henge.
