2:03 Spazio bed - I'd like this, but mostly without the top bed (in red). Just the desk and the bed drawer. Downside is though, if you sit at a desk, you want your legs under it. So it'd be better if the top layer (desk) can be pulled as well to the front so you don't have to bend over when you're behind your laptop or reading a book.
Now my mine is racing thinking of all the possibilities of a murphy tub. Maybe there could be a stay level composting toilet get slips under the floor when the tub is pulled up? I don't know, what are people least likely to need when they're using a bathtub?

I have a table similar to the first dining table. They sell chairs that fold flat and take up maybe 2” of depth. They show them hanging on the wall or in a closet. Some of the tables store the chairs inside. My table is similar to the Box table, going up and down on crossed legs. Mine does not store leafs inside. Instead, my tabletop is double stacked. I slide the table around 90 degrees, then open it like a book. It doubles in size. We use the sofa as a banquet seat and bring up dining chairs from the basement for the other three sides. Fits six nicely. Costs about $2000. Made in Italy. It gives us a dining table again. I put a big island in the kitchen with stools along the long side, so four can sit there comfortably. Now we also have a dining space again. Our house never had a dining room, just a space in the kitchen for a table (before I put the island there).
I liked the last Murphy bed with the gold surround. Most Murphy’s pull straight out and if floor space is limited pulling out the bed takes up any space. This bed pulls out north/south and uses less room. With people moving into Tiny Houses or other alternative living arrangements this model only uses the width of the bed rather then the length. Plus it’s in a single bed size! Don’t bother looking it up on the internet. Everything is in Italian so you don’t know what it says!!

Folding bunk beds in this video don't look very safe. I would do them differently, with many inherently failsafe design decisions, or abandon the idea of a folding bunk bed all together. It doesn't mean I don't believe the idea of a Murphy bed, but I would rather make one myself, with rounded bed frame corners, legs under the mattress instead of on the sides, mattress being wider than the frame, maybe some parts with dampers, and also I would put mattress higher. It should also have good cable management, usb and electric outlets, especially if it transforms into a desk. I have seen some designs which are brilliant, but all doesn't look so great as you realize you need cables to plug all that stuff up. The moveable bathtub is the only one that does not make sense to me. I can't imagine how the plumbing will work and when it is stored upright - is sewer gases going to seep into the room?
The irony is even deeper. Did you know the only country these great products are available for sale in is Costa Rica. I emailed them and got the information. They don't ship to the USA.
To make such a “furniture” practical necessitates aero-space quality of materials and equally superior quality of details workmanship. Thus it would be very dear. Otherwise the cheap version will fall apart in some weeks or months.
Agreed. There are so many moving parts to fail and hinges and joints to loosen. If you have double or triple duty furniture, it is getting way more wear and tear than single purpose furniture so much much heavier wear.
I don't see how murphy beds save space. When its in the upright position you have to have everything cleared out in front of it, and there's no space for storage that you probably would have under a normal bed. I think the bed that drops down from the ceiling is a better idea , but what if it suddenly stops working just as your reading to sleep? Your stuck sleeping on the floor unless you have another bed somewhere. The only one's I see as usefull are the one's that convert from a couch or desk. The space in front of those are usually cleared out anyway, except maybe a coffee table.
At 18 I had an studio apartment, that had a Murphy bed. It was great, because when friends would stop by to study, visit or just to say hi, they didn’t have to sit in my bedroom. (A bedroom is a very intimate setting) they sat in a room that appeared to be a living room.
Almost all beds are for short people. Once you grow to 6', 183 cm, too many parts of you hang off uncomfortably.beds should always be minimum 92", and i have known many guys beyond that. I sleep on floor due to the bed design problem.
Foldaway beds and sofa beds seem like a great idea, but I wouldn't want to have to have one. People sweat and mattresses need to breathe. If you're putting your mattress up against a wall, that's not going to happen and the idea of guests' sweating on my sofa ... yuk!
None of these are new inventions, they are just copied from the originals that were invented decades ago and some even centuries ago. The fold down Murphy stile tub was actually invented in 1880 by Mosely, infact Bruschke & Ricke’s invented the concealed Sofa and Bathtub during the same period. The Antique Expandomatic table went from 1 foot wide to 6 feet long, created in the 1920's by Saginaw. There was even a wood Folding Bakers Rack invented around during the Victorian Era. Even the wood and canvas Accordion folding Officers bed used by the military during the Civil War among the very versatile and compact furniture invented as far back as the 18th century, the great thing is they have lasted for over 100 to 200 years unlike the pieces made today that will be lucky to have a 20 year life span before falling apart.

See my top-level comment about the fold down Tub
Also, if there is room to store a fold up tub there is room for a separate tub and shower. The tub/shower combo is already a space saving unit.
Automated murphy beds: for people who read "The Cask of Amontillado" and thought, "that sounds _fun!"_ 😉
👍👍👍👍👍
Where's Foldable Bath Tub in the thumb nail??
I need help. I have a small condo but I need storage.
But they never say where you can buy this stuff.
The irony is even deeper. Did you know the only country these great products are available for sale in is Costa Rica. I emailed them and got the information. They don't ship to the USA.
The people who have this stuff don't need it. They got plenty of space. And can afford specialized built-in options.
Whwere to dind them
😮
Where could I get it in India, especially in kerala
To make such a “furniture” practical necessitates aero-space quality of materials and equally superior quality of details workmanship. Thus it would be very dear. Otherwise the cheap version will fall apart in some weeks or months.
Agreed. There are so many moving parts to fail and hinges and joints to loosen. If you have double or triple duty furniture, it is getting way more wear and tear than single purpose furniture so much much heavier wear.
1:48 roma pull out
the tub its a no.
Roma bed is a futon. That's it. It's a futon.

Almost all beds are for short people.
Once you grow to 6', 183 cm, too many parts of you hang off uncomfortably.beds should always be minimum 92", and i have known many guys beyond that.
I sleep on floor due to the bed design problem.
rich man don't buy
poor man can't afford
Wait untill IKEA put out their versions... didn't they? Sort of?
Enlightening, thanks for sharing!
It’s so expensive tho
👍 JYT
Why post video’s of furniture and then do not provide information on where to buy? I went to their website, NOTHING! What a scam! I wanted to see the prices.
