You forgot the pineapple juice! Jollibee is a bit salty but everything makes sense when one includes rice into the mix. Pour gravy over rice and the salty chicken becomes absolutely magical. It's been a while but I'm going to get myself some Jollibee today!
Yah ikr, I'm totally going to Jollibees today now. I've never seen this pineapple juice though. Only coke and royale and tea...sounds like I'm missing out!
@@JohnSoh What! I would have thought pineapple juice was a standard fare at Jollibee. It's pineapple juice but sweeter, less pulp, a bit soft drink like. Whatever it is, it goes down easy and cool.
I WAS SEARCHING FOR THIS COMMENT SECTION. If someone didn’t already commented about it, I would’ve gone “ITALIANS, REUNIONS!” That’s the same for me, I’m from mid-south, mid-north and middle Italy and I’ve never, ever heard of fried chicken and spaghetti, not even chicken and spaghetti.
Really? Then, is the price as low as that and does the children buy a lot? I am Korean and I am curious because there is no Jollibee in my country. Because in our country, fast food restaurants don't make children's food sweeter!
@@DoRuby Yes it is cheap but not every kids can afford it so they go for cheaper foods and probably other sweets. . It costs around 50 pesos or less than 1200 korean won. Filipinos usually likes sweets, i dont know how it started but we really do like sweets. Our mcdonalds even has spaghetti and it is sweet too but not as sweet as jollibee. Our noodles even has a SWEET and spicy flavor. Our snacks and junkfoods has sweet flavors too. Many of our dishes are also sweets even some soup. It's like, if korean like spicy Filipino on the other hand likes sweets. Our fastfoods offers a lot to children thats why we have mcdonalds happy meal(food with TOYS) and jollibee has a version of it too. Though me personally, even i grew up eating jollibee spaghetti i probably go for an Italian spaghetti because maybe my tastebuds dont likes sweets anymore. 😂
@@DoRuby It's not the children who buys them but the parents. They buy them because it's what the kids like, sweet and meaty with hotdogs, and it's pretty cheap for a meal (about 1USD). It's a good startegy because once the kids grow up and have their own children, they remember the taste of Jollibee and thus, they bring their own family to Jollibee to introduce the taste they once loved.
In Italy "parmigiana" which I guess is parmesan, it's only made with eggplant, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese on top. There's a variation in which courgettes are used instead of eggplants, but that's as far as it goes
I'm so glad you guys loved Chickenjoy! Would have been a deal breaker for me if you guys didn't. LMAO And as I'm about 2 years late, I know a lot of people said it but we don't have chicken strips here. 😋 Really enjoyed this, though! I wish you guys would come visit after the pandemic.
As a Filipina, i was just simply happy Jly reacted to this. Come on guys! They are British and Gabbie is Korean. They all travelled and lived in many places but their palate is accustomed with Korean & British foods. The spaghetti will be a shock. The chicken will be marvellous to them! The others would be a disappointment. There would be a difference not just to the foods they’re used to but also to their personal preference. Jollibee’s menu is mostly for kids, thus the sweetness of each items. I honestly didn’t like Jollibee at first but when i grew up I missed the flavor. Jollibee was a price or a reward to Filipinos in a way that we go there rarely (at least for me). If they got used to it, they will like it! P.S. it still hurts me when they said they were disappointed and ate the rice like that😅 but it is a reaction!
True. I prefer HONEST reactions. Agree it takes a while for people to appreciate other foods they do not normally eat. If you haven’t seen the videos of Tribal people eating new foods, check it out. Appreciate how food can bring people together if viewed with an open mind.
I only eat Jollibee fried chicken among the fast food fried chicken joints, but yeah, the sides are mostly mediocre. As you said, you can taste it's meant to satisfy children's palate more. The chicken is freak'n amazing though, especially at fast food convenience and price, can't be beat. I mean, if the chicken works in a chicken place, mission accomplished as far as I'm concerned.
@Rocci Alvarez Can't take any criticism and sarcasm is an insult to them. Josh and ollie love most of what they order, they like the chicken. Im Filo but I like the chicken and spaghetti that's it the rest of the menu is shit.
Oh wow that’s heaven for Filipinos? Lol Incase if I date any Filipinos I would just feed the guy only chicken, white rice and gravy. Which would be so easy for me to cook and il eat the other best food in the world. 😂😂 I guess you people haven’t tried other type of foods so that’s why you call it heaven for Filipinos. 😂😂😂😂
Gee FYI I don’t cook coz I got servants to do that. I never commented bad about the chicken coz I tried it and I liked it. First of all read what I said again and understand what I meant 😂😂 it’s about the food heaven and not about my cooking skills 😂😂 your so lame.
Yeeeeees they should definitely try the Peach Mango Pie on their own time. I don't know about the Jollibee Halo-Halo though. They should try the real thing before they dive into fastfood halo-halo 😂😅
When I went to the US I was craving for Jollibee and I went to try the chicken tenders and it's just alright not that good compared to the whole chicken but it's alright
I'm glad you finally experience the chicken joy ❤️ But what is this about Gabie being Korean master chef and graduated from Cordon Bleu??? Oh woooww... Gabie... Respect!
lmao. the fact that liked the rice is so funny because most people in the Philippines cooks rice that way that's why jollibee made it like that to suit the filipino palette
As a Filipino guy I'm the Philippines 😁 they have Spaghetti and coke combo maybe once a month and it's cheap that combo for 50 pesos equivalent to 1 dollar
Those gravy... it's HUGE!! In the Philippines, they sell it probably less than 1/8 of the size of that gravy you have. PS: I am well aware they bought a bucket. But in the Philippines, the gravy included in the Jollibee bucket is still smaller/fewer than they featured here from the UK.
There's one near me; I went in once and got a hot dog, and wasn't very impressed, so I haven't been back since. Although now maybe I'll go back and try the chicken.
I mean, they are trying to make the meals cheaper and cheaper here so more people can afford, so... Meanwhile, our meals would just be "a few measly pounds" to them. So paying the amount they pay gets them that amount of food. It's just international marketing. It *is* still sad tho...
I'm not Filipino nor have I been to Philippines but judging from the jollibee food here in Hong Kong I can tell jollibee food would be a 10/10 in my book if I ever ate food from jollibee in Philippines

exactly made for kids taste that's why it's sweet
Lol isn’t it “blooms”? I don’t even know myself actually 😂
You forgot the pineapple juice! Jollibee is a bit salty but everything makes sense when one includes rice into the mix. Pour gravy over rice and the salty chicken becomes absolutely magical. It's been a while but I'm going to get myself some Jollibee today!
That sounds so good. ;w; Gravy and rice together always sounds good to me though. lol
They should’ve had the mango pie. It’s bussin!
Did you just... Ate the rice like BURGER? 😂
That's flipping resourceful.
I always do it in any fast food restaurants if I don't want the rice getting in my hands 😂 very common in Indonesia.
I did that as a kid XD
Kaya nga natawa ako sa kanila
my mom does that lol. and we are all born and raised in the Ph looool
Gabie: the spaghetti fried chicken combo actually exists in Italy!!
Me, an Italian: excuse me wHAT?
Right!? I'm Italian too and I've never heard of this!
Non esistono in Italia infatti...é una misconception che hanno all'estero dell'Italia
lolz, thanks for clarifying that. I ain't even Italian and I was surprised she said that XD
haha thanks for clarifying!! i literally thought the same thing
I WAS SEARCHING FOR THIS COMMENT SECTION. If someone didn’t already commented about it, I would’ve gone “ITALIANS, REUNIONS!”
That’s the same for me, I’m from mid-south, mid-north and middle Italy and I’ve never, ever heard of fried chicken and spaghetti, not even chicken and spaghetti.
Jollibee spaghetti is sweet because the target consumer for that are KIDS.
Sure... as I go and buy a whole party pack for myself...
No, it’s to cater the Filipino taste, Filipinos’ likes sweet things 😅
even McDo had to adjust the taste of their Spag to cater Filipinos 🤣
I laugh so hard when they eat the rice like a burger.. Sooo cute! 😂😂

R B is it not just called chicken parmesan
No it's an American invention
In Italy "parmigiana" which I guess is parmesan, it's only made with eggplant, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese on top. There's a variation in which courgettes are used instead of eggplants, but that's as far as it goes
it does not. IT DOES NOT! NON ESISTEEEE AAAAAAH IL CRINGE hahahahah

I'm so glad you guys loved Chickenjoy! Would have been a deal breaker for me if you guys didn't. LMAO
And as I'm about 2 years late, I know a lot of people said it but we don't have chicken strips here. 😋
Really enjoyed this, though! I wish you guys would come visit after the pandemic.

Crazy to see how far the guys have come in just the span of a couple years! Happy for them and their growth :D
Im Filo but I like the chicken and spaghetti that's it the rest of the menu is shit.
agreed I have tried phillipino speghetti and it must be aquired taste. But many many dishes are soooo good!
Chicken + Rice + Gravy = Heaven for us Filipinos
Even though Im not Filipino. Its Heaven for me too. Oh I miss Jollibee so so much 😂😂
Brunei loves Jollibee too! Hahaha we have them EVERYWHERE
@@sarahevans6461 not your chicken+rice+gravy though :D . its Jollibee's chicken+rick+gravy hahahaha.
Gee FYI I don’t cook coz I got servants to do that. I never commented bad about the chicken coz I tried it and I liked it. First of all read what I said again and understand what I meant 😂😂 it’s about the food heaven and not about my cooking skills 😂😂 your so lame.
Filipino's should be honest. Our Jollibee is better.
Josh I don’t think so po. I tried the Jolly spaghetti sa Pinas pero it’s not as good as the American one po 😅
Agree ako sayo

Have you tasted it yet?
Yes im filipino
Josh: "I'm totally unaware that chicken parmigiana exists"
we actually don't have chicken tenders in the Philippines?? plus you guys should've had peach mango pie! it's a staple~
edit: oOhh and halo-halo!
Aloha burger is not a staple of Jolibee but I'd say that it is definitely one of the must haves.
Yes!! Can't believe they didn't have peach mango pie! We should have suggested it so they could have tried it. A lot of foreigners like the pie
We don't have peach mango pie in Jollibee here in the UK though. The menu is kid of different too and the taste is also different
Whenever foreigners try jollibee chicken joy and they ignore the rice i’m like, “EAT IT WITH RICE AND GRAVY OMG SLDKDJ”
They are not fond of rice...
Reiny 08 lmao they just talked about how the rice tastes so good and how they’d like to just buy from there.

I think everything they just ate is a little bit bigger than what we have here lol

Here in the United States, some stores will literally give you a bucket if you go in before closing.
