    Less sugar intake and losing weight definetly helped me reduced my gout attacks from 6-8x per yr to 1-2×/yr.

      Cortisol is the stress hormone, and it rises this hormone and causes a steep rise in Blood sugar which causes Uric Acid..

    I removed steaks / pork / lamb from my DIET & no attacks in 2.5 years. I just recently had an attack from eating too many oysters & mussels. So I’m removing that from my diet completely. Focusing on apple cider vinegar each am, 3-4 liters of water a day, 2 black coffees and removing desserts and sugars will help you so much. Eggs / vegetables / apples / bananas / pineapple have been great also lots of green Salads. Also I take a “natural supplement” pill each am called “URICA” from AOR which is great. 3 pills 💊 each am. Plus 500 mg of magnesium each day helps.

    I often see experience sharing by early stage gout patients. However as the years pass and i mean generally after 10 to 15 years ...it becomes chronic... and the symptoms as I experienced .. can be more complex usually major soft tissue and muscle accumulation of uric acid.. and a general inflammation of certain portion.. This is usually the case in sedentary lifestyles, weight and neglecting eating habits.. exercise and liquor excesses..
    However.. The most effective combination along with lifestyle control is consistent intake of drug like allopurinol flabuxostat.. for years, removal medicine..often natural.. like celery and ginger extracts in boiled water and fresh lemon juice once a day and most important alkalanize body by baking soda ... reduce weight of course.
    We must remember that accumulating Uric acid is a long drawn process over two to three decades in gouty people.. it takes 10+ odd years to empty out the stock of uric acid in body... with consistent measures said above.. and there is a guarantee that one becomes gout free completely.
    It's like a bucket getting filled with water with no drain... it overflows... thats gout... you stop the tap with allopurinol.. and start drains by all those celery and lemon and soda.. after years.. The bucket empties out... I got gout flares in 1998.. onwards becoming severe till 2007 with occasional medication...
    I happened to read research literature by one Dr. Dharmawan from Indonesia and he claimed this with proofs on many patients...
    I was convinced... and strictly followed his experience.. with allopurinol and removal practices... stopped hard liquor and only occasional wine once a month... reduced weight.. took soda and checked urine daily with pH paper for neutrality... did for 14 years.. emptied the bucket completely
    Friends today at the age of 58 I am almost gout free normal and comfortable without any issues pains flare nothing..
    Do moderate yoga and work 12 to 14 hours a day...
    Forgive me.. I am not expert... nor boasting ... just sharing life time experience... thanks

      All you need to do is take magnesium supplements daily with 12 ounces of water and you will eliminate gout completely, I'm surprised with your vast knowledge of gout you didn't know that. Magnesium lowers uric acid and helps prevent kidney stones and gout.

    • @nitinshete8651
      @nitinshete8651 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn't make any difference. Mg has been a part of regular vital elements tabs over years.. since 2005 onwards

    • @nitinshete8651
      @nitinshete8651 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The symptoms of acute gout like flares in joints.. are initial stages.. It is fate of gout to often become chronic in uric removal impaired population. So the goal is to 'permanently' keep on preventing formation... and keep on removing it irrespective of whether symptoms are there or not...and keep the bucket empty. Methods and effectiveness may vary in different people.
      For me Allopurinol 200 mg a day and keeping blood (urine pH) neutral was most effective.. for years. Urate salts out.from blood as crystals at pH below 6.5. Settles in soft tissues n cartilage slowly if not controlled.. After some time evokes evokes inflammatory reaction recognizing it as foreign element.. (mainly Cell mediated immunity).. Thats we painfully call flare... The best way I found was to regularly monitor serum UA level in path lab.. atleast 3 to 4 times a year... and ensure it's below 4.5 mg per dl. Whether or not there is flare... Higher levels mean more chances of salt out and joint pains. This way I didn't have any pains flares for several years.
      Removal can be done by several choices... berries... chochecin.. orange or fresh lemon juice mineral supplements soda or sodamint tabs whatever suits one. I have seen funny actions like people taking Allopurinol as a week's course during flares...it's not an antibiotic.. that one takes when there is bacterial infection... it should be regularly taken... under medical prescription for years.

      @@nitinshete8651 Hello sir, I am early in 30s. I got gout. What diet should I follow. Should I take medicine daily?? Is there any side effects of taking gout medicine?? What diet do you follow. Do eat eggs, fish, non veg. What is your diet?? Can you please tell me how to lead long life with this chronic problem. Please tell your experience and diet and medicine. Please suggest sir. • @nitinshete8651

      Hello Friend.. Thanks for conversing.
      A good start is to check Uric acid level in serum. Any Pathology lab would do for small charge with pinch of your blood sample and report the next day. You need to be careful.. if it's above 5 mg/dl. I had hit once 9.. and within weeks brought down by lifestyle and Allopurinol (under doctor prescription) Goal is to keep below 5.
      Food: I suggest to avoid all types of meat... Red meat and finsh contain tissue cells highest purines that directly produce high uric acid. Even white meat can be stopped like chicken if possible. Eggs are fine in moderation because they mainly contain pure protein like albumin.
      I am a vegetarian so little worries. Completely avoid alcohol if you take.. especially distilled ones like whiskeys rums vodkas and also beer.. You may have red or white wine once in a blue moon.. Alcohol severely interferes with uric acid removal process by kidneys. So it accumulates fast.
      Go for wheat products.. milk milk products cereals... rice.. lots of green vegetables salads pizzas..They are low in purine...
      I don't mean to offend your lifestyle but suggestions based on my experience... see what helps..
      Have lots of orange juice frequently... and if possible drink one lemon's juice with water every morning first thing. (Even before tea)
      Avoid acidity... ! If you have frequently take baking soda with water (half a tablespoon 2 or 3 times a day) or eno 2/3 time. Buy pH paper from any medical shop and check pH of First morning urine .. it should be near to neutral and not acidic.
      Neutral pH of blood helps in not allowing uric acid to form crystals and settle in joints and cartilage which evokes immune response from body and causes pains and inflammation.. Neutral pH helps proper uric acid removal in urine naturally.
      If you are overweight... quickly reduce weight .. for instance if you r 5 ft 8 inches... then should be below 77 kg... Do keep active lifestyle and completely avoid sedentary lifestyle.. Once out of pain.. do ligjt exercise and sweat out... walk run cycle.. gym whatever... and drink lots of water... minimum 2.5 liters a day. It helped me a lot!
      Now coming to medication... I not a doctor so meeting doctor is important... Doctor can check and suggest proper combination of medicines for (a) Removing accumulated uric acid ..for example Colchecin and (b) Preventing formation of Uric acid. For example allopurinol. Allopurinol is an enzyme inhibitor that blocks function of enzyme called Xanthine Oxidase which breaks down purines into Uric acid... so purines are directly removed by urine and bowels.
      There is another USFDA approved drug now called flabuxostat.. slightly more efficient than allopurinol..
      Doctor recommends Allopurinol in 100 to 300 mg per day depending on person.. Always one shot a day in tablet form preferably post dinner before going to bed... and combined with some UA remover like colchicine..
      How many days? Can be months or years or life long... don't bother.. it's good ... keeps you painless...
      Now As you take allopurinol and colchecine... you normally get massive bout of inflammation and pains in some joints.. Don't worry.. It's a sign that crystals are dissolving and UA being removed... Suffer for few weeks and then you are normal... always check serum Uric acid level with Pathology lab once a month when treatment starts... it goes down rapidly.. keep below 4.5.. mg per dl and you will feel normal..
      Feverish feelings go away...
      Again ... Do take Dorctor's prescription... and don't try on your own... I did with Doctor....
      Remember Gout is an easily controllable disorder byvproper lifestyle food and medicine..
      Sorry long chat..like to help.. Wish you best of luck... Hope it helps...

    Suffering through one right now. I'm quite overweight @230 lbs, 5ft 7.
    Years ago I'd dropped my weight to 180, the attacks vanished. Of course, I put a good amount of it back on.
    Now, I do isometrics and barbells, take super c supplements, flax oil, etc, drink water and seltzer water, haven't smoked in 12+ years, at the same time I'm careless with the diet, hence the reason for high uric acid and the attack. Too much grass fed beef, pork, snacking on chips and pretzels and alot of bread with meals. I'm in my eigth day of the attack in my left foot and it's finally beginning to subside
    It hit most of the joints, one by one. It actually slowly traveled the left foot, joint by joint.
    Basically if you're overweight with this miserable condition, get the weight off prudently, with the mentioned lifestyle adjustments.

      you can also suffer gout attacks when you eat too much inadequate food. We lack the enzyme uricase that oxidates uric acid to allantoin which then can be easily passed. Carnivores like omnivores both produce uricase in their kidneys, sadly humans don't.

    what u said about purine rich vegetables is just partly true. beans for example to raise the uric acid levels and cause gout attacks. - but you are right that there are different kind of purines. generally speaking the more protein something has the more purines it got. but milk products or eggs do have a different kind of purines that do not get reworked into uric acid from your body. this is important for sports if u got gout.

    • @Schon1Kevin
      @Schon1Kevin ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TK-zc5wu "safe" is a weird word to use for that. beans and lentils do have less purines than meat or fish does, yet they still have a high level of it. much higher than other foods. its up to how sensible your body reacts to uric acid. some people already get a gout attack at a level of 7, others dont even get one at 14. generally speaking beans and lentils are nothing you should eat every day. best way to find out is to start slow for about 3 months and let your doctor check your acid levels every 2 or 3 weeks. if it stays low u can go for more of it. eggs and cheese are still the better choice for proteins since those purines dont get converted into uric acid in your body. i got my first gout attack at a level of 9 and since then ive switched to eggs and cheese as protein source strictly and my level is at 4,6 for the last 7 months.

    I have had gout flares ups since I was 30. I’m not overweight, infact I’m pretty fit. What I have found that works is nothing to excess. Still have the meats but small portions, I drink alcohol only on special occasions, not just to pass the evening. Regular exercise, plus supplements like vitamin c but also apple cider vinegar. I have been taking that every second day before bed time and it seems to help. Also, look at gout as a blessing. It is forcing you to eat and drink healthy

I then suffered high inflammatory levels that put me in bed for the whole Summer. I lost 2.5 stone in weight and I'll be honest have suffered different illnesses since...I'm totally worn out and becoming desperate wondering if I'll ever be well again.
