For people dealing with this problem: I just did this exact swap and the new control board did not fix the problem. It ended up being a slightly frayed wire going into the control board from the front controls. Something to check if your washer is not spinning. This is an excellent explanation video.
Excellent tutorial very thorough and no wasteful video time overall this is a great video thank you very much it's hard to find good videos like this p
Much Thanks for this video! I just removed the MCU.....took me approx. 16 mins. It was actually pretty easy.........thanks to your video. Tip: If there's a few days between removing old part and installing new part, I always re-install screws/bolts into their respective holes.

Excellent video, be sure to hold the motor when you tighten it and also make sure the belt is centered on the big wheel. I had to move mine forward
excelent video, really helpful, thank you
I'm about to do this tomorrow. Thanks for the video.
fyi i did this on my older ge front loader from the front without moving motor. a little one hand tricky but it can be done...
Great video I assume I need this as the motor ohms all check out within specs
What error are you all getting
My error code is E57. Replacing the motor control board solved the problem.
@@LarryHopper you can also test the motor windings with a multimeter. They should be about 6 ohms. It's a 3 phase motor.
@@TheMorelli3, right you are. My motor passed that test. Replacing the controller fixed my machine.
@@LarryHopper I mamged to fix my board I saw a blown out trace and soldered on a wire.
@@TheMorelli3, respect. I have no idea what a blown out trace is.
