The beginning of the call for service with the radio traffic from dispatch sets your mind in motion, and you start planning and mentally rehearsing your response as you drive to the scene. He changed two mindset of being cop friendly talking to kids, hearing gun shots and changing mindsets to being a executioner. In full uniform wearing duty boots, work cargo pants which are heavy, gun belt, and vest which all weighs about 25-30 pds. Running in full gear with a rifle trying to find a shooter with no backup, then identifying the shooter and making clear shots under the amount of adrenaline going through him is on a another level. Just amazing I’m sorry for the families who was shot.

The emotional fitness of this officer is impressive. There is no telling what exactly he's walking past while actively engaging an armed and dangerous suspect. Going from talking to kids in the parking lot about seat belts to engaging an active mass shooter with a semi-auto rifle is an absolute emotional roller coaster. I feel horrible for the families affected by this, and I truly hope they can find peace. I've been to that mall countless times - but haven't been since this has happened. I'm not sure how it'd feel. This officer showed everything that you'd hope law enforcement is equipped with - both emotionally and with the proper equipment. Stay fit physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

I don't know if you've been in this type of situation (I'm guessing not as not many have) but his heavy breathing is almost entirely due to the explosion of adrenaline flowing through his body. I like carrying mid size handguns more than micro compacts because I shoot them at longer distance better than I do with a micro compact.. micro compacts to me are for 20 yards or less

An average concealed carrier would have done better than the out of shape welfare recipient in blue costume had it not been for the leftists who run the mall barring their presence. I see tons of criticisms about the officers fitness all over the place, what people fail to realize is how hard it is to run with 30-50 pounds of gear and a rifle plus adding the communication to other officer/dispatch, taking in information audibly and visually but also controlling your emotions/adrenaline to stay coherent to then get into a gun battle with someone from around 70-100 yards away.
