the other emulator runs this much smoother with an option to downscale to .5 so games run even better

Are you using PAL or NTSC ROMS?
The fps says 50 so it's PAL

FPS in the corner shows they are probably NTSC, I agree a mistake.
Do you recommend buying a Retroid Pocket 3 + or 2S?
I'd personally recommend the 2S more.
But they did recently announce the Pocket 4 and 4 pro so maybe just get that if you want.

@@wilfredobracero4226 probably not. At least not what I would consider Pocketable. I'd say it'll probably be like putting a slightly and I mean SLIGHTLY smaller switch lite in your pocket. You'll probably be better off putting in a bag when you go out.
Thanks for getting all these benches. What you deem playable seems pretty bad at times. Few would play these titles more than once or twice
The Retroid Pocket 2S seems to only do 7 lighter GC games. An old Wii U can do way better - same price point?
The point of these devices is that they are small and portable, some of them are even pocketable. It's something that you can easily take with you anywhere. There are modded devices that can play these games better for less but these retro emulators let you take them out on the go with exceptional physical controls.
He's also using the budget version of the device that has 3GB of RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. There's a higher end version with 4GB of RAM and 128GB eMMC storage. Android 11 eats up 1.7GB of RAM just to operate, so he's looking at only 1.3GB of RAM to run those games in.

@@MemeMan91 Try using the PAL version and if that doesn't help then try changing OpenGL to Vulkan or vice versa.
