Dude I've ran into some wild ass situations on the hunt. I once built a pile of books to buy at an antique market only for the dude at the register to take all the bigger keys out of my pile and tell me that those are on hold for someone else. They were literally all mixed in different short boxes. The dude realized I knew what I was doing and had dug out alotta keys that were underpriced.
You were right. She was wrong. She was rude and ignorant. It's frustrating buying comics, even browsing, when people are selling comics who don't know, don't like, and even hate comics.
The books in the locked case were obviously all individually priced at one time but the seller is trying to sell them off in lots of - so the better books don’t sell right away and the less desirable books get left behind. It’s unfortunate but the seller put them in lots probably strategically putting some more desirable books in each group.
which is so strange considering comic shops and stores like this one are struggling, so why would they kick out the few people that actually want to shop there?
If she was rude to me I would just have walked away. Perhaps I would be rude back if she made me angry. But I did like a whole bunch of the comics you show.
Where at in Florida? I go to alot of antique shops in central Florida. When I have to deal with people like that, depending on the deal I try and be polite or leave if they don't cooperate.
Sadly this is the problem with all antiquity stores, people actually rent space on the floor so they can actually sell their stuff but the actual owner will always don't wanna be willing to help or negotiate. I have one shop from me that's about an hour drive that I went into one time they had a pretty good selection of comics so I was trying to cut a deal or so, and the owner of the shop didn't wanna help one bit and I go is this somebody else's booth and he goes yes but I don't wanna contact him so I rolled out two grand in $100 bills and say well look like you don't care about your renters have a good day Sir. The guy who looked at the roll of cash and tell that he messed up big time Oh well there's always another store to spend my money at.
...and then you woke up, brushed your 2 teeth, took your 2 bags of cans to the 7-11 to get 2 bucks, to buy a 2 transfers bus ticket, to get to your 2pm community service, cuz of your 2 year probation, for not having to brain cells.
I have a local antique mall and there's a locked case full of comics. Sometimes I get attitude from staff as well but I just explain to them nicely that this is their job to help facilitate a sale for the vendors set up there. Bottom line do your job and don't make the customer feel bad.
This is why....when you find a LCS or a dealer you trust....CONTINUE to patronize them! We need more honest, caring people to grow & enjoy this hobby! 😊
Man those places don't even know what they have in there lol. But I wouldn't buy either for that. At least if they would unlock it and be able to see would of been nice. 👍
Sometimes the patience is worth the haul...sometimes it's not worth the disrespect. It's all up to how much you are willing to put up with and that's all there is to it. Personally i am a pretty easy going guy, i would have trolled her all day long and asked to see every single one and told her i understand what the price says but i am not spending that money without a look at the condition of the books and i might ask her if she is even interested in the cash at all? I am not forcing her to be there at all, either she wants to make money or she doesn't.
I thought you were going to let us hear what she said, but I probably wouldn't buy anything either and wouldn't go back. If it's such a problem to help someone out asking about something you're selling, then you probably shouldn't be selling anything.
Regarding the antique dealer; thank you ma’am, you have a nice day. Walk out the losses you spend 50 bucks minimum every time we go comic shopping so she missed out on the sale.
Hello man I watch your videos all the time if you ever go to Orlando Fl during your stay pls feel free to stop by my comics shop in the visitors flee market in kisssime FL
I think she was in the wrong. Her job is to make sure she assist in the selling of this merchandise and if she could not do that then maybe she should not be working there. You shouldn’t be made to feel less than when you come to patron a shop. Good one you for not entertaining it.😊
I don’t even like going in comic shops or antique stores anymore because I have found some of these people are so rude I’d rather just buy online

That’s so messed up I’ve had similar stuff happen to me as well especially at comic shops
@@whynotcomics3291 I was so missed. Why have them mixed in with other books that were for sale? To me that makes them fair game.
You were right. She was wrong. She was rude and ignorant. It's frustrating buying comics, even browsing, when people are selling comics who don't know, don't like, and even hate comics.
Yes thanks for watching
thanks for sharing my friend sorry some people are just like that just pray for them you did the right this
Yes, thank you
Where at in Florida
The owner of the comic books is probably wondering why he isn’t selling any, and he doesn’t know it’s because of the workers and their bad attitude.
I know I feel bad for him thanks for watching
Its not her stuff so she dont care if you buy sh** or not
I agree

If I deal with rude people I walk out and leave a bad review on Google. Likewise if it was a good place I will leave a good review.
Thanks for watching
She obviously don’t know anything about comic books lol
