1985: Washington Redskins vs Philadelphia Eagles Remastered NFL Highlights

Two teams struggling to remain in the '85 playoff race met in a do-or-die week 14 showdown at raucous Veteran's Stadium.
Both offenses were sluggish early, thwarted by turnovers and penalties. The second half was a different story, as newly promoted Jay Schroeder, aided by George Rogers' 150-yards(!) rushing and Art Monk's clutch pass-catching, led Washington roaring back from a 12-3 deficit for the dramatic 17-12 victory. Game balls to Darrell Green for his amazing punt-returns, and especially to Rich Milot, whose stellar goal-line play at the end saved the day.
The Redskins improved to 8-6 as the beat they the Eagles at the Vet for the third time in four seasons (part of a wonderful 7-3 run in Philly between '82 and '90 - take THAT, Iggles!)
Trying out a new remastering process with this one... a little less noise reduction, and double the frame rate for smoooooth motion. Takes a little longer but the RetroSkins community is worth it!

10-6 in 85 and missed the playoffs..Would happen again in 89..Cool memory though..I was 15 and watched this with my Dad and Uncle who have since passed..So thanks for this..HTTR4LIFE!

Love these videos especially the cowboys skins games from the 80s. A great game from those day was washington v the vikings at RFK in 1986. One of the best games I think of that time.

At this point Jay Schroeder was pretty much entrenched as the Redskins starting quarterback for now and the future and everybody knew Joe Theismann would never be coming back

I remember watching this game on TV growing up outside Washington DC. Darrell Green punt return getting called back because of Barry Wilburn I'll never forget. It also happened again against the Bengals the following week.
