Someone should have showed this game tape to Snyder in 2000 when he thought it wise to sign Jeff George to a bigger contract than Brad Johnson. The amount of what-ifs from Snyders whole tenure is nuts.
When I think back on the late 90's I think of the Redskins not being good, but they had some good players back then and Leslie Sheperd was one of them! Trent Green, Marcus Patton, Stephen Davis, Darrell Green & B Mitch obviously, etc.
The 90’s Redskins were good. A downtown in 93, and a rebuild in 94-95, but solid thereafter. Very entertaining team, but too often they tripped over their own feet just enough to miss the post season. They’d go nose to nose with the best teams on their schedule and then flop against some last place team to cost them playoff chances. Sigh…
I still call the Washington Redskins the Redskins, and always will. The logo was awesome and it should have remained that way.
