    You may already know this, but if you use the paper that covers the vinyl on the roll as a buffer between the vinyl and the machine bed, it will not stick. Makes your life a whole lot easier. Great job with the bag, thank you. Also, there is a Teflon foot accessory for most machines meant for sewing vinyl.

    Another great tutorial. I did my first Vinyl pouch just an hour ago and love it. It is fiddly to box the corners and turn it inside out, but it is worth it.

    Thank you for your tutorial. I want to share a tip on what works for me when working with sticking vinyl. I put a sheet of plain paper between vinyl and sewing machine and proceed sewing on vinyl with paper sandwiched in between. Once the piece is sewn, I tear away the paper. Hope you can try this and that it works for you as it has for me.

    Hi from South Africa 🇿🇦 wonderful tutorial. I've been making a few of these in a lot of different sizes 😀
    A few tips I learnt, some masking tape at the bottom of your foot will prevent it sticking, from Melanie Ham I learnt to zigzag the top of the zip face outside, it's so cute, especially if one uses an alternative colour. Also using a hair dryer to soften it before turning really helped me. I also added tabs to help when closing the zip and a carry tab.
    Thanks so much for your detailed and helpful videos.

    I have been meaning to make vinyl pouches for my makeup, as i need a lot of them, but don't have enough time to sew fabric ones as it takes up so much time! I didn't come across vinyl in fabric shops, but i think pvc tableclothes would work just as well, and the great thing is that those are avaible everywhere, your tutorial was easy to follow, thank you!

    • @staceyleecreative
      @staceyleecreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, you’ll find vinyl in most big craft stores in the upholstery and curtain area, and yes a pvc tablecloth could also be used. These are so quick and easy to make. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 🤗

    If it's helpful on clear vinyl and you won't see it otherwise, use a sharpie and run it along the edge of the vinyl so it shows against your project. I like to lay mine on paper and draw like the vinyl is a ruler so that it only colors the edge, not the surface.

    Have made three so far and I love them. Your instructions are excellent. Thank you so much! Do you happen to know what the dimensions are for a one quart pouch so I can use it for traveling? And, what would be the cut size? I am cutting the vinyl at 10" x 14" and my finished measurements are approximately 8.5" wide by 5" high by 2.5" wide at the base.

    could you add zipper tabs to the zipper on this pattern? I was thinking it would give it more color and help with zipper ends.

    • @staceyleecreative
      @staceyleecreative  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gina, yes you could, you would need to change the construction of the top a bit to make that work 😊

    • @staceyleecreative
      @staceyleecreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      HI there, these vinyl zippers are easier than fabric ones because you don't have to worry about hiding seams because the vinyl doesn't fray. Honestly, they are very easy to make 😊Here is a tutorial of mine for fabric zippers th-cam.com/video/_iFiY_fWIi8/w-d-xo.html
