Swapping out that plastic striker guide for the stainless steel one from Lakeline LLC also helps a lot on the trigger pull.

I purchased and installed the Keep Tinkering Flat Face SAO trigger. This eliminated the trigger safety bar, Reduced/shortened the overall travel by 45% and is at 5lb pull. Absolute Best Mod for the G3C, of all I have done. The M*Carbo spring kit ended in light strikes for mine, being at factory poundage of 14lb. I ordered a new striker assy from Taurus $14.99 and fires 100%.

in case you lose the ball bearing in the safety it is a 1.5mm ball bearing

Just installed the spring kit. It dropped my pull from 7#-7.5# (DA and SA) to 5# DA and 4.25# SA. Nice! I greased the striker guide instead of spending money on a ss one from lakeline, although tempting. Love the new mod. To add: Punching the middle pin from right to left was the cure to my problem. The knurling on my pin (G2) prevented it from being pushed from right to left.

This is definitely the most detailed video that I have found on Taurus take down. I have 2. One of the 3gc' & the 3gc Toro. I live these forearms. I am yet to have any kind of issue with them. They even come with 3 12 round mags. Hard to beat for the price. I am ordering these spring kits for them as well

Only one thing I'm wondering: why didn't you replace the striker guide for the Stainless Steel one available?? It's supposed to be superior to the OEM orange plastic one. This was a great video. It was the cold bucket of water I need to fully understand I need someone else to perform these actions.
And while I watched, I daydreamed about "What if Taurus did all this for the finished product? How much better would their products be?"
To be clear, I have a G3C and tremendously dislike the trigger - especially when compared to other pistols I own. It tends to get left behind on range days. 😞

If you put the frame inside of a plastic bag while disassembling anything with a stout spring or detent it gives you a chance to catch the spring or bearing in case it slips.

I suffered 100% light strikes after initial firing of brand new G3C. Lakeline llc or M*Carbo springs did nothing. They are all 14lb OEM weight. I installed a 15 1/2lb Wolf Spring to resolve the light strike, but did increase trigger pull. I purchased a $14.99 new striker assy. from Taurus and resolved all issues. This is Not from Hard Primers, a characteristic for some of the pistols.

The worst part of this trigger is the way the trigger dingus doesnt completely engage until the rear of the pull creating an awful grittyness right before break.
I cant see how this kit will help that what so ever.
Then the mirror polish is going to rust on all 4 of those places polished. Its a taurus. Of course its going to rust.
At least cold blue the areas you polished.

I have used 4 other M*Carbo trigger spring kits on multiple other brands, all with great end results. I installed the kit, along with all the internal polish works in my G3c to end up with 100% light strikes on CCI and Remington factory ammo, plus reloads with WInchester and CCI primers, installed .002" below flush in the case. as was the factory spring. I contacted M*Carbo by email twice with the question of their spring pull weight matching the factory 14lb pull or not? No replies. I ended up installing a Wolf Spring 15 1/2lb spring to resolve the light strikes, but did suffer additional trigger pull. I can't blame M*Carbo for the spring poundage duplication the OEM unit, simply disappointed by lack of communications. This kit did defiantly improve the trigger feeling, and eliminate the songy feel, although a majority sacrificed due to the heavier striker spring I had to install for light strike issues, as in many of these pistols. I purchased and installed a Lakeview steel striker assy, with the same 14lb light strike ending. This kit is an easy install, taking about 30 minutes with polishing procedures, and not difficult at all. My opinion would be, either the internal depth of the striker housing front area or striker overall tip length varies from pistol to pistol, resulting in a large amount of pistols out there with light strike issues. I will continue my investigations and modification efforts to allow installation of the factory 14lb spring and light trigger pull, as was the plan.
