😅You're right. I wonder how @Adidas managers react to Messi wearing bashit over the ICONIC #10 shirt. Do you think @Adidas was aware of it? It was part of the celebration? It could be a Nike sabotage (Qatar, France and Psg official sponsor)?

@@nodoubt176 Very unlikely that Adidas was aware and they are probably fuming with Infantino now. It is blocking the Adidas logo in the most important moment 😅. Addidas is probably my favorite one, they make the best kits for the tournament with unique designs and patterns which usually work well.
Nike is just okay, they don't really do anything special, and just overall very safe. Sometimes, a bit too safe to the point of being bland.
Puma is the worst. Especially their templates for away kits is absolutely atrocious.

I agree that the partnership with brazil was massiv for Nike. Specially having R9 to promote their Mercurial line. However, Nike became number 1 in football, when they bought Umbro. Before Nike started to get into the football market, not only Adidas was prominent, also Puma, Diadora and Umbro. Umbro was still sponsoring really big nations like Enlgand. When Nike took over Umbro, they also took over most of Umbros kit and player sponsorship deals.

Morocco was the secret winner for sure and from what I read online, Moroccan fans were asking Puma when the new supplies will arrive as they went out of stocks real quick, so it must be a good business for Puma. BUT, from what I observed during the matches (I watched almost every match), Puma jerseys seemed to have some sort of design flaw or material quailty issues affecting their ventilation. I noticed players in Puma shirts look really sweaty. Yes, I know Qatar is hot but Nike or Adidas players looked much cooler. Check Swiss team matches and you'll quickly notice what I mean... Their shirts literally stick to the player's body, which looked really infuriating.

Nike certainly did not take over the world cup. Their kits have been truly horrendous apart from 1 or 2 nice ones. On the other hand adidas delivered very nice results with amazing and classy kits for Belgium, Argentina, Japan, Mexico & Germany. When it simply comes to aesthetics and design, adidas is miles ahead.

A successful and charismatic personality values much more than many teams combined. In that regard, the Messi partinership is gold. If he lifts the trophy, it will produce priceless images that will echoes for the ages, and certainly sells a lot for adidas.

I think the reason why adidas teams are outnumbered by nike in this world cup was due to the lack of luck. Russia as a major adidas sponsorship was deprived from playingworld cup. Chile and Colombia are both competitive teams, but they failed to enter the finals. Other adidas teams that could have been in the finals include Scotland, Sweden and Algeria. I think in the world cup 2026 there could be more adidas teams. By the way, adidas has taken Italy from Puma this year.

Even if Fifa or UEFA champions league doesn't use a nike ball but the premiere league , concacaf gold cup and others use nike balls. One sport nike doesn't dominate is hockey, but every other sport nike has the dominance over adidas generally speaking.

In terms of the looks of their products, I prefer Adidas, especially for team kits. Nike’s kits aren’t bad but so many of them have this weird arch thing at the top of the torso which to me makes it look like the player is wearing a bib or something. Many of the kits that Adidas makes are really good imo.
