- This is a 2018 Ford F150 with the Aluminum body and a 3.5L Eco-boost engine and the new 10 speed automatic transmission design in collaboration with General Motors. This review is not an in-depth review only a quick overview of the truck and its immediate features.

So, in case anyone comes here because they're researching the F150 as a buying option, STX is a package, and no longer a trim level. From base model up it goes XL, XLT, Lariat, Platinum, King Ranch, Limited, and Raptor. The different packages available depend on the trim. I guess you could say the F150 with the STX badge is a high end XL, available only on the SuperCab and SuperCrew, but a lot of the elements in the STX package are also available on the higher models.

Great review!!!👍👍👍
Thank you!
Would it be a good idea to buy a 2018 Ford F-150 XLT, 3.5 ecoboost now?
I'm asking because I just bought one, but I'm now unsure if I'd made the right decision.
Since you already have the truck, I would just join a good owners website and concentrate on preventative maintenance. Hard for me to say since I do not own one.
What do you guys think of the 2018 Ford F150 ECO Boost?
Night Hawk Motors great truck !
I know this an old video. With that said, I just got a used 2018 STX 4wd with the 2.7L ecoboost. Saying I love my truck is an understatement. Its lighter, makes 100 more pound feet of torque, gets better fuel economy, and can tow/haul more than my 2006 2wd xlt.
Very nice! The turbo engines make really good torque.
Got a 2019 stx crewcab fx4 with the big 3.5 ecoboost. The truck RIPS!!! Its 700 pounds lighter than a raptor so just get a tune and ;) $40K raptor killer
And it would be a sleeper!
@@NightHawkMotors it already is ;) most think that ecoboost badge on the tailgate is a 2.7 haha SURPRISE!!!!
I just got a 2019 stx max tow 4x4 with the 3.5. These trucks are ridiculously fast, yet get 20mpg. You can get to 550hp with just a tune, if you dont mind losing your warranty.
@@scarletboa I agree the stx with a 3.5 is a BULLET. Maybe slower in 4x4 from weight of front diff/axles but might launch better? I have tow pkg as well with 38 gal tank and it tows my 23 ft 10k lbs trailer like no problem. A tune would be awesome and I plan on doing it after I buy at end of lease.
@@RandomStuffGarage619 4x4s are faster 0-60mph. Boosted 4x4 launches mean very little tire spin and full boost off the line. I'm sure doing that is horrible for the truck though, so I haven't tried it.
At 400 miles, my f150 is already a killer. An unfortunate cat darted out in front of me today.
I myself am a truck person. Even though I own the farthest thing from it in a Honda Civic from 1999. Lol. I enjoyed your review. That truck easily cost $45,000. I love it, but too damn much. Makes me sad.
You never talked about fuel economy or towing
You can have eco or boost, you can't have both. On flat ground empty with mine (2.7L) I can touch 24.5 at 70mpg. With a 4500 pound travel trailer, a get about 10.
STX.
SXT would be a Dodge.
That plastic steering wheel is a major turnoff in a $45,000 vehicle!
Then don't buy it
@@alextran8188 ...Genius! I won't, thanks for the tip.
@@emmexfyv your welcome 😉
Then you've seriously limited your buying options. To like NONE, lol. What a ditz...
@@231mac right.. most trucks and SUVs these days have base models that are that expensive.
