I've noticed you've commented on several different videos of this song, so I imagine you probably like it as much as I do lol. It's very beautiful and epic. I hadn't really played much or learned a new song in like 3 years, but after hearing it, I just had to learn it. Still haven't finished yet but I'm making progress. Currently on page 5, but I can only play the first 4 pages up to speed. The left hand is indeed nuts, especially starting at page 4, but the more you do it the better it gets. Consistent practice is the key, to increase left hand endurance and muscle memory. I know that if we both practice often then we will eventually be able to play this awesome piece in its entirety. Oh don't worry, I know exactly how to get better XD But since becoming an artist and following an artistic route through college and university I haven't had the time nor strength to keep up my piano studies. I was way above grade 8 when I slowly started to stop playing, but I haven't had any decent practice since having left secondary school a couple of years ago. I'm planning on buying a new electric piano as my upright can't really be moved to my uni flat, and I hope on getting back up to the level I was once at. Which means having to relearn everything..

I loved this so much. It wasn't flawless, but that's exactly why I loved it. It makes me feel that the person who's playing it is actually someone like me, and then I feel like I can learn this song too :) I've been trying to learn it lately and it's VERY hard for me, I have the littlest hands EVER and my piano, like yours, wasn't built for this song. Yeah, I really don't want to lose it.. My parents keep urging me on to keep playing it, but I don't know. I lost the motivation somewhere, for reasons even I don't know. But your videos are really inspiring, and they've helped me get back on track several times in the past. So maybe I will ^^ I'm just glad you post such great videos for us all to see. Ever since I got into drawing I've ignored piano... I don't want to... I haven't played in over two weeks... Hopefully, if I can watch enough of Kingdom Hearts piano videos which are what inspired me to play seriously in the first place, then maybe I will get into playing it again...

@EtherealBurst Thanks :D It took me about a month my first playthrough about a year ago, and I spent about a week re-learning it before recording. It was such a crazy piece that even after a year it didn't take much effort to remember how to play it again!

just looked a bit closer and I realized that one of the main points of this song is keeeping the melody going in the right hand while doing so much else. Haha sick

@ZeferdensAccount Yeah, the reverb certainly gives the performance a little bit of uniqueness; I'd be happier without it, but I'm quite happy with the end result.. the mics actually don't pick up a lot of the reverb I hear sitting at the piano when playing this, so in some ways it actually sounds BETTER on youtube than it does in real life (at least from the pianist's perspective) :) Thanks, lol, they're way awesome AND they're cozy! :3

I am currently trying to learn this piece in a one month window, so it should keep me really busy haha! I really love your Sora and Riku movements. :) Now play Kairi and Working Together. :P Oh, and also record Medley of Conflict on the Shigeru! I demand it! ;) Hope you're doing well buddy! Chad

It's brutal, I really am shocked it turned out so well, because it sounded horrible the day before I recorded it, lol. Okay MAYBE not HORRIBLe, but not AMAZING :P lol, yeah... a lot of other youtubers skipped that part of the piece, I dunno why... I really like the epic part with the chords (not just for the respite... its EPIC)

It's a great finger-strength training piece though, especially for the weaker 4 and 3 fingers of the left hand, which is conveniently where I needed the most work, so that works, lol. But yeah, that respite in the middle is CERTAINLY called for! Or else mah hands woulda conflagrated before the end of it... >.

lol thank you, kind sir. Yeah, I can never record things 100% perfect, not when they're this hard. The hope is that in playing something that isn't completely perfect it shows that I'm human and therefore maybe can inspire other people to try to do the same :) Music like this isn't impossible if you give it your all ^^ Thank you so much :)
@MaxLucasPiano Yeah, the melody is pretty much always present throughout the whole thing. Part of the challenge is keeping it audible while doing the crazy stuff :)
@EtoGmajor I would suggest using 3 and 4 for 00.17. It partially depends on your hands and what you personally feel most comfortable with, but your 4th and 5th fingers are closely connected in motor ability and tend to be weaker. You have to be able to put a lot of strength and speed into that part with the left hand--it's strenuous either way. For the other part at 1:20 that arrangement should work alright--it's basically what I used.
Ah yeah, that part is sorta a total change of pace from before and requires some awkward hand positioning with all the flats everywhere. Don't let it stop you though, I had to take that entire section really slowly for about a month, going over it every day and I still miss notes when I play it up to speed. Don't worry about hitting every note dead on--the song moves so quickly that if you miss a few here and there, it's hardly noticeable thankfully. Getting the melody is most important :)
@nathanielpiano is one of them 13th struggle? best song ever. you should totally do that song. it is amazing. i'm practicing it on flute though with is pretty hard considering it's really fast but try to do that song but like when you have time to even do that song which i understand so yeah and thx for responding to all of those comments so yeah
I love this song so much. I nearly had it down and everything then came along exam time :'( so I dropped it and haven't touched it in years. It sounds a lot better than on my piano XD I actually think this is easier than some of the others 'cause it's quite straightforward in playing.
It was painful a bit, so take it slow. Don't rush into it or it will hurt, unless you're experienced with really taxing songs like this. I remember burning my wrists slightly out a few times until I worked up the muscle, so it can hurt.
@krissalad Yeah, it is. I sort of half-learned it several months ago, it's just a matter of finding time to finish it :) So it'll be get up here SOME DAY!!

It partially depends on your hands and what you personally feel most comfortable with, but your 4th and 5th fingers are closely connected in motor ability and tend to be weaker. You have to be able to put a lot of strength and speed into that part with the left hand--it's strenuous either way. For the other part at 1:20 that arrangement should work alright--it's basically what I used.
Ah yeah, that part is sorta a total change of pace from before and requires some awkward hand positioning with all the flats everywhere. Don't let it stop you though, I had to take that entire section really slowly for about a month, going over it every day and I still miss notes when I play it up to speed. Don't worry about hitting every note dead on--the song moves so quickly that if you miss a few here and there, it's hardly noticeable thankfully. Getting the melody is most important :)
@nathanielpiano is one of them 13th struggle? best song ever. you should totally do that song. it is amazing. i'm practicing it on flute though with is pretty hard considering it's really fast but try to do that song but like when you have time to even do that song which i understand so yeah and thx for responding to all of those comments so yeah
By hearing the song alone (the soundtrack), I could pick up several notes at a time, but I couldn't imagine it required so much...hand movement xD

I love this song so much. I nearly had it down and everything then came along exam time :'( so I dropped it and haven't touched it in years. It sounds a lot better than on my piano XD
I actually think this is easier than some of the others 'cause it's quite straightforward in playing.
It was painful a bit, so take it slow. Don't rush into it or it will hurt, unless you're experienced with really taxing songs like this. I remember burning my wrists slightly out a few times until I worked up the muscle, so it can hurt.
