The guy is right. The Fermi energy is only defined at absolute zero, while the Fermi level is defined for any temperature. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_energy
if no electron occupies any level in the band gap, how come the fermi level sits in there while it means the probability of 50% to be occupied by an electron. if it's a band gap then it has a 0% probability of being occupied by an electron, what am I missing?
Sir please mera doubt clear kijiye hmko ye nhi smjh aa rha ki zero kelvin temperature pe electron kaise jump kr skta hai and hole kaise create ho skta hai sir please bataiye sir please
As the temperature increases, the bonds start to break making hole-electron pairs. This way, there's two posible scenarios: If it was an excentric material, the proportion of majority charge porters start to decrease, and might reach a point where it's insignificant. If it was an intrinsic, the proportion stays the same, half electrons and half holes. So you can see that at any temperature, in an intrinsic material, the fermi level stays in the same state of energy, and in an intrinsic, it starts to behave like an intrinsic as the temperature increases
Take Ne=Nh,then substitute the values of them...later take natural log on both sides ....after that take me=mh...,then log1 becomes zero...so ef=eg/2...
Aur sir yeh bhi bataiye ki fermi level ka existance zero kelvin temperature pe kaise ho skta hai kyuki sir zero kelvin temperature pe toh electron only valence band mein rhega wo jump khaan kr paayega sir please bataiye hm bahut problem mein hai
He is right..fermi level is defined at any temperature ..en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_energy... there is a difference between fermi level and fermi energy
Could anyone explain - I thought that electrons could only be either in the conduction band or in the valance band, not in the band gap. So how can electrons be at the fermi level half way between? Confused!
Thanks for the smooth and easy explanation.

Well explained, Thanks for sharing!
EZ and concise explanation... thank you!

Well explained 👏👌now I understood this topic🤩🤩🤩
Super explanation.....I'm very clear in this concept after watching this....thanks....
It's use ful to me great job sir
Is there a possible either electrons or holes jumped out of the C. B Or V. B

Like a substance can have a centre of mass at a place where there's no mass (like a ring has centre of mass at its centre)
super explained sir. thank you so much
Well explained, thank you.

at any temperature or only T = 0K
At t=ok
Only at t=o.as the temp increaseor decrease there is change in fermi level

Explains the semiconductor with the help of E-K diagram and equilibrium distribution of electrons and holes.
Supper explanation,thank you bro
HI. I was wondering how to calculate fermi level for conductors where band gaps are overlapping. Kindly suggest... Thanks...
Kindly comment
AHHA, here it is I searched literally tonnes of sources for this
Agr semiconductor main Fermi level Conduction band ko touch kr je ya cross kr je CB ko to Kia Ho ga
Why the electrons are more than holes then the fermi level will moves to conduction band. Please explain clarity in another video.
since electrons already appear loosely connect to the main atom. they can easily get to conduction band
So nice thanks sir
Well expained
honestly ... good explanation
thanq
In which conductivity is more-intrinsic or p-type semi conductor ?
p type
Extrinsic ie p and n type :)
How do we prove that 2Ef=Eg
Take Ne=Nh,then substitute the values of them...later take natural log on both sides ....after that take me=mh...,then log1 becomes zero...so ef=eg/2...
Aur sir yeh bhi bataiye ki fermi level ka existance zero kelvin temperature pe kaise ho skta hai kyuki sir zero kelvin temperature pe toh electron only valence band mein rhega wo jump khaan kr paayega sir please bataiye hm bahut problem mein hai
Sir conduction band me eletron hi hote he Kya . Holes nahi hote Kya
I think only electrons exist in conduction band.
It's very easy to understand thank u
Plg give a hole video of moderne phy
At absolute zero temperature bro not at any temperature
He is right..fermi level is defined at any temperature ..en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_energy... there is a difference between fermi level and fermi energy
fermi energy : absolute zero
fermi level : any temperature
@@hasanaltnsk8881 You're right!
@@hasanaltnsk8881 Google it first bro Fermi level definition
he is right at any temperature
Well explained 😊
Thank you very much👍🏼
Thank you 😊😊

Confused!
there is probability but no states to occupy
You already explained the postiion of Fermi level in intrinsic semiconductor and again why are you drawing E(if )in extrinsic semiconductor
Very nice explanation
Excellent sir
sir hindi m btaye English m to book m hi h🙏🙏🙏
Legend watching after 5years
Sir ak question Hy
Ye jee mains mai aaya tha.😵
Explain in detail about closeness of fermi level in ptype
Batao kya janna hain
Nyc explained
Give detailed explanation with equations
good shit bro
Thnx❤
Thank you very much!!
Donor and acceptor level ke bare me plz bolia sir
Sir plz answer.i like u r video.so I am expecting a positive reply from u sir .
Great ....
thanks!!!
that helps
Not given reason for any concept for eg . Why holes exist in valence band? . his basic is not clear that's why he has not given reason for anything...
the video is based on fermi level and not abt holes or carriers , if you want to know abt them then their are other videos abt it on here
he said that he assumes us to know what is n & p-type at the beginning itself...
nice vid
Nice
thanks
say loudly its difficult to get your voice here..
thankyou sir
tank you sir
Thanku
Thank you sir
You are the best
