Look at the original designs for SS3, it looks just like beast. The menacing look and extreme pointed up hair - I think this will link back to oozaru and be a half-saiyan's version of SS4.
On the Goku comment on super saiyan 2 or 3. I think its more about him seeing his som getting a power up and his way of showing love is fighting. It is a way of bonding and it looks like these fights mean something to him as we saw him waiting for freezer and reliving his fight with grandpa Gohan.
Whis told Goku to learn how to use Ultra Instinct in his base form and to use the Silver Ultra Instinct in a battle that requires the user to break their limits. This was before Goku fought Granola. So its safe to to say that MUI is stronger than TUI
My problem with the manga is that it feels like someone containing writing dragon ball based off of prior know of dragon ball that is already considered canon by the fanbase. It doesn’t feel natural like someone is actually just continuing writing their story they already had been writing for a whileZ

You do realize Toriyama is incharge of the story right? Toyotara only does the art and even has to get that approved by Toriyama.
