One of the most underrated songs from the Stones. They have done a number of albums that weren't classics like Exile or Let It Bleed, but they always had 2 to 4 awesome songs on them. This cut as well Fight, Dirty Work and their cover of Harlem Shuffle were great.
@@joostvandervalk3361 You've misread his point! He's saying that they did some albums that weren't classics like Exile & Let it Bleed ARE classics!! ( Bleed is also my very favourite. I was young & my eldest brother had it !! 😄 )
@ZeOneEnOnly well the truth is he's been quite the rage since the early 60's. Long before he was known by the public his work as a session player was highly respected and in demand by musicians and industry professionals alike. So either some of the greatest talents in the industry are wrong or you are.
You know a performer is very professional when he worried about losing his energy due to cancer. I read Charlie said that years ago l think at the time of his first cancer diagnosis. But it very much seems he never lost his ability until his last illness.
I’m so glad our heroes got out of the 80s intact for the most part. Now we can still enjoy the Stones live in their sixth decade coming to a town near us.
I think it was Charlie that said the Stones are the only band where the band takes the cue from the rhythm guitar player not the drummer....so your observation is astute....
I was at this concert in Toronto tickets were hard to come by if I'm remember they played 3 nights they sold those 2concerts in a matter of hours and added a third show if I remember. It was a great concert ,but 1997 was much better they blew me away they sounded better than ever , thanks .
I love the way the Stones sometimes slipped things "in a double sense" into their songs. Here, "your love is just sweet addiction, I can't get you out of my veins", and in other songs, they were VERY straight forward. In Respectable, "we're doing heroin with the president, we'll it's a problem sir, but it can't be bent"
Si que es una rareza y de mis canciones favoritas de los Stones de su epoca ochentera. Fue un Top 40 en EU pero ha sido excluida de todas las compilaciones que han sacado de la epoca y discos en vivo.
Such an underrated song! I put this one up against all the Stones "Anthems" - it holds its own! If the Stones thought the same, they'd play it more often live and it might get the same credit...but I understand...it was written in troubled times and I believe those memorable guitar licks are originally from Jimmy Page.
You know, it always amazes me to see people on her criticize of the Stones. I've never seen one performance or heard one song that is "off." I guess you really have to have them in your heart, the true love for them not to post nasty and bitter comments. Just my thoughts.
Notice how some of the greatest Stones songs always have Bill Wyman turned up. Just to name a few: this song, Miss You, Gimme Shelter, Little T&A, Start Me Up, Jumpin Jack Flash, and many others. The band hasn't sounded the same since after this tour, which is when Bill said bye bye.
You can practically see Mick smiling as he's strumming the opening chords thinking "ha, c'mon Keith get in there." But as mentioned, yeah, Keith butchers the opening riff, Look at Wyman smile at Keith. Keith struggles to find the right timing and he eventually moves straight to the chords to the song trying to get out of the intro. Things fall into place when Charlie comes and then they're off. A couple more rehearsals could've helped this song but all in all..a great performance.
Muy bueno...Me encanta !! I'm guessing from Steel Wheels tour ('89); saw them in Philly on that tour and they did this and couple other numbers from "Dirty Work". Just missing that Jimmy Page solo @ the end LOL Muchas gracias, mi amigo...and sorry I don't know more Spanish :=)
So much is made of Mick Taylor who was a great guitarist, Ronnie Wood's history in Rock is second to no one as a musician.
Love your comment, i agree 100%, most authentic rock n roller he is.
His bass playing in The Jeff Beck group was high grade as well.
Love his slide guitar work, his solo playing on Some Girls is as raw as it gets.

Agree
True. Greetings from PL. Rip Charlie
weren't classics, come on Matt. LiB is my alltime favourite
@@joostvandervalk3361
You've misread his point!
He's saying that they did some albums that weren't classics like Exile & Let it Bleed ARE classics!!
( Bleed is also my very favourite.
I was young & my eldest brother had it !! 😄 )
Exactly. The 3 songs i most like on this album.
This song should of been played way more than it was. This song 🎵 is very very criminally underrated for sure 🎉🎉
Absolutely and you can here Jimmy Pages influence
@@nasimahmad733 -- One of my top Stones songs, but I really don't hear any Jimmy Page influence at all. Frankly, just the opposite.
@@ricenglish4556I hear you but Page contributed with a solo in the studio version.
@@nasimahmad733 -- That's interesting. I've heard the studio a million times and it sure sounds like a Ron Woods type of solo.
I wish they would play this more often. It's one of their best singles from the 80s.
Thank you, Mr. Jimmy Page.
On their worst day they're still better than anyone else.
Todd Victorson No doubt
Well said!
ROCANRROL=STONES!!!
I could not agree more !
Never tire of listening to them
ストーズのライヴには数え切れない位行っていますが、この曲は聴いた事がない。
ストーズのBestの一曲です♬
Супер!!!❤❤❤ Дай Бог Мику здоровья!!!
One of my favourite Stones songs.
One of my faves on the album dirty work.
I hope they play this again live
no way, this is rare...i dont see them playing this one again...
Well performed beginning to end. Charlie is like a machine - so dead on.
He actually came in early on this one … but otherwise agree :)
Most underrated song in their catalog!
I'm not a stones fan but this song is fucking awesome
I am a Stones fan and you are right. It also helps knowing that Jimmy Page did the track solo.

@ZeOneEnOnly Ahh I got you. Sorry about the misunderstanding.
@@cavdragoon funny, i missed him up there on stage w them ...
@@jimdiskin3760 Hence why I said in my initial comment that Page did the "Track" solo. Try to keep up.
Excelente de Venezuela saludos que banda tan increíble y Alucinante
Wow! Wish they would perform this one more often live! One of my favs from them too 💕 👏🏼 🎵 👍🏼
I think they didn't this since the steel wheel tour
I've never liked anyone as much as the Stones and doubt I ever will
Amen brother!
me too
I completely understand.
Probablement mon titre préféré des stones dans les 80's
Le clip est aussi génial ❤❤❤❤
Love this song. Very unique arraignment for a Stones song. Great chorus by Mick and the boys.
I was at this show, and it ROCKED. It was the first time I had ever seen
The Stones, and they did not dissapoint anyone. Great concert.
and as many as i have seen still the greatest rock and roll band
I have tickets to see their final show in 2084.......cant wait!!
See you there, then!
That's gold.😁
And the Tour is not called Steel Wheel anymore but Wheelchair Word Tour!
Hell yeah the first time I saw the Stones! Steel Wheels tour 89...great setlist! 🎶
A very good performance of one of the GREATEST Stones' song & videos. All-timers -- & this live version ain't bad !!
You know a performer is very professional when he worried about losing his energy due to cancer. I read Charlie said that years ago l think at the time of his first cancer diagnosis. But it very much seems he never lost his ability until his last illness.
Saw them tear it up in Atlantic city 89 on night before the televised show!❤
Me too
I saw the stones this tour....was something I was so proud of.. to be able to say I saw this iconic band perform live. I remember till the day I die.
@Robert E
😄
I saw them two times in '90 and in '94 in Germany
I just remember Start Me Up and 2000 light years from home
And the good german beers...
I bought this album on vinyl when it was first released. Still own it this song is the reason I bought it
This video reminds me just how excellent the Stones can be , and just how lucky I have been to have as the back drop off my life ......
can't believe I just found this song, epic
the album that contains this song (Dirty Work) the guitar solo is performed by Jimmy Page
Great song i liked it the very first time I heard it. Still love it.
I'm in Love with the " one hit to the body , one hit straight from the heart" girls ..
Those back up singers are amazing!
Este temazo no se pq no lo han tocado casi nunca, este es el único video que aparece.
The Stones in all their grandeur! Wish they'd performed this more often (hasn't come up in 14 on Fire)
You gotta give credit where credit is due, Mick Jagger is electric, awesome and spellbinding.
He always has been.
Even as a young-in just starting out.
Always mesmorizing.
Sad they don't perform this live more often and didn't include this on Grrr! Or any other greatest hits for that matter
Everytime I make a Stones compilation the first two songs are always One Hit To The Body and When The Whip Comes Down, it's a great one-two punch.
I’m so glad our heroes got out of the 80s intact for the most part. Now we can still enjoy the Stones live in their sixth decade coming to a town near us.

Great song, great performance.
Saw this 9/10/89 at Alpine Valley. They also played "2000 Light Years From Home"
After 30 some yrs this song came back to me. Great song
Don't overlook this song !!! ❤

Yeah! Me encanta mucho ésta! Uno de mis tours favoritos de los Stones!
God I've LOVED The Rolling Stones forever!
Hope they will play this song in the 24’ Tour. The first minute is pure Stones magic. Charlie heavily drives the tempo with perfection.
I love these guys ❤ I listen to them everyday 😊

Matt, you are so right. I love this tune, fun playing the drums to also
The gospel style ending they added is brilliant
So many good ideas. I like your messages
I saw them a few years later. They were awesome! I saw two nights in a row in the Bay Area.
The Stones love Toronto!
One hit to the body

I think only the solo is by Jimmy, though. The rest is from Ronnie and Keith.
I love this song...
Excellent! Saw them in 1991.

La mejor banda de rock del mundo
Very good song with guitars and drums and the mick

dannyd1572 Bill did not play the bass on Little T&A and Jumpin' Jack Flash, but despite of that, I agree with you, he was part of the Stones sound
why they never play this song anymore? best song from the 80s
Unici 💉🎸🎼 e stratosferici 🌿🎸
There is another good song on this album, Both songs together are worth the price.
Tolles Gitarre solo👌
Keith's opening riffs are amazing
He was so beautiful in his prime

ROLLING STONES - ONE HIT TO THE BODY LIVE TORONTO 1989
From the album Dirty Work , Vice Video !!!
Stones para siempre, ETERNOS
if you expect the stones to be well rehearsed on every song it defeats the purpose of them playing live
Ladies and Gentlemem.... The Rolling Stones.
fuck Kieth guitar wasnt loud enough at the begining.
Played just a few times this tour and only
Awesome more gems.......
Did you know Jimmy Page plays solo guitar and guitar throughout. Amazing!
Great song one of their best even without pages great playing its still good and holds up
He only played the short solo in this one song on the album
@@flyingburritobro68 He played main guitar solo on this song and also you can hear him playin through entire song
Hoping to listen this song LIVE in 2021....!
