Greetings all, commissioner here. In truth what sparked this idea for me was Mitsuru vs Weiss and I thought pitting these 2 androids would be a great idea. Now for similarities Both have received powers originally that they didn’t have ( Winter maidens power and the wildcard respectively) both are extremely skilled in a variety of weapons and lastly both are surprisingly human in spite of their mechanical orgins. Just to note I am aware that Penny became human in Rwby but this fight would happen before that while she was the Winter Maiden. Thank you again Brandon for taking this on its been a honor and pleaser and I look forward to both seeing your career in music bloom and coming to you for future commissions.

Damn, people just want to see Penny getting killed once again And in case someone disagree, just remember Weiss vs Mitsuru and keep in mind that Aigis is canonically stronger than Mitsuru
Not to mention that Death Battle fucking nerfed Mitsuru to shit just to make it seem like Weiss ever stood a chance. Without any outliers Persona characters can get to Multi Continental, and can move fast enough to dodge actual lightning unlike RWBY charcters.
Also remember that Death Battle loves to use strength/defense feats, and Penny has been able to lift all of Amity Colosseum into the atmosphere just using her body strength and the maiden powers (plus she was still able to lift it up quite a bit before ever activating her maiden powers).
If I had a penny (heh) for each time Yates released a Persona VS RWBY track, I’d have two. Which isn’t a lot, but its weird it happened twice. Man Brandon, you’re just releasing these tracks in rapid succession! Awesome work as always!
I think Penny should be pitted against Alice Bosconovitch from Tekken. They've got a lot in common both personality and abilities and even backstory, and so do their creators.
@@highlandave8507 I also agree that Penny should fight Alisa from Tekken since it's like what you said about them being comparable to each other but for Aigis, I would still suggest that she should fight Noel Vermillion from the BlazBlue series.
given penny's track record when it comes to fights, I can't say I have high hopes for her in this MU and since following P3 Aegis became a wild card (meaning she can use pretty much any persona besides the ones that belong to other characters,) she has the edge in adaptability though death battle doesn't really like player choice being a factor, so if it was just her initial persona I still think she has the edge
She lost to Pyrrha due to interference She won against Cinder twice. Was taken down by Ace-Ops while holding back. Her track record isn’t bad at all when you realize her losses are generally due to circumstance rather then her simply not being able to win.
@@mylessmith9758 ehh Cinder was crushing Penny and Winter combined in volume 7, Cinder only lost against Maiden Robot Penny due to Emerald immuity and then Penny lost in a fight against Cinder with Rwby and Jaune backing her up. And Penny was very easily handling Pyrrha in the fight we saw + plus the feats of Penny previously and after would destroy the areana let alone Pyrrha should Penny try to go laser everything . So it could be argued Penny's Pyrrha loss and Emerald/Cinder win are too circumstancial to apply to a death battle. Without polarity or illusion immunity (that arguably doesn't make sense) these fights go super different ways Even her loss against Ace Ops is a lot less impressive if Marrow says stay off the bat. Even in volume 7 Penny struggles to keep up with Tyrian. Rwby generally has that caveat of story Vs ability in opposition which means Pennys high feats are high (lifting Amnity) but in practical death battle basis don't hold up And ultimately it's ridiculous when you start to compare to upper end Persona feats. Rwby has always had a weird line of too strong for Avatar, not strong enough for anything else. Persona characters Are game characters and have video game mechanics to help them out in addition to story narrative
Both of them have oodles of ranged attacks and "dodge natural lightning" reaction times, but can fly at only subsonic speeds, so it probably comes down to durability. Can Aegis' Persona(e) block more damage than Penny's Aura and swords?
I feel like Aegis has this one in the bag. While Penny’s got many blades that shoot lasers and her aura can protect her from deadly blows Aegis is not just a living weapon she’s a living armory. She’s got way more on her disposal than Penny could dream of and not to mention she’s a wild card Persona user meaning she has the same powers to change Personas as Yu Narukami, Joker and Goro Akechi. Being the winter maiden won’t save Penny by a whole lot no matter how much I love how cute she is when she’s happy to be with friends especially Ruby since she sees our silver eyed girl with a scythe as her BFF
You know what I /really/ like about your Music, Brandon? I’ve been following your music since you first started music for Death Battle, and EVERY single song you work on genuinely sounds different. A few Music Artists I follow make great music, but it sometimes sounds like they follow the same type of flow. They repeat the same tunes throughout a few dozen songs. But YOU, my man. You make EVERYTHING unique and fresh. Every song you work on, even your Originals, which are SO creative, and each song you make for Matchups like these really capsulate the characters that the songs are for! And I think that deserves a lot of appreciation! That’s why you’re without a doubt my favourite Music Artist out here! Honestly one of my favorite fight ideas. A lot of people say Noel vs Aigis is better, but from what I know of blazblue, every character can like warp reality or something like that and that’s pretty much unbeatable. Sure, Aigis should stomp this match, but at least penny has a chance by using her maiden powers to exploit weaknesses, just by trying different abilities on her and seeing what works.
Well as one who wants to see Aigis VS Noel seeing as that is my most wanted fight but honestly, while I know Noel wins that one, I really don't want to go into that one as a stomp but I want to go into it as a fun matchup to see both Aigis and Noel give it everything they've got.

Honestly I love this concept but there I feel that Sophia from persona 5 strikers would be fairer Keep in mind aegis gets wild card powers whilst Sophia is a more standard persona user and given penny’s use of multiple swords versus the boxes that make up Sophia’s first persona you have more similarities

She gave Elizabeth a hard time when they fought who is outright able to stomp a being stronger than Nyx. Aigis could just use a Persona that gives out Null damage to physical attacks which make up 90% of Penny's arsenal, so Penny would struggle to deal ANY damage to Aigis, and given her already universal scaling its unlikely she would even get a chance to deal a killing blow before Aigis skewers her with literally any element, especially since they already proved in Weiss vs Mitsuru that Personas already are way faster than any RWBY character.

Cool track, not my preferred Aigis MU (Currently don't have one but I know it's not gonna be an MU with a RWBY character). But damn... Poor Penny. Aigis destroys her without a second of hesitation.
Also to anyone saying Noel from Blazblue, I know that MU exists. I just don't like it, I don't see the connections aside from cute popular blonde chicks. If there are more connections then that please tell me, because I won't be able to understand the MU otherwise, and therefore I won't be able to enjoy it. Especially since Aigis is a character from a franchise that I love, and she dies to Noel, someone who I really couldn't care less at this point. Not saying that I hate Noel, or that she's trash, I'm just not really interested in her currently (Reminds of Gray VS Esdeath in that regard). So yeah Aigis VS Noel isn't going up there.

Damn good track and cover art, really fun track musically and animation wise this matchup could be a lot of fun with the unique but well meshing powersets As for the actual Matchup? Yeah it's a curbstomp in Aegis' favor. Penny is definitely one of the stronger RWBY characters and could probably match (or maybe surpass but I doubt that) The Journey Aegis, but Aegis got a lot stronger since the journey and especially with her status as a wild card she should end up leagues above Penny in terms of stats, abilities and versatility. Like you might be able to argue a speed advantage for Penny but that's about it. Connections seem fine (sentient robot life designed to be weapons but become sentient and gain humanity through friendship is a solid connection). I'd probably still go with the more popular Aegis vs Noel for Aegis and Penny would probably work better against Vatista (Under Night In-Birth), since iirc they're slightly closer connections wise and it should be a more fair matchup (since iirc that game isn't as strong featwise as Persona). Still a solid matchup and I'd be down with it.
@@Samur-ye9lk Yeah like don't get me wrong with Vatista, you would need to either make sprites for Penny or a 3D model of Vatista whereas with Alisa, they do have the resources for Penny's model but while Alisa's got pretty good models, I feel like they would make a new model for her to be on par with the RWBY Models like imagine Alisa being in the RWBY Universe.

All we need now is Yang vs Akihiko. Powerful bruisers that specialize in boxing, are the biggest physical hitters on their teams, motivated by family (Aki by the loss of his sister and best friend, Yang by her team), and BBTAG.
Huh, I was always thinking if Penny was ever going to be commissioned, I always figured it would've been Penny vs Poppi α (Xenoblade Chronicles 2). But Aegis a more smarter choice. Also, beautiful track, yet again.
Both are much more fair matches. Penny, via the Amity feat, Probably beats Alisa. Depending on HOW much you wanna scale Persona characters, it's hard to decide between Aigis and Noel. But Aigis ABSOLUTELY dominates Penny. She's protagonist strong. And Persona protags are KINDA ridiculous.
Can't bear to see Best Bots suffering, so I hope this song never gets a proper matchup. Also missed opportunity: samples or homages to Heartful Cry would've made this bump even harder. Still a good track overall!
Aegis has this, compared to penny who was the winter maiden (which could mean at most she compared to 2 others: raven and cinder), aegis is a part of a group of persona users who are can the fool persona aka the main protags as well as goro akechi not only that, but she can toe to toe with very powerful demons

Rwby, persona and pokemon are the stars of commissions and it makes sense because of the insane amount of characters and potential death battles Honestly have mack vs penny for penny And Aegis vs Zero or Ironing board/Noel Vermillion but this is fine. Anyways using only person 3 aegis still wins. Music pretty great and I hear both influences. -I just want tales of, power rangers or symphogear commissions tbh-

As much as I like Penny, I know that she can't beat Aigis though if anything, Aigis loses to Noel from BlazBlue but we all have to make some sacrifices since not all our favorites can win their fights, I know from experience when Nightmare lost to Guts and I was disappointed but as long as they give it their very all until the very end.
A match-up I sadly can't seem to convince people to like is Penny vs Tex (from RVB). Granted, she has like 20 possible opponents, doesn't she? I say yay to any Penny love.
Ok i want to make a comm of battle music between either Oryx the taken king or Eramis from bungies Destiny franchise, VS arthys the lich king from world of warcraft, but I have no money and no job. Like i imagine the themes name for each of the match ups. Oryx, vs Arthys theme name would be "Immortal tyrants" or "army of shadows". And Arthys VS Eramis theme name would be "the Road to hell" or "Frozen Rage".
To be honest, if I had to pick a fighter for Penny, I would've choose Tekken's Alisa Boskonovitch, since both fighters are considered family in the eyes of their creators. I honestly believe the Personas are somewhat broken (considering the Weiss vs. Mitsuru fight), but then again I wouldn't mind a Triple Threat Match between them.
I would pick Alisa myself since I can see how her and Penny would be comparable to each other but for Aigis, I would pit her against Noel Vermillion from BlazBlue.

i saw aegis and i thought this was Penny vs The Aegis from xc2 and i said a prayer for penny before clicking but it's person aegis so i think penny stands a better chance here

I WAS pitting Penny against Android 18 from DBZ, but then again, 18's not fully a machine. This makes way more sense.
I did 18 as an opposite relationship. Penny seeks to protect those she loves, and 18 was created to destroy.

Honestly I love this concept but there I feel that Sophia from persona 5 strikers would be fairer
Keep in mind aegis gets wild card powers whilst Sophia is a more standard persona user and given penny’s use of multiple swords versus the boxes that make up Sophia’s first persona you have more similarities

@@mylessmith9758 @myles smith Aigis defeated Nyx who was capable of outright destroying an entire universe and nearly did. She gave Elizabeth a hard time when they fought who is outright able to stomp a being stronger than Nyx.
Aigis could just use a Persona that gives out Null damage to physical attacks which make up 90% of Penny's arsenal, so Penny would struggle to deal ANY damage to Aigis, and given her already universal scaling its unlikely she would even get a chance to deal a killing blow before Aigis skewers her with literally any element, especially since they already proved in Weiss vs Mitsuru that Personas already are way faster than any RWBY character.

Cool track, not my preferred Aigis MU (Currently don't have one but I know it's not gonna be an MU with a RWBY character). But damn... Poor Penny. Aigis destroys her without a second of hesitation.

Also to anyone saying Noel from Blazblue, I know that MU exists. I just don't like it, I don't see the connections aside from cute popular blonde chicks. If there are more connections then that please tell me, because I won't be able to understand the MU otherwise, and therefore I won't be able to enjoy it. Especially since Aigis is a character from a franchise that I love, and she dies to Noel, someone who I really couldn't care less at this point. Not saying that I hate Noel, or that she's trash, I'm just not really interested in her currently (Reminds of Gray VS Esdeath in that regard).
So yeah Aigis VS Noel isn't going up there.

Now I can understand why you don't like the matchup and that's fine but I felt like it's better for someone who has familiarity with the matchup like myself that can tell you what Aigis and Noel have in common.
Damn good track and cover art, really fun track musically and animation wise this matchup could be a lot of fun with the unique but well meshing powersets
As for the actual Matchup? Yeah it's a curbstomp in Aegis' favor. Penny is definitely one of the stronger RWBY characters and could probably match (or maybe surpass but I doubt that) The Journey Aegis, but Aegis got a lot stronger since the journey and especially with her status as a wild card she should end up leagues above Penny in terms of stats, abilities and versatility. Like you might be able to argue a speed advantage for Penny but that's about it.
Connections seem fine (sentient robot life designed to be weapons but become sentient and gain humanity through friendship is a solid connection). I'd probably still go with the more popular Aegis vs Noel for Aegis and Penny would probably work better against Vatista (Under Night In-Birth), since iirc they're slightly closer connections wise and it should be a more fair matchup (since iirc that game isn't as strong featwise as Persona). Still a solid matchup and I'd be down with it.
Another Penny matchup that works along with Vatista is Alisa from Tekken.

@@Samur-ye9lk Yeah like don't get me wrong with Vatista, you would need to either make sprites for Penny or a 3D model of Vatista whereas with Alisa, they do have the resources for Penny's model but while Alisa's got pretty good models, I feel like they would make a new model for her to be on par with the RWBY Models like imagine Alisa being in the RWBY Universe.

As much as I like Penny, I know that she can't beat Aigis though if anything, Aigis loses to Noel from BlazBlue but we all have to make some sacrifices since not all our favorites can win their fights, I know from experience when Nightmare lost to Guts and I was disappointed but as long as they give it their very all until the very end.

Ok i want to make a comm of battle music between either Oryx the taken king or Eramis from bungies Destiny franchise, VS arthys the lich king from world of warcraft, but I have no money and no job.

Oryx, vs Arthys theme name would be "Immortal tyrants" or "army of shadows".
And Arthys VS Eramis theme name would be "the Road to hell" or "Frozen Rage".
To be honest, if I had to pick a fighter for Penny, I would've choose Tekken's Alisa Boskonovitch, since both fighters are considered family in the eyes of their creators.
I honestly believe the Personas are somewhat broken (considering the Weiss vs. Mitsuru fight), but then again I wouldn't mind a Triple Threat Match between them.
I would pick Alisa myself since I can see how her and Penny would be comparable to each other but for Aigis, I would pit her against Noel Vermillion from BlazBlue.
Alisa, Poppi (Xenoblade Chronicles), Zane (Ninjago) and Mack Hartford (Power Rangers) are my favourite Penny opponents

i'm getting tired of this much RWBY and Persona. Ok, ok, I'll cover it up. The track at first seemed like I wasn't gonna like it, but I actually liked it a lot. Pretty vibey track ngl. I love the mechanical sound effects for the track. I actually loved this track. Sad its shorter than usual tho.
